Very fresh and well equipped apartment, with a large and useful roof terrace. Exellent in most aspects, only minor problem is lack of reading lamps.

This was our first year visiting this area. Other family have been to this area for the last 4 years and keep going back and we can see why!!! Firstly the apartment is equipped to a a very high standard. and there is everything you need and more. It was extremely clean and the roof terrace a delight, especially to watch the sunsets. We felt at home in this apartment and are children loved it, especially the pool which the apartment overlooked. This too was immaculate and very clean. The whole area is idyllic and there are plenty of good eating places. Loved it so much we hope to book here again for next year.

met very friendly lady with key without hassle to be let into this absolutley perfect villa/apartment , very clean ,very tidy and well equipped throughout, only 2 of us stayed here but the place would sleep four easily , excellent spacious rooftop bbq area that we used most days with sunloungers and nice views, great neighbours, perfect weather in march 2012 and the towns of la azohia with chrystal clear blue sea and about 6-7 nice bars / tapas places to eat (5 mins walk) and puerto de mazzaron (about 10 mins away in car ) were great too, chilled out bars, nice people , cheap food /beer and lovely port/harbour area in puert mazzaron and towns felt very safe too! honestly there was no down sides to this villa or holiday but would recommend getting a hire care from airport as la azohia is a very small town and dont take this as gospel but id think it would be tricky to get to by bus, overall 10 out of 10 for cleanliness, equipment and at a good price-have already recommended to my uncle and hes booking up soon we liked it that much!!!!!!!

Hi June,
I hope you are well.
I am sending this message to say what a wonderful holiday we both had.
And the apartment was fabulous. We have never stayed in such a well equiped
apartment.
The resort suited us down to the ground no fish chips and mushy peas to be seen anywhere.
Hopefully we will be looking to go again next October what a wonderful part of the country
Thank you again

Just had 3 glorious weeks at Pinocasa La
Azohia.
This is my second 3 weeks stay in this lovely
apartment.
Ths surrounding area is just so beautiful, very
spannish atmosthere.
The apartment is a home from home, it has
all the things you would normally get at home.
Its very clean and bright, and has a real spannish feel.
We loved the roof solarium, and had many
romantic barbecues in the evening.
Weather during August was extremely hot.
Looking forward to booking again next year but
as I have found out not to leave it too late as
the apartment is always booked well in advance.

This has been our 5th time to La Azohia and only now we have found this wonderful apartment. It is very nicely decorated and has everything we needed during our 4 weeks stay. We definitely enjoyed the air conditioning and the mosquito screens. Our most favourite place was the solarium: from working out in the early morning to having a nice glass of wine late at night - everything was possible. It really adds another room to enjoy and helps to escape the crowdy beach on Sundays in July. We will definitely be back even this year.

Dear sirs
BC to June Barclay
the apartment was quit perfect, fully equipment, with a fine personnel style.
The decoration and the material was a real pretty good.
I thing it could be not better done!
the only Problem are that the booking is only possible to pay in Pound and so we lost many.
We have to pay for Credit card in we.UK.
1,29 +6,41 Pound=7,70 Pound.In Germany 1,17+ 3,90 Euro=5,07
Total we paid inclusive Breakage deposit
316,39+68,24 =Euro 384,63
Fore the Breakage deposit we paid in Euro 178,45 (currency 1 Pound was 1,1897 Euro)
and get back ( probably) by currency 1 Pound is today 0,89 Euro 133,50
so we lost fore Currency reasons 44,95 Euro
Charges for Credit cards (7,7 Pound) 9,08 Euro + 5,07 Euro in Germany.
So the extra cost to book in a U.K..k. are 59,1 Euro!
this is around 30 % percent more than the booking price .
Finally we paid for the wonderfully Flat 251,00 Euro!!
The same Apartment if we book now is 133,5 Euro + Charges.
This is one disadvantage to book in Europe, but not in Euro.
greetings

This appartment was perfect. Beautifully furnished with everything one might need, together with lots of useful information on the many sights to see in the area. The appartment is in an ideal position by the sea and the roof top terrace made it a very relaxing place to spend time.

We thought the apartment in La Azohia would be nice from the photos but when we arrived we found it to be even better than our expectations. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The furnishings were very bright and cheerful in fact it we felt it was like staying as a house guest rather than in a rented appartment. The roof terrace was a real bonus with views of the hills and sea. La Azohia itself is very un-spoilt and we would recommend this resort to anyone who wants a very relaxing break.

The apartment was clean and well maintained. The owners must have given a great deal of thought as to what is required for a holiday as nothing was missing.
The welcome pack certainly came in handy as it was after 9pm when we arrived, thank you.

Hi June
Just thought I would dro p you a line as we're back in grim England now!
We were completely bowled over with your apartment and all its facilities and we couldnt have asked for anything more. We were so at home and the roof terrace was outstanding - we made good use of this and it was a real bonus to us - we would definitely opt for a first floor apartment again.
Pamela was lovely and very welcoming and we have her number to book for next year, although we know we wont get one as good as yours. I know you said yours was booked for the whole of August next year, so we'll have to look for another one on the complex.
We had a lovely time, the kids enjoyed it and we couldnt have wished for anything else. The weather was blistering the first week and we had a few days that were overcast but it gave the kids a break from the sun.
Thank you so much again. Keep in touch as it's a real possibility we will keep on going to L'Azohia.
Regards.

Hi June,
Just a quick message to say thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful apartment for the past two weeks. From reading the reviews and comments in the visitors book I think that everything has been said about the apartment that can be said - we had a wonderful holiday and appreciated everything that the apartment had to offer, especially the solarium on the roof. When on holiday I always try to catch up on my reading and spent every evening after returning from a meal sitting there reading and sipping the odd glass of wine,, sometimes until well after midnight - I found that so special and so relaxing, as did my partner Marlene (who couldn't quite manage the midnight part!)
Unfortunately my daughter and her partner couldn't get the tiime off work to join us as planned but when they saw the photographs this evening were very very jealous - demanding that we return next year so that they too can enjoy both the apartment and the resort. I would certainly like to return again next year.
I have just been onto the Villarenters site and found that the apartment is already booked up or not available next August - can you recommend any other similar aprtments on the same complex that might be available (must have solarium!)
Once again many many thanks - after a very hard year at work this holiday was just what we both needed.
Best wishes
John

Pino Casa has everything needed for a relaxing holiday it is very well equipped with quality furniture throughout. The outstanding feature has to be the solarium on the roof where there are sunbeds, a bbq, a shower and a large family table under protective shading. This area is ideal to sit out in during the day but even better at night when the temperature was still in the high 20s, even at midnight. La Azohia is a lovely quiet resort with lots of beach and quite a few good restaurants serving fresh fish. The resort is mainly used by the Spanish themselves and the beaches can get relatively busy over the weekends but during the week they are quite deserted. If you want a peaceful, tranquil holiday this is the place if you want lots of nightlife it isnt. We will certainly be returning to La Azohia and look forwards to staying in Pino Casa again.

Lovely, immaculate apartment, everything you need with an exceptionally spacious terrace above - ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine (of which there is plenty). Very helpful and generous owner. Great pool within the immediate vicinity. Beaches uncrowded and safe - however would definitely recommend hiring a car. We would recommend this apartment to those who enjoy the real Spain and are seeking a relaxing holiday.

This was my second visit to this apartment and I rate it very highly - excellent value for money.
The property was clean to a high standard and very comfortable. New addition of glass shower screen and safe for valuables is a bonus.
Season just beginning at the middle of May - though a few restaurants not open yet. Weather warm but not too hot so nice for walking and visiting.
Safe for children, as although it is up a small flight of stairs, there are safety gates inside and outside the property so children are secure.
Friendly people at the Pines snack bar, and good breakfasts.
Would definitely visit again.

We have just returned from staying at this extremely lovely property. It has everything you could ask for. The weather was very kind to us but if it had changed, June has thought of everything to keep you entertained in the apartment, from DVDs, CDs,radio and Satalite TV. There are also plenty of indoor and out door games, as well as many books. We enjoy as part of our holiday making our own meals and I can highly recommend the supermarkets in the port and also the aparment in the kitchen which is so well stocked with utensils, pots and crockery, that it is no problem making a lovely meal. We both enjoyed sitting on the terrace haveing a nice glass of wine or beer, whilst waiting on the meal cooking. The veiws from the roof terrace are very good and it was lovely watching the sunset. I would definetly recommend this apartment and surrounding area to explore there is so much on your door step, especially with the new road networks. We can not wait until we return in July with our daughter and grandaughter, who I know will enjoy the nearby beach which is safe for young children to go into the sea. We where met by Pam when we first arrived as described by June and she made us very welcome and gave us interesting information about the surrounding area and interesting places to visit as well as telling us where the best places to go for menu del-day. All I can say is that I have found both June and Pam very helpful and informative with regards to our stay in this lovely apartment .

Excellent value for money as we used the property in the winter season. The property was immaculate with everything we and our 2 young children could need. We would, and have, recommended the property to friends. The area would be of interest to walkers and cyclists as it provides mountainous coastal challenges for both. If you want a lovely beach, La Azohia is probably a little lacking, but there are some reasonably nice beach areas quite nearby.

Wonderful. The directions were especially good from the airport to the apartment. Lots of information about local places of interest but these need updating as we had some difficulty finding them. On returning to the Uk we see clear directions are available online.
The provision of a foodpack when we were renting at a discounted price was particularly generous.
Very pleased with our week there.

Fantastic location if you like quiet places that are typically Spanish. We had the best paella and local wines ever down near the beach but mainly BBQed on the roof top terrace. The villa is so well equipped that there is hardly any reason to leave it. We spent 2 weeks in 3 different parts of Spain on 3 entirley different holidays as it were. The first part was planned as just pure relaxation and June made this possible at her lovely apartment. This was the perfect start to our holiday.

I'm just a tiny bit biased, I live on El Pinar where Pino Casa is located & have seen outside & inside most of the apartments available as rentals here. We chose Pino Casa for our family, 2 adults & 2 children for a very special family reunion. We wanted everything to be perfect for these family members as it was their 1st visit to La Azohia, Pino Casa certainly gave them perfection.
Thank you so much June for providing the apartment with everything that anyone could need for a very enjoyable holiday. The quality of the furnishings, linen & kitchen utensils are superb! We had fantastic BBQs on the solarium most evenings until midnight, there was really no need to eat out with such a fantastic professional BBQ to be experimented on.
Our family were bowled over by the fantastic sea views & the location of Pino Casa. The children loved the pool & the beach. It was so easy for us to take the children for a walk along the beach before bedtime while their parents got the food ready for the BBQ. Terry & Jackie from the Pines Bar & Grill made our family including the children feel very welcome, especially on the couple of rainy days we had. Once again June, thank you so much for a fantastic family reunion. Pamela Minto, El Pinar de San Gines, La Azohia.

The apartment was exactly as described and very good value for money. It was extremely clean and comfortable with every whim catered for, and the dishwasher is very useful for families. A five minute brisk walk takes you to the beach and the lovely walks along the paseo. Mid April was windy and wet but we did have some nice days. Not much is open this early in the season but that said, we did manage to find places to eat out in Isla Plana and Puerto de Mazzaron, both places just a few minutes drive away. Plenty of good walking around and about and the 45 minute walk up to the tower on the end of the bay is a delight. You can see the whole of the bay from up there. Local food is good and in expensive and the bodegas have good quality wines at prices to die for and inexpensive wine from the barrel if you're thirsty ! I would thoroughly recommend this property and destination.

Great property in a lovely peaceful location. As said in other reviews, the apartment was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and the roof terrace was fantastic!
There was building work going on behind, but it wasn't close enough to affect our holiday or the time we spent outside.
The only thing lacking was the sunshine for half of the six days we spent there, but the fact that the apartment was so well equipped partly compensated for this.
All in all we had a lovely time and would recommend the apartment to others.

"When you go away on holiday", you hope that the accomodation that you stay in better than your own. Pinocasa has been furnished and equipped to a high standard. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The location of the apartment is quiet and a little of the beaten track, but thas is precisely what we wanted from our holiday. The views from the apartment are spectacular.
La Azohia is a quite uncomercialissed village, with just a few bar and tavernas. However a short drive takes you to the bustling Cartagena.
Just what the doctor ordered - a quite relaxing holiday.
Review submitted by King from Rainham, Essex (Submitted: 1 Nov 2006)
The apartment was home from home I didn't need to have taken my hair dryer, or curling tongs. It was great to have things like the washing machine and sky t.v. that actually worked. The kitchen was well equipped.
A welcome pack awaited us which was very welcomed after turning up at around 10.30 pm thirsty and hungry.
The welcome from Pamela who let us in to the apartment was great and she was very helpful in directing us to places to visit on our stay.
Views from the upper terrace (solarium) was great, even though there was work still going on at the back it didn't disturb us in the least. The pool was slightly on the small side and probably wouldn't accommodate too many people in or around it, but its good for a quick swim in.
There is a little pub on site which provides food too, including your breakfast (very cheap), and I was told there should be a shop for provisions next year (which is a bonus as the nearest supermarket is towards the Port of Mazzoron 10 - 15 mins drive (recommend Upper or Mercodona supermarkets, weren't too keen on Abol).
The scenery around is very picturesque with mountains and little bays all around. Very untouched by tourism. Snorkelling is fun.
Went to see the Guns of Mazzaron, and went into the mountains (recommend this).
Car is definately an essential.
Weather was just right for October managed to get into my bikini (not for size!).
Just a little critism could do with a few more maps/places to visit or instructions on how to get to information centres etc. Did leave what we picked up in the apartment.
To sum up would definately recommend this value for money apartment.
Marion, Tony Jane and her friend Chloe.

Just to let you know that we are all back from Spain safe and well. Your apartment was one of the best that we have stayed in for many years. Clive and Pamela have been more than helpful during our two week stay. We did hire a car for one week and drove around Port Mazerron, very pleasant place to visit. Maria and I have been so surprise by the area we will go back next September, so keep one eye on this space. Thank for letting us know about Graham he was also helpful with a lot of information. Review submitted by Jacqui from Pinocasa La Azohia (Submitted: 5 Sep 2006)
Pino casa is a real 'home from home' and everything two adults, a teenager and a 6yr old could need had been provided by the owner - it was just as enjoyable to come back to the apartment as it was spending the day snorkelling at the nearby beach or exploring further afield!
When we tired from eating out at the many restaurants in La Azohia and the nearby Puerto Mazarron there was a fully equipped kitchen and also home entertainment in the form of satellite TV, an extensive DVD movie collection and cd player - we had to bribe our youngest to come ut more than once as he was on a mission to get through the complete starwars collection!!
La Azohia has not been commercialised as has much of the spanish coastline and remains unspoilt by mass tourism. It retains a real charm and a slow, relaxed pace of life. There are several restaurants and low key bars but if you like a livelier night the the port area is only 10 mins away. You can party or karaoke till dawn if that's your thing. There are some excellent restaurants too and numerous other bays to explore if you fancy a change from La Azohia.
The beach is perfect for families, sand or pebbles depending on your preference and the sea shelves gently into deeper water only after hundreds of yards. If you want banana boats and thumping music though you need to look elsewhere! Instead you can dive one of the four schools, snorkel, learn to sail, windsurf or take a fishing trips from the jetty.
We found the motorway networks in the Costa Calida to be excellent and we did quite a bit of tavelling during our stay as we wanted to revisit parts of Andalucia and Costa Blanca that we had visited in the past as well as check out La Manga and the Mar Menor - I think my teenage daughter was hoping to see a footballer or two at the La Manga Club!
We enjoyed these days out but I always felt a quiet satisfaction on coming back to La Azohia as I reckon it's just about as good as it gets....

Firstly the apartment is great. When we arrived we were met by a lovely couple who showed us around and told us where the best restaurants were. The apartment is a home away from home with the comfort of a dishwasher, a washing m/c and a large BBQ. These items are invaluable when spending two weeks on a beach! Trust me! The apartment is new and very well decorated and equipped. There is a massive roof top area where we had a number of BBQ’s and dinners. There are great views of the sea and mountains from it too. Most nights we watched the sun go down while sipping wine bought from the local super market.
An excellent location for those who like to relax. The beach is only 4 mins walk away and is not over run. There is plenty to do for those who like water sports and if you simply like to sit on the beach you have a choice of sandy or stony beaches. There are a number of bars and restaurants along the beach and the cost of drinks is very low at €1 for a beer. However I would recommend checking out the village Isla Plana for better restaurants. It’s about an 8 min drive from the apartment. I would defiantly recommend that you hire a car as there are a number of great historical places to visit which are approximately 1 hours drive from the apartment. We also visited a vineyard which was about a 2 hour drive but well worth it. I would also recommend you get aircon in the car as the temperature was 30+ everyday. However, there is a lovely breeze coming in off the sea and so it does not feel so hot. The aircon in the apartment is a real plus!
The only down side is that there is a bit of building work going on in the region as it is up and coming. However the road network is great as a result.
In short I would definitely recommend this apartment and will certainly revisit it again. The owners have put a lot of effort into ensuring we had a great stay. There is even SKY and a DVD player with lots of great movies which we enjoyed watching. Best of luck and enjoy LaAzoia.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxury apartment. The apartment far exceeded our expectations. It is furnished to a really high standard. The rooftop solarium is an added bonus and fantastic for al-fresco dining and sunbathing.

A 4.5 star apartment in a very beautiful and quite place in Spain just what the Doctor ordered, it has everything you need its like home from home without all the hassle & bussel, oh and a great bar/bistro 45 sec's away. I would get the extra .5 when the pool is open, but don't worry there is an ocean only 7 minutes walk away, but you are letting from a FIVE STAR COUPLE and thats True********
