This modern ground floor holiday apartment is situated in peaceful surroundings just a few minutes walk from the charming village of La Cala.This lovely apartment has 2 bedrooms, The main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. There is also a guest shower room. The apartment is suitable for up to 6 people utilising the double sofa bed in the lounge area. There is also a flat screen TV with Sky freeview and a DVD player. The Kitchen area is fully fitted including dishwasher and washing machine. There is a private garden with patio and the apartment is just a short walk to a shared swimming pool.The apartment is furnished to the highest standard. The lounge-dining area with sofa bed opens out onto a south west facing private garden (ideal for sun bathing) and a furnished covered dining area perfect for al fresco dining.The master bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobes and a full ensuite bathroom, as well as direct access to the terrace and the second bedroom also has fitted wardrobes and is furnished with two single beds.The modern kitchen is fully-equipped and has an open bar area onto the lounge/dining area.As an added benefit the apartment comes with secure underground parking with a lift up to the floor where the apartment is located."La Cala", as this charming village is affectionately known to local residents, lies on the Costa del Sol approximately 20 minutes drive from Malaga International Airport. The long beaches are well cared for with clean and soft golden sand.Whilst La Cala has maintained a level of real Spain it has also taken on, in a small way, something of an international flavour. You will find an abundance of good quality sports and recreation facilities both in and around La Cala de Mijas. The tennis club "Club del Sol" welcomes all comers as does the Lawn bowls centre at Miraflores There are gymnasiums, dive centres and virtually every outdoor activity within minutes of the village. Of course special mention should be given to the competition standard golf courses at La Cala and Mijas Golf, Santana Golf and El Chaparral - these courses are available to non members, tuition is available and equipment can be hired.Horse riding in the hills behind La Cala is a must if you enjoy this activity but if your interest in horses is strictly as a spectator, then the Hipodrome may well be for you. Recently built, the "Hipodrome del Costa del Sol" is just on the outskirts of La Cala and makes for a great family night out.You are sure to enjoy the wide range of good quality restaurants available right here in the village or scattered in every direction close by. Ranging from the most simple to the most expensive they include Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, French, plus of course a wide range of Spanish restaurants anxious to display their culinary talents. Of particluar mention is "El Gusto" located in the village next to "Biddy Mulligans Irish Tavern". It presents an extensive menu of quality food cooked to order. Or if you fancy having a breakfast or lunch out we highly recommend " Snack Attack" which is situated just down the road from the apartment turning right at the bottom of the road and about 100 metres along. They present an excellent choice of Tapas, Sandwiches, Ploughmans and other types of snack foods to cater for every taste, and a range of drinks. La Cala as a holiday base is perfect throughout the whole year. The climate is such that you will be able to enjoy the seamless indoor/outdoor lifestyle which has made the Costa del Sol so popular for so many years.Within easy striking distance of La Cala de Mijas are all of the internationally famous names such as Puerto Banus, Marbella, Torremolinos and Fuengirola.Wi-Fi network available for a small charge paid locally For the kids there is lots to do. we are minutes away from Tivoli World, the Fuengirola Zoo, Sea Life and then of course the wonderful beaches and splash parks - for the "big kids" Marbella Casino and the Hipodrome.
