Golfing
The apartments are located very near to La Duquesa Golf Course Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this 18-hole, 72 par course is a must for all serious golfers. The course winds round El Hacho beacon hill with magnificent views over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and to Africa. It has five par 3s, eight par 4s, and five par 5s, with two small man-made lakes. It offers an interesting and varied game due to its long fairways and has two clearly different parts. The first 9 holes are of a certain "English style" with narrow fairways and high greens. Particularly beautiful is the 4th hole for its magnificent views of the Med, Gibraltar and Africa, but it can also easily give you trouble with your scorecard. The 8th par 3 is only 125m long but has a dro p of 30m The second 9 are easier with wide fairways, although the green will supply additional difficulties. La Duquesa:
Designed by Robert Trent Jones and established in 1985, La Duquesa winds round El Hacho beacon hill with magnificent views over the Mediterranean, Gibraltar and to Africa. The demanding course requires accurate driving and concentration. The 8th par 3 is only 125m long but has a dro p of 30m!
The course has good practice facilities and lessons for all standards of players can be arranged. This is near my Private estate

Valderrama:
Home to the 1997 Ryder Cup and host in November 99 to the World Golf Championships, Valderrama is rated as Europes No 1 course, and is one of its toughest challenges. Immaculate fairways, notoriously difficult par 5s, super fast greens, everything about this course is stunning. Booking is difficult as tee times are very limited. About a 5 minute drive from the estate.

San Roque:
A Dave Thomas designed course and always kept in immaculate condition, San Roque has been the venue for a number of European Championships. The front nine meander through woodland with 100 year old cork trees, whilst water presents the main hazard on the return leg, notably on the 12th and 18th. Quality golf on a superb course. Approx 10 minutes drive
Sotogrande:
Often voted amongst the top 10 courses in Europe. Sotogrande opened in 1964. Its 18 manicured holes, designed by Robert Trent Jones, have established trees of oak, pine, eucalyptus and palm. Water also plays an important part, affecting play on the majority of the back nine. This a 10 minute drive from the estate. Approx 15 minute drive.

Outdoors
The terrace contains tables chairs and sunbeds. Situated within the tastefully landscaped tropical gardens the childrens adventure playground, picnic area, pool, paddle pool, spas,sauna,gym,hot tub,mini-golf, paddle tennis, restaurant, bar are just metres away from the apartment. The pool and tropical gardens, which are subtly illuminated at night, provide a very pleasing atmosphere.
Local Attractions: You can use the apartment as a relaxing base for sightseeing.For walkers you will find wild thyme and lavender amongst the gentle foothills of the Ronda. Or visit the historic sites in ancient Manilva. It has well preserved Roman Baths which are in use and free.Whether its miles of pristine beaches (many earning the European Blue Flag for cleanliness) or rugged mountains with their wildlife, the La Duquesa area offers every type of terrain. Rising virtually from the beaches, the mountains hide their medieval towns like little jewels of the famed White Villages.
