The outdoor terraces are extensive and include alfresco dining area with table for 8 and BBQ. There's plenty of room to sit and take in the views of the Lagoon. Steps down to our large pool deck with ample sun loungers and chairs which cleverly incorporates a hot/cold outdoor shower for use after your dip in the solar heated 10m x 5m infinity pool with overflow design pouring over the edges to the lower feature pools at garden level. Pool man maintains the pool on a weekly basis. Steps down from pool deck lead to the gardens, with an outdoor bathroom incorporating WC, wash basin. The gardens are immaculately landscaped with a wide variety of plants. Large lawn areas and stone steps down to a lower tier, we especially love our olive, lemon and orange trees. An irrigation system keeps things watered and they're maintained once a week by our gardener. Upper bedrooms all have outdoor terraces with amazing views over the surrounding countryside and ocean. Perfect sun traps for reading!Coast/BeachFrom Meia Praia the 5km long open sandy beach that stretches from Lagos Marina to the Alvor Estuary, to the secluded unspoilt beaches of the West Coast. Some of the best beaches in Europe! Meia Praia can be seen from the villa, and you can walk down to the Fish Farms and Oyster Beds here.GolfThere are a number of top class golf courses within easy reach of the villa with Palmares and its new 27 holes being situated virtually on the door step. Boavista, Parque De Floresta to name a couple more are also within a very short drive.The AlgarveThis area promises a fantastic climate and year round sunshine, and as a working fishing town nearby Lagos has something going on all year round. The historic old town with its warren of twisted cobbled streets contrasts its sophisticated restaurants with small local eating places tucked in the back of beyond. Jazz clubs, night clubs, bars, cafes, shops and boutiques all blend with the mixture of historical buildings and Moorish architecture. The streets become alive in the evenings with buskers and entertainers. Many excursions can be booked on the Marina itself i.e. sailing, power boating, boat charters, dolphin safaris, big game fishing, and grotto trips, and to keep the children entertained there are also two water parks in the area, the Zoomarine where you can swim with the dolphins and Lagos Zoo with over 120 species of animals all living in their natural habitats. Odiaxere your 'local village' 5 minutes drive away hosts all necessary amenities i.e. chemist, supermarket, restaurants, bars, cafes, bank, daily fish/vegetable market selling local produce.
