The Area

Situated in an area of ‘Real’ Spain. This apartment sleeps up to 7 and affords magnificent views along the clean, safe Blue Flag beaches to Denia/Oliva in the south and Gandia and beyond to the north.

You will enjoy taking breakfast on the balcony and watching the fishing boats returning from their early morning trips, with wonderful catches of seafood, later available at local restaurants, or alternatively relaxing in the late evening, with the distant lights creating a magical atmosphere, in the barmy air.
Situated in a solely residential area of Piles Playa (pronounced Peeles), a true Spanish resort, much favoured by the peoples of Madrid (Madrilenians) yet untouched by mass tourism.
With a climate designated as ‘The World’s Healthiest Climate by The World Health Organisation and with over 300 days of sunshine annually this truly will be a ‘Spanish Experience’, that will have you coming back for more. We promise!


The Apartment
The recently built apartment has 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sitting room with sofa beds. And a fully fitted kitchen.
The balcony overlooks the beach and the ‘Blue’ Mediterranean Sea. There is also a roof terrace.
You will have the use of the large communal pool – solely for residents. There are well kept gardens, bedecked with palm trees, which are lit at night to give a romantic atmosphere. Entry is by security gates operated by key or intercom making the area completely private and safe.
You will have a good choice of shops plus a small supermarket to make your stay simple and easy giving you more time to enjoy and explore the area. We can recommend the mouth watering Empanadilles (small pasties filled with either spinach or tomato and egg) from the local baker (Panadaria)
There is a good choice of restaurants within easy walking distances some accessible by an enjoyable stroll along the beach!
You will find the sandy beach is beautifully clean, safe and the warm gentle sea ideal for bathing for children and adults alike.
The whole area is a Mecca for sports. You can try your hand at all types of water sports from swimming, sail boarding, surfing, jet skiing, fishing etc. etc. There are 2 championship golf courses nearby, one designed by Seve Ballosteros, several tennis clubs, sailing clubs, go karting, cycling, riding, the list is endless, really.
Less than 1 hour away is on of Spain’s most popular theme parks Terra Mitica, similar to a Disney Park. There are alternatives such as Safari Parks and Water Parks all conveniently placed for you and all easily accessed by the A7 or N332.
You could choose to visit adjacent resorts where again you will find Blue Flag beaches and a choice of bars and restaurants all within short distances.
There are many fiestas held throughout the area and with 32 towns and villages within the Gandia/Oliva region you can always be sure to find a fiesta or two at any given time of the year.


Locality
There is a choice of many large supermarkets catering for the most discerning and with fish counters you won’t believe.
Eating out is most reasonable with lunch costing 7-10 euros per person on The Menu Of The Day (Menu del Dia) and say 10-15 euros per person for an evening meal.
Wine is for nothing and is often the same price as bottled water and produced locally. Why not include a visit to a Bodega (Wine Cellar) in your intinery?
The world famous Tapas (delicious small snacks) often a good alternative for lunch, and available in most bars but mostly eaten in the early evening with a coffee or aperitif. Spanish life revolves around bars!
The region is renown throughout the world for Paella which is a savoury rice dish garnished with meat, fish, seafood or vegetables. You must not leave without sampling this unique dish made here in it’s place of origin.
We will recommend to you a choice of restaurants.
The region is Spain’s major producer of citrus fruits where oranges predominate. The area is full of orange groves, an evergreen, creating a lushness of green all year round.

The road net work is good with the main motorway within easy access for journeys either north or south.
The regional capital, Valencia, with its historic parts and now with a incredible marine and science centre is approx. 1 hour away has recently selected as the next venue for The America’s Cup one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.
Inland from the coast within just a short drive you will be amongst the mountains and valleys, passing through small towns and villages that time seems to have forgotten.

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
