This apartment is in a perfect location - just up the hill from the old town (the stairs will keep you fit) which means you enjoy incredible views of the water and old town from the terrace. It is in a quiet spot and also just up the hill from the beach. It has a kitchenette and a supermarket close by so you can get basic supplies inc alcohol to keep in the apartment and enjoy a wine or beer on the terrace. The place was clean and comfortable and I would recommend it as a good base from which to explore Dubrovnik. My only complaint would be about the check in procedure/pre-booking process. It wouldnt hurt the owner to email guests before arrival confirming the apartment address and instructions for check in. Our taxi dro pped us at the correct address and we rang the bell of No 28 - the first property as you walk down the stairs and there was no answer. A local lady happened to walk down the stairs and I asked her if she knew where Lisa was (thats who I was told would be checking us in) and she told me to go down the stairs and ring the bell at No 26. I did this and Lisa answered and then took us across the pathway to Number 28 (different to the apartment at the top of the stairs) and it had a sign on the door saying please call Lisa (with phone number) to check in. We did not have a phone so we would not have been able to do this. Luckily we ran into the lady who told us Lisa lived at No 26. Considering the apartment is across the way, it wouldnt hurt them to have a sign at the top directing people down the stairs and informing them that you can also ring the bell for No 26 to check in if you dont have a phone. Apart from that, the actual stay was fine.
