A Super Vila. We had no problems finding the Villa, the directions provided were spot on. The Villa was more spacious than we imagined and was well equiped and very comfortable. The photograhs did not do it justice. The pool was great, being a salt water pool it did not have the normal chlorine kick nor did it have a salt taste. Our grandaughters thought it was super and spent most of the day in the pool.
The outside area, in particular the large marble table, proved to be the focal point for alfresco snacks and meals.
In short we had agreat time and enjoyed our holiday at the Villa

A little concerned about water quality coming into the villa and pool water otherwise lovely.

THe Villa is very niceand well presented. However the direction to the Villa especially "you are here picture" is totally misleading. Why are you not advised to turn left onto the badly surfaced lane. Alsothe name on the Villa wall is not viewable from a car. Because the picture also shows the gateway into th next door neighbour, we called into them to ask for help.
The bed clothes while washed, were not ironed and crisp.
Finally the Villa description states that there is bith sat and cable tv. This is a misrepresenation of the truth, as there is no sat tv receiver or dish, the tv is an old analogue type and the dvd is not working. Overall opinion disapointing.

This property is fab, within walking distance to bars and resturants, and only 5euro in a taxi to the nearest town Caverio, which is bustling with bars, shops and good resturants. The villa manager and owner were really helpful and on hand 24/7. The villa is well equipped with everything that you could possibly need, the children spent hours in the pool, and the top terrace is lovely in the evenings.

An absolutely beautiful villa - the photos on here do not do it justice. Spacious, clean and equipped with everything we could have needed - the welcome pack was an especially nice touch! Close enough to shops/restaurants/beach (and Slide and Splash if you are that way inclined). This was extremely good value for money, although I would encourage car rental if you are considering staying here. Overall, an excellent villa and a great holiday to remember - highly recommended.

This property is fantastic and far better than the photos. The large granite outdoor table and benches are a great to enjoy the evening bar-b-ques around. The kitchen has more than enough equipment and all in great condition. The dining room and lounge areas, although we did not spend hardly any time in are well furnished and comfortable, with plenty of books, Dvds and music, which can be enjoyed through speakers outside. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of wardrobe space with extra bedding. The 2 bedrooms with airconditioning are brilliant but as we had very good weather the 2 without were too hot and although a portable one was available the need to have the vent through the window was not very good.
The pool area was fantastic and the salt water pool with its non slip surface a welcome treat in the hot weather. Everthing and more being provided for an enjoyable stay with our family of grown ups. Steve the property manager and Jackie the cleaner were very friendly and helpful.
We hope to go back and will certainly recommend to our friends.

The Villa is excellent for its facilities, location, cleanliness and relaxation. The swimming pool is of great design and is a welcoming feature in the July heat as is the air conditioning. Well be back again (and again)!

Excellent location far from the crowds but near enough to local amenities.
Given opportunity definitely will go back

We had a tremendous time for our first holiday in Portugal. The villa had everything we needed and was perfect for sharing with friends. The salt water pool was fantastic, and the location superb for access to some of the best local beaches. The villa was very clean and well kept. Many evening BBQs and breakfasts were enjoyed on the patio.
What impressed us most were the beaches there near Carvoeiro. We rated Praia Marinha as probably the best that we had seen during our stay. We visited about 10 local beaches to come to that conclusion. We also investigated some of the beaches (near Lagos and Portimao) highly rated by tour guidebooks. Nothing matched the quality and features of the local beaches around Carvoeiro. The beach at Odeceixe has to get special mention, worth a trip up the west coast less than 90 minutes away.
I have an autoimmune reaction towards chlorine that prevents me from swimming in chlorinated pools, so the saltwater pool was very welcome. I have to add that with kids, the pool offers flexibility as you are not pressured to head to the beach in extreme heat.
We had a memorable vacation and one we hope to do again with friends.

We had a lovely stay at Avagarosa during our first visit to Portugal in May. We found the villa spacious and very well equipped with everyday items and we felt truly at home in it. For our arrival we were left a lovely welcome pack of the essentials like bread & milk which also included some luxury extras too. The villa was kept clean and fresh by the maid who visited 3 times a week, hardly knowing she was there apart from her tunefully humming as she worked. The garden area is delightful and we loved sitting out in the sun with a good selec tion of furniture to choose from. Unfortunately the condition of the pool was a slight disappointment as it was coated in green algae which the poolman still didnt sort out even after he was contacted about it. The pool water was too cold at that time of year so we didnt use it much anyway. Half of the pool is really only suitable as a childrens paddling/play area so any swimming is out of the question and is really just a plunge pool...a little disappointing as I had been looking forward to getting some daily exercise in there.
Overall we were not disappointed in this lovely villa even if the sea view description is stretching the truth just a little.
Thank you Paul and Julia for a lovely, homely base for a wonderful holiday.

We stayed at avagarosa in September 2008 and found the property to be clean and very well maintained. Everything you need is provided and the welcome pack was a very pleasant surprise. I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone and hope to return soon.

We found the villa exceptionally clean and spacious, and yet it retained a homely feel. The maid and gardening services were carried out unobtrusively and there was a great welcome pack left for us on our arrival.
I would thoroughly recommend this villa to friends.

We were very taken with the villa and the local area and echo the comments of David & Ruth Martin. We are likely to visit the villa again, next time with some friends - as the villa is certainly large enough to accommodate two more couples and each couple with a bathroom......great!

We had a lovely time at your wonderful villa. The weather was very changeable being late October/early November but the huge terrace was fantastic for catching the afternoon sun and the lovely patio & gardens were wonderful to sit out in the mornings - both are really well positioned to make the best of the sun. The villa itself is so spacious and beautifully fitted and it was an added bonus to discover games in the lounge display cabinet that we could play with our son to keep him entertained when we wanted to relax! Loads of restaurants in what is probably the nicest area of the Algarve - we were delighted with both the villa and the location of it and will be most happy to recommend it to our friends. Many thanks again.
