The apartment made for an absolutely lovely holiday, the property was very clean and very spacious with everything supplied. The satellite TV was an added bonus.
The pool and surrounding area was very clean and definitely a highlight of the holiday, the fact that it is only shared by 9 other apartments meant I often had the pool to myself!
The local beach (5min drive) is one of the most amazing and beautiful I have ever seen and a visit is an absolute must!!
Lagos itself is a wonderful town, full of old cobbled streets with some amazing restaurants and bars
I would strongly suggest renting a car as the local amenities are a little too far to get to by foot.

A clean, modern apartment with compact, green grounds and swimming pool. Before arrival the owner of the apartment was very helpful in providing maps and answering my questions.
On arrival we were greeted by a few essentials in the fridge - water, bread, tea, milk, and so on - which was well received as nearby shops were shut when we arrived, being a Sunday.
The apartment is well equipped - TV, CD player, full kitchen with all the crockery, pots, pans and cutlery youd expect. The balcony, where we spent most of our time when not out and about the balcony is a great sun trap and a pleasant to while away the hours or take breakfast.
Its located in a quiet spot, close enough to walk into the old town of Lagos, but far enough away to avoid the noise and crowds of the town.
The location is also ideal to explore the surfing beaches of the Algarve (our primary reason for visiting). Theres a beach that gets surf within walking distance, and many of the beaches of the west coast (where most of the surf is) are within 30-40 mins drive.
Would definitely visit again!

Hi Andy
A somewhat belated thank you, but nevertheless here it is!
We had an absolutely fab week, the apartment was great.
Ideal spot and just nice with only the 10 apartments, many times we had the pool to ourselves.
We loved the bay just across the wasteland and also we went to many of the lovely restaurants which your previous guests had recommended in the comments book.
Many thanks, I would imagine we'll be in touch to book it again at some point in the future as I'd definitely like to go back.
Kind regards
Pat

Lovely apartment, with great facilities, close to some great beaches. Just far enough out of town to be away from the hustle and bustle, would recommend and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The Farol Apartment made an ideal base for a low key, low stress family holiday. The apartment itself was roomy and well furnished. The balcony above the pool was well used for breakfast and for evening drinks. The children loved the pool which we shared with the other apartments. The nearest beach below the Camilo restaurant was reached via nearly 200 steps its a lovely cove but be prepared! Our favourite beach was the Porto de Mos just a couple of steps and then a wide safe sandy beach. Eating out was a pleasure with the Amigo Camilo and Parisio Restaurants all within walking distance. The fish dishes served must not be missed.
We ventured out to the town of Lagos and ambled around the walled Town area with its warren of small lanes visiting the church museum and old fort. Also we made our way up to the highest point in the Algarve at Foia above Monchique.
Perhaps though what started the holiday off on the right foot was a hiccup on the first morning. We had a problem (due to me not reading our information) and Andy answered his phone promptly and put us right, we also received a call to ensure everything was all OK. This gave us all the reasurance that we would have help if it was needed, of course we didnt need any but it began perhaps the best holiday the family have been on thank you Andy.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in the above apartment.
The apartment consists of a double bedroom, and lounge/dining room, twin bedroom, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with over bath shower and bidet .
The apartment has everything you would need for a trouble free holiday. Washing machine and drying line with iron etc are in the apartment, so you can travel lighter ,also things like hairdryer and radio were welcome touches. All towels are changed mid week and bedding at weekends .The welcome pack with tea, coffee, bread, biscuits, milk and cheese was a nice touch as were the fresh flowers and pot plants. REMEMBER to water please!!!
Several good size supermarkets are a few minutes drive away if you really have to cook!!
There is a balcony that runs along the full length of the main bedroom and lounge area, both of which overlook the well maintained pool and garden, perfect for breakfasting and late night wine!!!
When we were there in April the pool being unheated was not for” wimpy” me but the temperature was just starting to climb so would be warmer now. (Even so it did not stop the children making good use of it!!)
The apartment is in a small unit comprising 10 apartments in total and is situated in a quiet residential part of Lagos, only 10 minutes amble along a quiet footpath to the lovely sheltered beach; this part of Portugal is gorgeous with stunning views of the craggy coastline, where every corner has another secluded sandy beach and inlet. Driving along the coast westerly you can still find largely unspoilt fishing villages and whilst eating lunch one day we spotted some dolphins, magical!! .Lagos town is charming with its old town wall and windy streets. Lots of eating places in the town and nice shops for browsing.
Although gradually becoming more developed the area is perfect for couples seeking peace and quiet but also ideal for young families as the beaches are very safe.
Along the afore-mentioned foot path if you turn left across the meadow and cross the road you will arrive at the bar restaurant Camilo .We ate there nearly the whole week ,food is freshly cooked and simply prepared by the extended family who run it .Fresh fish is a speciality and varies on what was available in the market that morning .Things like the Cataplana and seafood rice need 24 hours notice but are well worth it .It gets very busy and booking would be strongly recommended ,the views are gorgeous and the puddings to die for!!
All in all a fabulous place to have a holiday…Highly recommended.
