Gorgeous apartment - would definitely stay there again. Marly and Pete were extremely helpful and friendly, the apartment was kept immaculate with Marly popping in virtually every day to clean. We had the pool to ourselves for 2 weeks which was great and the kids were never out of it! The local bar and supermarket are only 5-10 minutes walk and the beach and other shops about 20 minutes walk so very convenient but at the same time quiet where the villa is.

Our time at Villa deusa do mar was great, the appartment was exactly as we expected from the web site, and when we arrived(early) Marly welcomed us in. She had already put some beer, wine and basic food for us, which went down really well after a journey with a 4 year old. The pool was great fun for our youngest daughter and a welcome respite from the 38 degree heat in the shade for the rest of us. the villa was a 10 minute wlk to the marina, where the bars and resteraunts are nice for lunch and all the sea based excursions can be booked. it is probably about a slow 20 minutes walk into the old town which we walked almost every night which is bustling and vibrant with loads of choice of resteraunts and entertainment. after an evening in the town it was nice to get some quiet in the appartment at night. the other villa was occupied when we were there and it was nice to meet other people, but you did not tread on each other toes if you did want to. We had a little trouble with our shower, but as always Marly was very attentive and it was sorted very quickly. Marly can not do enough for you, she even did some of our dirty washing!
i would recommend this property to anyone else and if returning to portugal i would not think twice of booking again.

Lovely accomodation! On arrival we were made feel immediately welcome, especially with beer, wine and food in the fridge. Only a ten minute walk from old town. Pool was lovely, accomodation clean and spacious. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

This is our second stay to this apartment so we knew what to expect ..and again we had a lovely holiday.
Marly is extremely friendly and helpful without being obtrusive.
We were lucky to share the villa with another couple in the 2nd apartment with whom we had a great time..Had a barbeque together one evening around pool with a guitar..
Hope to return yet again in the future.

Found the property very clean and well maintained. Kitchen was fully equipped and everything was in good working order. Marly made an excellent host, with an amicable friendly nature and good English. The villa was in a quiet, peaceful location, yet, the supermarket and English bar were 5 mins walk and the beach (which is large and clean) a little further. Car hire (at 180-190 euros per week) would enable more exploration of the area but if you were on a budget (like us) walking wasnt a problem and Marly arranged us a taxi back to the airport costing 25 euros (it cost us 52 euros on our arrival when we sorted a taxi ourselves),so it makes sense to ask Marly to arrange a taxi to pick you up from the airport. Overall we had a great holiday, the apartment was good and Marly made an excellent host.

Marly (owner) was absolutely wonderful. More than willing to help in any way she possibly could. What a pleasure it was to stay in such a nice, quiet area. Only short walks to the town square, shops, marina and beach, which was ideal for the children (not too much walking) the pool and gardens were always very clean and tidy. The apartment was lovely and cool and was cleaned everyday. Even though the owner was there during our stay we did not feel like we were intruding and were always made to feel very welcome.
Marly, thank you ever so much for a very pleasant and enjoyable holiday :)

The apartment was very confortable for our 3 persons. There was very well equipped and always very clean. The land-lady -Marly- is a really very nice person_and she was always ready to hlp u if we have any problems but she never was pushy. The garde is beautyful, und there is a lovely cat. There are 2 apartments in the house but are very well separated. There is not big garden around the house but the palms and mango trees are very cosy. The apartment 10 minutes walk from the Ali Supermarket and 15 minutes from the beach and the center which is not a problem because very calm and nothing disturbes the relax of the renters. But the only thing which you have pay attention: the descrieb of the location of the apartments could be more informative and the road to the house is a little bit "up and down".

I'd just like to say we had a wonderful time staying at the Vila Deusa Do Mar. Marley was great and cleaned the apartment everyday(fresh towels etc). The welcome pack was superb, usually the first item on the agenda is to find a supermarket to get some food and drink in, but with the welcome pack we could sit down relax have a bite to eat with a beer or wine when we arrived. Would recommend the place. Liked it so much we're hoping to go back again in September.

I think the webcite was misleading, it appeared that the apartment had a private pool. It does not. The pool is above the apartment, which is where the owner lives. We never used the pool as we felt that we would be intrusive. The owner was extremely nice, the apartment had all our needs but with no window in the bedroom it felt at times, claustrophobic.
Owner reply:
The pool is exclusively shared between the two apartments. The middle level, where the pool is, is not occupied and the owner never uses the pool. As shown on the website, the 1st floor apartment has a bedroom windows, however the bedroom of the groundfloor apartment is in the basement and has an opening to the lounge. Many customers like this bedroom, because it is pleasantly cool on hot summer nights.

This is a lovely apartment, ideal for couples. It is very well maintained by the owner who was very helpful and friendly.
It is set in a lovely quiet area but the beautiful clean beach and busy town centre are within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend it.

A lovely apartment which stayed cool all through the day. The apartment owner was very helpfull and welcoming.
The pool was an excellent facility which gave endless hours of pleasure.
The town and beach were a steady 15 mins walk away but worth the effort and taxi's were fairly easy to come by for the trip home after dark at around 4 euros.
Well enjoyed our stay!

This villa is lovely. It had everything we needed for our 10 day stay in the Algarve. The kitchen has all the utensils etc...needed to eat in and have BBQs and we enjoyed having a dining table to eat at. The pool is quite small but perfectly adequate for dipping in whilst sunbathing on the terrace. The supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away, and the beach/town centre about a 15/20 minute walk. There is satellite tv, but bar Sky News and BBC World News, all the channels are German, Italian or Portugese.
The owner of the villa came in regulalrly to give us new linen and to clean. She always checked we had everything we needed and was happy to help in any way she could.
We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any couple looking for a relaxing time away in the sun!
