"Great location, ideal for family holidays. Near many attractions. Side town is very nice. The beach is close, but do not hesitate to take a car to explore other beautiful beaches of Turkey!", Aurelie Mahroui, August 2012

We had a very nice holiday at your lovely house in Kümkoy. We enjoyed it very much, although the weather wasn’t as bright as last year. Nevertheless, we were very active and saw many nice and interesting things. Dave and Tyler were perfect hosts, and Julie hired a nice car for us for two days. We liked our stay in Hibiscus Villa very much. It´s a cosy, nice house near the beach. We slept very well and the three terraces were great! With the two of us we had plenty of space in your house. Anyway, we will recommend Hibiscus Cottage to our friends and family and maybe we´ll come again in the future!! Wil and Erik Beumer , October 2012

"We spent three weeks in this house which is large and well equipped. There is a jacuzzi in a very well-equipped bathroom, a terrace, a courtyard, a pleasant living/dining room (we have played many games sitting on the floor!), and a spacious kitchen which is properly equipped, with many cabinets. Fiona and her team worked quickly to deal with any problems. We enjoyed the comfort of this house and its proximity to the sea area. Migros supermarket is located in Manavgat, and the 101 neighborhood supermarket is not busy and prices are decent. It’s interesting how Turkish products are priced: 3kg of Turkish white cheese (very delicious!) cost less than 1 kg does in France. However, 1 litre of Carte D’Or ice-cream is much more expensive than in France. The ruins of the archaeological sites are accessible without constraints, and Side’s vast open spaces are without barriers giving you freedom to discover! We thank Fiona and her team for their friendliness and efficiency. " David Jacobson

We are back after a very successful and relaxing holiday in your holiday house. It all went well. We tended to go off on expeditions in the morning to early afternoon and use the beach in the late afternoon sun, when the water was remarkably warm. Many thanks for the use of the cottage and enabling us to explore the Side area with its remarkable history and historical remains.

Thank you for organising the flowers for our honeymoon stay. Hibiscus Cottage was great, practically right on the beach and your local contact was very helpful.

Hibiscus Cottage is great when there is sun thanks to large terraces... if you are unlucky with the rain like we were for a few days, the fireplace works well. The Turkish people are really nice in this area. I bought some food at 9 pm in a small shop and offered 50 TL to pay the Turkish owner of the shop had no change and suggested me coming back the day after to pay. Do not hesitate to cook yourself and prepare salads - vegetables are fantastic and very cheap, small cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, fruits, small peppers, etc…

A charming white-washed cottage in a delightful location with patio and roof terrace, only minutes from a gorgeous sandy beach where a huge array of water sports was on offer. The beautiful historic town of Side was a walkable distance along the beach, best done at sunset on the way to one of the many excellent restaurants. A perfect holiday destination!

This is such a wonderful place, and I cant wait to go back again. The cottage is so peaceful yet right by the glorious beach. All day-to-day amenities are close by, and for more excitement the buzzing town of Side is a short distance away. In addition to its superb location, its a real home from home - superbly equipped, and lovingly refurbished with beautiful decor and furnishings.

We had a brilliant time, thanks! We had a fantastic week at Hibiscus Cottage. The house is spacious and comfortable, set in a pretty lane. The beds were comfortable and there’s a nice big bathroom. There are 3 outside terraces including a table and chairs plus sun beds. The house is just 1-minute’s walk to a lovely beach which is safe for children and offers a big selec tion of water sports. I would recommend eating at the nearby beach restaurants in the evenings where there are fabulous views, friendly staff and good food. It was pretty hot, but still comfortable on the beach with the sea breeze, and nice and cool in the evenings. We loved Hibiscus Cottage and spent most days on the beach because it was so near, apart from a trip to Aqualand. The 3 of us even braved a banana boat, which was pretty hairy! It was a great holiday.

We had a GREAT time. We loved the cool house and its balconies, and its proximity to the sea which we could always just potter down to. The beach was busy enough for a bit of fun for the boys and yet still quiet. Weather was just right, comfortably warm and dry. Sea was warm enough for a dip. Wonderful first visit to Turkey which we loved, very kind and gentle people in spite of the hard bargaining at Manavgat market.

Weve just returned from a wonderful two weeks relaxing at Hibiscus cottage. The cottage is lovely and the Tekun site is very attractive with plenty of well cared for flowering shrubs and trees. All the locals friendly and helpful. Our fourteen year old loved the watersports and shopping and our four year old enjoyed the beach and making friends at the playground. There was an excellent selec tion of books - perfect holiday reading. I would recommend the Tekun beach cafe/restaurant, it has the best food, service and value as well as being two mins from the cottage.
I could go on .....

We had a marvelous time in the cottage. It was a great place to stay and Hibiscus Cottage had everything we needed. It was cool, comfortable, very quiet (at the end of Auguts/beginning of September), and very close to the beach. The beach cafe is run by a very friendly family and the food we ate there was always excellent. Side itself (easy access by dolmus), was fascinating and great fun. Spectacular ruins, good places to eat, lots to buy!

I just wanted to say what a lovely and relaxing week we had. Your manager recommended a good Hamam (Turkish Bath) which was a great experience! We enjoyed being so close to the beach - good for a swim before breakfast - and we made good use of the beach cafe. The owner was very friendly and kept bringing us tea. Local buses to Side were frequent and cheap and the ruins of ancient Side were just amazing. The house was a lovely peaceful place to go back to after a day out and very well fitted out.

We had a superb week at the well equipped house with very good beds. The roof terrace was superb when the seaview was lit by a full moon. The beach was 200m away, and you can drink very good Turkish coffee and fresh orange and other juices there very cheaply. On the beach there is a free big umbrella and chairs and the sand is clean. There is a shower between the beach and the house. A holiday to be recommended. Thank you, Fiona!

We enjoyed our holiday at your cottage very much. So close to the beach and quiet but also the shops, restaurants etc nearby. The house is very cosy and also practical. I was especially happy with the kitchen, so big and well equipped.

An ideal place from which to visit ancient sites (Perge, Side etc) and, on the way back to the house, to sunbathe and have a dip in the sea. The house is very nice and comfortable. The local people are truly adorable and add to the holiday

Hibiscus Cottage is a cosy little house only a few minutes from a beautiful beach. It is very tranquil and has plenty of spots to catch the sun on its terraces. You can see the sea from its roof terrace. It is walking distance to Side, which has a fantastic Roman site. There are plenty of amenities near by as it is close to shops and other hotels. There are frequent buses. One of the bonuses of this property is that it has an open fire, a very welcome addition on winter evenings. The cottage is snug but also has all modern amenities. There is also a great selec tion of books to read on the shelves in the sitting room!

A superb, pleasant stay from late April to early May just two steps from the sea (ideal for drinking morning coffee at the waterfront and buying fresh pomegranate juice or orange juice). The house is very nice, especially the kitchen which opens onto the terrace. There are many sites and places to visit, such as the fabulous markets (Manavgat) Getting around is easy whether by dolmus (small bus), or renting a car to go a little further. Dont miss the chimeras near Olympos and the beautiful eco protected beach. The managers welcomed and guided us well.

Just looking through my holiday photos and remembering the great time we had a Hibiscus Cottage in Side. Hibiscus Cottage is a typical Turkish white-washed cottage on a complex called Tekun - a haven amongst all the all inclusive hotels. We loved being in the more traditional accommodation and were surrounded by many Turkish people who spent a lot of their summer there. The cottage was small and compact but plenty big enough for the five of us and we loved its charm and the open-air space. The great bonus was that it was right next to the beach - a walk through its own well-kept grassed area led to its private area of beach complete with free sun loungers and shade. We couldnt have asked for anything better. We didn’t hire a car but chose instead to take advantage of the numerous trips on offer - all are good value for money and you can always negotiate a good discount. If you have teenagers we would recommend the Unimog trip and White Water Rafting but we also enjoyed a boat trip to the Manavgat Falls and market, and trips to Alanya and Antalya taking in such sights as Aspendos. A Turkish Bath is also not to be missed, preferably at the start of the holiday to build up a good tan and there are plenty of places which offer this too. There are water sports available on the beach and although these are dearer than the trips the kids loved them!! For getting around locally, just hop on the Dolmus - it can be quite a long walk to the old town of Side otherwise, which we discovered one evening!! But, a lovely holiday - we fell in love with the place and with Hibiscus Cottage and its location so if you want to get away from other tourists but in an ideal beach location then this is the place for you!!

A very nice house on a complex with private parking and caretaker. It is located close to the bathing area for the site. It’s a good starting point for visiting ancient sites nearby and enjoying the sea.

We had a great time at Hibiscus cottage. This house is very nice. It is about fifty meters from the beach and very well equipped. It’s ideal for young children. Moreover it is well situated for visiting the surrounding area: Alanya, Manavgat, the small town of Side which is nice, the archaeological site of Aspendos .... We will keep excellent memories of this week! Thank you.

Merci.
