From a tiny hamlet that dates back to 1047 ad, the views of Monte Maggio seem drawn on the horizon. The Montagnola region, just 30 minutes northwest of Siena, offers excellent mountain biking and hiking on its rugged yet welcoming terrain.
The entire hamlet consists of Casa Verde, four other stone structures and a Romanesque church. Behind Casa Verde is a garden with a private swimming pool, a furnished patio and a gazebo overlooking the ruins of an ancient tower and even San Gimignano on a clear day. The views from this hilly terrain extend beyond the trees into the surrounding countryside.
Simple rustic furnishings, tile floors and beamed ceilings adorn this home. Casa Verde is equipped with a washer, use of a shared clothes dryer, screens on all of the windows and satellite television. Guests have use of a shared dryer located in an outdoor laundry room. Firewood is included in the price. Maid service and meals are available if reserved when booking. Parking is 50 yards from the house.
