Property was lovely and clean, and the resort was really nice, the only issue was the shower hose was leaky and soaked the bathroom floor and the tap in the kitchen was quite loose. The lock on the front door was jamming at times but these are maintenance issues, overall we had a pleasant stay and would definitely go back! I will never stayin a hotel again. Thank you Tom.

Rating 5 out of 5 Fabulous stay at Toms apartment Diane & Tim Manchester UK Review Submitted: September 12, 2011 Date of Stay: August 2011 We had a fantastic holiday at Toms apartment and loved it so much we are returning next year. The location of the apartment is perfect, very close to the Chiringito and its pools, and the garden is secure and private. We had a lovely family barbecue there one evening. The complex has several pools to choose from but we haven’t yet tried them all yet! The atmosphere on the complex is very relaxed and peaceful – we all slept soundly every night. The complex is also conveniently situated, close to Estepona - a 10 euro taxi ride takes you into the port and its many bars and restaurants. Diane & Tim & family (August 2011) Recommended for: Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children Owners Response: Im delighted that Diane, Tim and their family had such a great holiday and loved the apartment and the Albayt Resort complex so much. Indeed, true to their word they have already booked to return in the summer of 2012. It is always very pleasing to see guests returning and gives me great satisfaction and encouragement to know that the service provided is appreciated so much. Did you find this review helpful? Yes No Rating 5 out of 5 Albayt Resort apartment in Estepona - August 2011 Sherrie Montreal, Quebec CANADA Review Submitted: September 3, 2011 Date of Stay: August 2011 The apartment we rented for 8 nights in August 2011 was very clean and well maintained. On arrival we noticed a few burnt out bulbs and a very loose kitchen faucet which were all resolved within the day that we notified Tom. The resort grounds and swimming pools are also very clean and there is an added bonus of having a tapas resto-bar (Akuas) right alongside the pool to satisfy your hunger or thirst after a busy day sightseeing or just hanging out at the local beaches or the pool. For those thinking of doing laundry and hanging their clothes to dry, we discovered that putting the clothes rack in the yard did not get the clothes dry very fast due to the humidity in the air. In fact we discovered that by bringing the rack back into the little utility area where the mops, etc are, the clothes dried in no time due to the hot air being blown out by the thermopump unit + they are protected in case there is ever any rain ! I can recommend that perhaps the mattresses and pillows be changed for some that are more comfortable. The existing ones are okay but are not for those accustomed to a softer mattress with fluffier pillows. I think something which would be very convenient for potential renters would be if along with the usual bath towels there were one or two beach towels supplied. We travelled from Canada and were not about to load our luggage with beach towels and found this to be strange considering the apartment is part of a resort complex. La Casona restaurant down the street from the apartment has a great terrace and great food and is all reasonably priced. Also there are many great restaurants near the Duquesa marina and the atmosphere on any given summers night is quite lively. Many other good restaurants also in Estepona town itself. Mercadona is a mid-sized grocery store with fresh fruits and veggies and everything else you could need during your stay and is also only a stones throw on the main road from the apartment. Del Cristo beach was very heavily populated especially with families but the water is fairly safe. We preferred Duquesa beach with nice waves. Overall, we were very pleased with the apartment, the cleanliness and the quality of the service and helpfulness of the owner, Tom. On subsequent return vacations to Spain in the same area, we would definitely consider renting it again. For those with a vehicle, it makes for a great home base to do day trips to Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, Jerez, Gibraltar, etc. Recommended for: Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children Owners Response: I very much appreciate this very positive review from Sherrie and am delighted to read that she was very pleased with the apartment and "wolud definately consider renting it again". Im very pleased also with Sherries Excellent (5 Star) overall rating which speaks for itself. I have noted and value Sherries helpful suggestions and recommendations about the bed mattresses/ pillows and the provision of beach towels as a useful option for guests. In response to her feedback, all future guests will be given the option of stating their preferences in relation to the provision of beach towels and the type of mattresss and pillows they would prefer. Costumer service and responding promptly to suggestions on how to improve the holiday experience of my guests are the cornerstones of my business. Tom. Owner Submitted Review “Lovely apartment - superb value for money!” Review Submitted: August 15, 2011 Date of Stay: June 2011 Toms instructions for finding the apartment were spot on and we were pleasantly surprised to find the interior living area quite a bit bigger than I had expected based on the photos. Everything was spotless and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. We found the beds comfortable with masses of storage in the bedrooms. The garden was a lovely bonus and we used the sunbeds in them on a daily basis. The pool was metres away from the apartment and was lovely. Pity the poolside bar wasnt open when we were there! You cant easily walk to the beach due to the busy coast road and the beach is a bit stoney there too, however we drove to two different beaches in Estepona about 5-10 minutes drive away which were lovely. The Sunday market in Estepona is worth a visit. Tom always responded instantly whenever I texted him which was very reasuring when we needed his help. I would definately go again! Rating 5 out of 5 HOLIDAY APARTMENT Karrie Southampton Review Submitted: November 29, 2010 Date of Stay: October 2010 We had a wonderful time in this holiday apartment. A lovely complex set in a lovely area. Easy short drive to Estepona with shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was very clean with everything you could need. It was ideally situated next to the split level pool and my husband, myself and two teenage children loved it there. It was a home from home and very comfortable for a family of 4. The large supermarket a two minute drive away was really handy for general groceries with gorgeous and very cheap seafood if you feel like a relaxing night in at the apartment. We had an evening in nearby Puerto Banus and went shopping in Marbella which was great. Old Marbella was lovely for a stroll and lunch in Orange Square. We also ate on Estepona Marina in the chinese which was excellent but our best meals were the road back from the main road of Estepona where the local restaurants were very reasonably priced. I found Tom (the owner) particularly helpful before our stay always happy to give good advise on the apartment and area. We would not hesitate to stay there again and would recommend our british winter months as we were there late October and the weather was beautiful but the resort and Spain in general was so peaceful and not the usual crowds of the summer months. Whilst there we visited Ronda, Mijas and Caserras which are all beautiful and unspoilt spanish villages. Mijas is the most touristy and good for an evening. The Sunday morning market at Estepona Marina was lively with lots of nice very reasonable jewellery, clothes, etc. Laguna Beach was a lovely place to visit with its stunning location and views, lovely restaurants, designer shops. Alternatively, if you just fancy a coffee laid on a sun lounger or comfy sofas with incredible sea views, its worth a visit. All in all we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to s

Lovely apartment, but it is a little remote, you really need a car if you are staying here. Quite a few steep inclines round and about the complex. A little disappointed with the main reception and bar/restaurant as they closed at 9pm in the week & 8pm at the weekends so you couldnt actually order a meal past 5pm. Fortunately there was an excellent restaurant at the bottom of the hill on the main road. Although the reception staff were friendly, when we posed any queries with them about the apartment we were told we needed to contact the owner directly. The property is only a few minutes drive away from Sabinillas and La Duquesa port, we beach walked to the port several times. It was also near enough to journey to Gibraltar on the local bus, provided you timed it right, as the buses going west from Estepona were approximately every 90 minutes. Local beaches were good, but again, no facilities or coffee shops until you had walked a fair way, but nowhere was open (until we got to Sabinillas) as we went so early in the year. We will visit again as we are house hunting in the area, but we will hire a car next time!

Fantastic Family Holiday in Albayt Resort Estepona
Satman Collon, Co. Louth, Ireland
Review Submitted: August 31, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010
The apartment was excellent - even though we spent very little time there, it was a great base for our various excursions to Benalmedina, Gibraltar, Ronda & Estepona. Our in-laws were just down
the road behind the Bahia Dorada complex for our first week in their own villa, so much of our time was spent there.

The information provided by Tom (the owner) was excellent & went a long way towards making our stay a very pleasant one. We had very few dealings with the staff of the resort, but they were generally excellent - the English guy on reception in particular.

There were a few minor niggles during our stay (e.g. the kettle blew a fuse and had to be replaced) but Tom was in constant contact with us by 'phone and e-mail to ensure that any issues were quickly resolved to our complete satisfaction.

Tom was also very proactive in seeking feedback from us after we returned home to see if we had any suggestions as to how the holiday experience we had could be improved.

All in all the Tom deserves credit for making all stages of the holiday go so smoothly. We would have no hesitation in returning to the apartment and would recommend it to our friends and relatives.

Great location, quiet resort for Easter break
Review Submitted: April 14, 2010 Date of Stay: April 2010
Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay at this spacious apartment. The garden areas were well kept and the resort at Easter was blissfully quiet. We enjoyed Selwo - the animals are, mainly, in safari type conditions and are visited on foot or via jeeps - a great experience. Although pricey, if you buy a 3 ticket option ( for selwo animals park, selwo marina and the cable cars to the birds of prey) it works out at around 11 euros each for each attraction - and selwo is a day in itself! Cable car takes 15 mins to the birds of prey ( in Benalmadena, as is the Selwo marina) and is not for those with a fear of heights!

Didn't have time for the beaches! Loved Mijas and Nerja caves ( the best we have been into!). OK, Nerja is 2 hours away by car, but on fast, good roads a great day out, esp as you can stop on your return to walk the castle at Fuengirola and shop at the many malls!

Gibralter is great for tax free shopping ( fill up with fuel there - 84p a litre!) and the apes are amusing and cheeky!

Great shopping, also, at La Canda Mall and great pizza and meatballs at La Laguna mall on the beach in Estepona You pass it on the A7 and it is 10 mins from the apartment.

Having a garage for our car was a bonus and wifi acces at the hotel reception. Free sat tv good, too, for the odd dull day.

There was adequate comfy seating in the apartment and the large kitchen area was equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher, microwave and large fridge/freezer. Mercadona supermarket, good and in expensive, was 5 mins drive away, Estepona direction.

We drove down, and so visited the wolf park in the mountains near Ronda. Great drive with breathtaking scenery and some of the greenest fields i have ever seen.
All in all, a good holiday. Many thanks, Tom, for all your help.

Very nice apartment.

The apartment itself was really great. The view at the mountain in the north also.
The beaches in Estepona are really nice!
Salwo-Adventure isn't worth going there, due to the fact that it's extremely expensive and the animals don't live in good conditions, we were really sorry about them.
Gibraltar was very pleasant, also Malaga!
