We spent a month at Casares in February/March and enjoyed every minute of it, the apartment was perfect with all the comforts of home. It is exceptionally clean and well equipped, being away from town it is very peaceful and quiet. It is an easy ten minute walk to the beach and the nearest bar although you do have to cross the main road which is easily done by the excellent footbridge. The nearest town is a good 30 minute walk along the beach. I would recommend staying here although the out of town location could put some people off, a car is a must.

Hello Marilyn and Ray,
We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the apartment and our holiday. We had warm sun every day and got the know the region very well. The playground was very convenient, as was the beach, promenade and the small port at Duquesa, that we walked or ran to many times. We visited Ronda, Gibraltar, Malaga and the sights along the coast, and had a few walks in the hills inland. The caves at Pileta were fascinating and the crocodile park in Torremolinos especially good.
Michel was very helpful, greeting us and providing answers to queries very promptly. Please convey our thanks to him.

After leaving the heat and the tricky one way system of Serville, we enjoyed the peace and tranquility of your apartment for eight days.
Aside from one cloudy morning, we had unbroken sunshine throughout our stay. Your apartment is lovely with all the facilities we needed. Enjoyed the terrace and the pool.
Saw all the local towns resorts etc. Casares was fantastic. Went window shopping by the marina at Puerto Banus, sadly the budget did not stretch to Versace or Jimmy Choo. However did lag a couple of bargains at the local market yesterday. Ate in (mostly seafood) and out (mostly seafood). Incidentally the restaurant at Carrefour as you leave Estepona going east, serves excellent tapas at a reasonable price.
Off now for a couple of days at Malaga before returning home.

We have had a lovely time in beautiful surroundings. The weather has been excellent, the apartment and grounds are a haven of tranquility.
Fantastic views and rriendly people to chat to every day (English and Spanish attempts).
Exciting trips to all your local suggestions, Casares Village, Estepona, Sabinillas and Duquesa.
We also visited Albayt country club, Volvo golf hote, Puerto Banus, Casares Golf. Lots of meals out and a few in the lovely kitchen at your apartment. How wonderful to have a green Spain so far south.- Josie and Jim

I found it met our needs perfectly, the apartment was furnished very well.
It contained everything we required to have an excellent holiday.
The pool was nice and never busy.
The apartment is in a great location close to so many interesting places to visit.
Had very nice holiday and would have no hesitation in booking it again.

Hi Ray nd Marilyn,
Just a short e-mail to let you know that we have now returned to the UK after our
holiday in Casares Real. We had a bit of journey down to find the property as there
was a storm and it was difficult to see out of the windscreen let alone read the
signes. However, we got there in the end thanks to the help of Dot and her Husband.
Apparently it was the worst rainfall for several years. When we drove up to Rhonda
during the week, the roads were covered in mudslides and broken tarmac. It was a good experience and tested our driving. What a wonderful place Rhonda is.
WE had a truly fantastic time at your appartment. Just the peace and quiet we werelooking for and during the week the weather improved so we just chilled out. We hope to return at some later date. Loved the paintings and could tell that the owners had a great eye for colour and balance. A wonderful appartment and very well equipped and set out. (we have a passion for 'projects'. We have just finished a small buildinghere in Cornwall and quite like the look of the derelict house opposite (the two storey
one), may do some research to see what is possible)!!!! We are both 67 this year andour children think we are quite mad!!!!
Thank you again, Kind regads, Tony and Sue March 10ᆦ

Thank you very much for letting us stay in your lovely aoartment. We have had a fab holiday and have visited Duquesa, Gibralter, Ronda, Estepona, Malaga, Tarifa, Benalmadina, Puerto Banus and the beautiful town of Casares and the last place was Sotogrande. We went to the zoo and rode on a camel which was very wobbly. Last week we saw pilot whales, bottle nosed dolphins and a striped dolphin and then back for a dip in the very refreshing pool. Love Olivia, William, Juliet and Crispin Tomlinson. tip: local golf club up the road offer a discount if you say you are from Majestic apartment blocks.

At the end of a great 2 weeks again. Apartment and pool even better than we remember and we've had an even better holiday than last year. An immaculately presented first floor 2 bed apartment with air conditioning. Well appointed with quality furnshings, secure underground parking and a shared pool.
Only a couple of minutes drive to the main A7 coast road and local beach.
Good views from the balcony of the surrounding countryside.
Highly recommended.

This is just a short note to thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful apartment. I would like to apologize for all the inconvenience we caused with our delayed and shambolic arrival.
I would like to compliment you on how beautifully you have decorated the apartment. I was very impressed by the Indian cushions everywhere, the chandeliers, the mirrors, the lovely little coloured "ice cubes" you have in so many receptacles and Rays very evocative watercolours. Obviously an awful lot of love and affection has gone into designing and decorating the flat. All the little extras such as lots of big fluffy white towels, the good quality bed linen, the body lotions and bubble bath, hairdrier and the very well and tastefully equipped kitchen just added to our enjoyment.
We managed to visit a lot of places while we were there, Sevilla, Jerez de La Frontera where we saw some beautiful horsemanship in the Escuela Real de Arte Ecuestre and visited the sherry bodegas. We visited Gibraltar, Casares (which was the higlight of the trip for me as it evoked so beautifully the real Andalusia) Gaucin, Ronda, the Alcazaba in Malaga and the wonderful Picasso mueseum. We even managed to get up to Granada to visit the Alhambra and the Real life. We hadnt been for 20 years and although it was the middle of winter this time, the place never ceases to amaze us with its amazing architecture. Tarifa with its wonderfully wide and unspoilt coast line is a place I would like to visit again and the old part of the city is very Moorish and attractive. All in all we spent an amazing 9 days in Andalusia and it was lovely coming back to a cosy and welcoming apartment at the end of each day. Thank you so much.

Hello there! We're back in rainy Ireland after a month in sunny Spain & I'm dying to go back already. We had such an amazing time at Marilyn's & Ray's apartment. The weather was perfect. The accommodation was spotless & the gardens were manicured. The apartment really was like home away from home.
I found the owners to be exceedingly helpful before, during & after our stay. Likewise, Sue & Paul were really kind & obliging during our stay.
The apartment itself is beautifully furnished & very comfortable. The balcony, which overlooks the pool, gardens & the Med. in the distance, was fantastic for basking in the sun during the day or relaxing in the evening. We have a baby girl & Marilyn arranged for a new highchair & a cot for her, which was also really great.
Given that I speak Spanish, it was lovely to mix with both the Spaniards & the other nationalities around the pool, which was only busy after siesta time at weekends. The kiddies' pool was great fun & we all had a fantastic holiday. It was very good value for money & I have already recommended it to both family & friends.
I would recommend renting a car for the duration of the stay as it's so handy to be able to pop down to the local supermarkets Mercadona & Lidl, which are just a few minutes' drive away. For golf enthusiasts it really is a great location as there are plenty of courses to try out.
It was such a relief when we arrived to find that the description on the website was accurate & the place was even nicer than in the photos. The whole experience really exceeded our expectations. I'm only sorry that we didn't stay on for longer, but we will definitely be back!

My friend and I had a fantastic holiday staying at this fabulous apartment.
The owners were really helpful with the arrangements for the keys and giving us directions. The apartment itself is finished beautifully and provided with everything youd ever think of needing whilst on holiday.
The pool is a great size, well maintain and in a lovely garden setting. Being a shared pool with the other apartments was not a problem at all as it only really got busy around 4pm and the people were really friendly.
It was useful having the beach, a restaurant/bar and garage/shop within walking distance and pleanty of supermarkets to choose from.
Would definately consider a return visit!

We had a fantastic holiday! The weather was hot but there was a breeze off the sea which kept temperatures down a bit! You have a lovely apartment and we thoroughly enjoyed staying there.
Thanks for your directions we got to Casares without a hitch although finding Real Villas was a bit tricky at night (3am - the flight was delayed), no problem spotting where to go in the day!
Thank you so much again

Had a lovely time both within the apartment itself and exploring the local area. The apartment was exceptionally well furnished and equipped, with all the home comforts you'd expect. The air con works wonders in the late afternoon/early evening when the flat has warmed up a bit, but we didn't need to use it too intensively, which makes me feel marginally less guilty for flying out there!
Although the apartment itself is in a relatively sparsely populated area (don't get me wrong, nowhere on the coast is /that/ sparse), it's there's plenty to do, particularly if you have little ones. We visited Gibraltar (monkeys and dolphins are apparently a three year old girl's best friend), Estepona, Puerto Banus (pretending we could afford to live there), Marbella (ditto), Benalmadina, Casares and Mijas. We'd have probably ventured a little further to Seville and/or Granada had our little bundle of joy been a little less little.
We swam in the pool every day, and found it to be well maintained, and clean. A very nice thing to do before settling down for the evening.
The only downsides to the apartment are that the area immediately surrounding the urbanisation within which the apartment resides is unfinished, and the allocated parking space is in an underground car-park that is a little difficult to negotiate. Reverse into the space/park on the road or there'll be trouble.
These minor quibbles really are nit-picking though. We had a brilliant time, and would seriously consider going back, which is high praise indeed since I wouldn't normally return to the same resort more than once, let alone the same property. If you decide to dive in, then enjoy...

What a fantastic holiday in a lovely apartment. The apartment is light, airy, clean and comfortable. Everything was thought of to ensure that it was like a 'home from home'. We stayed in the Costa del Sol last year (San Pedro de Alcantara), but I preferred Casares Real as all you can see from the apartment is open countryside and a small beach resort, hence you feel as if you away from the general building work of the Costa del Sol. The apartment is a 15-20 minutes walk down to a lovely beach, but as it was so hot, we would drive down and walk along the beach to Sabinillas. A car is necessary as there are no supermarkets within walking distance, but that was not a problem for us. We ate out at restaurants in Puerto Duquesa, Estepona (twice), Puerto Banus and Benahavis. We have a 5 year old son and had days/nights out at Selwo Zoo, Tivoli World and a number of beaches in the area. Even though we did seem to do a lot, we managed to relax in the apartment and pool quite a lot too. This end of the Costa del Sol is very Spanish and it was lovely to be able to get insight into their way of life and culture. We particularly enjoyed a Sunday night out in Estepona; we had a meal and then walked along the promenade where there were street entertainers and arts/craft stalls. It was a very happy and relaxed atmosphere and our son loved the street entertainers. I couldn't imagine many families in England doing this sort of thing on a Sunday night, particularly as we don't have the same weather. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday in an excellent apartment and didn't want to come home.

The appartment itself was lovely inside, with a fantastic terrace, which we ate out on most nights. The decor was great too, and just what was expected after viewing the photos. The pool area was also lovely, very clean and set in beautiful gardens, however no sunloungers!
We spent most days on the local beaches, which were also clean and had many nice places to eat.
We hired a car for the duration of our stay, and I would certainly recommend it to get the most out of the area, as there are some great places to visit, and beaches that are not within walking distance ( The Zoo is a must, its such a beautiful place with spectacular views!) also various places to eat that again you could not walk to.
Overall we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the holiday and enjoyed staying in such a lovely appartment with wonderful views. Will definitely return.

We have just spent a lovely week at the apartment. It had everything you needed - home from home. The apartment itself, the grounds and pool area were spotlessly clean. We went to Gibraltar, Marbella, Peurto Banus, Casares and Mijas. The coastline was lovely and all food and drink were excellent.
It was a shame we had only booked a week. We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing break away. The views from the balcony were lovely and it was so quiet and peaceful.

The apartment fulfilled all our expectations and more with some nice extra touches-brochures of local sights; DVds, Cds and games for rainy days and homely decor etc. The gardens were nicely landscaped and the pool was clean (if a little cold in October!) The surrounding area is still being developed with dust around but no heavy building noise or traffic, but this did not really detract from our enjoyment of the trip and the views from the terrace were good. By next spring/summer the construction of adjacent sites will not really be an issue and the area will look lovely.
Helpful agents - didn't need to trouble them after the initial meeting. Easy drive to local facilities. Very good value for money and would recommend it.

Lovely apartment to return to each evening as we "chilled out" on the sunny balcony. Blessed with glorious weather all week. Casares abnd Gaucin wonderful villages to visit. Gaucin in particular provided spectacular views and Casares had a charming ambience. Pretty port of Duquesa and the convenience of shops at Sabinellas all added to the experience. Ronda was delightful, well recommended. Can't wait to find some hillside walks next time we return.

Have had a superb holiday. Been here 14 days and don't want to go! We have been so thrilled with the apartment, the pictures on the internet didn't do it justice. We loved the pools and the gardens and have made some fantastic friends and met some lovely people. There are a few different beaches we visited but our firm favourite being a small one on the outskirts of Estepona (Casares side), Selwo Zoo was a good day out as was Marbella especially Orange Square, amazing place. Good weather was of course a bonus but the whole package made it the best family holiday ever. Really sad to leav e go a feeling we'll be back!

All beaches were lovely especially Estapona (Malaga side and Puerto Duquesa). Gorgeous Creperie just 20 minutes walk along beach.

The property provided good accommodation and facilities, however access to the property was spoiled by the fact that there was still a lot of building work ongoing around the property. Utilities and facilities could not be faulted, except for the pool which had a small amount of, what appeared to be scum, floating on the surface. This only appeared for one day though. Security was also good due to the provision of the automatically closing gate at the entrance to the complex.
Owner reply:
We are pleased to say that the building work to surrounding luxury apartments was completed in 2005. As this was the first year letting our apartment we want other renters to know that there should be no problems arising from any ongoing work. Our later reviews are positive and clients have thoroughly enjoyed staying in the apartment and we have received no complaints regarding any of the facilities.
