the villa was in a great location nice and quite and wasnt to far from the beach and local shops. the villa inside is fantastic well looked after and decorated to a high standard. the outside was really nice to and the pool was really clean and maintained whilst we were there to which i thought was great but over all what a brilliant place and guys who run it we will be visiting again. :))

this holiday was booked quite last minute and we were looking for something quiet and private and it was totally perfect for this. Everything about the place was exactly as described. the pool was an absolute highlight along with the weather. the villa itself was clean and tidy and it was a lovely touch to find a bottle of wine in the fridge when we arrived. Just one small change that i would suggest - the roof terrace sunbeds have seen better days and really let the look of the terrace down. thanks for a lovely time

Another fantastic Villa, a shame not all visitors treat the place with respect. The previous guests had messed with the pool leaving it extremely dirty, fortunately Ian and Barry are absolute stars and visited multiple times PER DAY until the pool was crystal clear again, really you cant fault the service. Villa has everything you need, dish washer, microwave, washing machine, tv, dvd, stereo etc and has just had aircon installed too, a lifesaver as it was incredibly hot while we where there. Have to recommend the Rose & Crown pub in the shopping centre too, good food and the owners a top bloke. If I had to make a criticism it would be the tiles immediately round the pool (not the patio) are like ice when wet would defiantly recommend the villa to anyone, shame I dont have any holidays left for this year :(

Our first impression of the house was comfortable, quiet and clean. The Pool ,when clean ,was good having 3 kids with us ,it helped alot. The property is a little run down and all i can advise is that when you arrive check eveything in the property. We have just returned home and been advised that the owners are making a claim for light in the pool which was broken before we even got there. And if you hate insects be warned there are lots at the fig tree villa

Peaceful, luscious pool, handy for walking to local bars restaurants and shop - car hire was needed to get to the fabulous beaches. Roof terrace affords view of sunset and the outside shower was a bonus too. Thoroughly recommend to a couple wanting a week or twos R&R.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay at Fig Tree Villa for our silver wedding anniversary. The fig tree has been cut right back and we did not suffer from ants to the extent we did last year. The pool was beautifully clean if a little cold - but it was mid September! Recommended.

The directions were a little confusing and could do with being simplified. The villa was lovely and having the pool was a lifesaver with the heat. We found the villa very well equipped - even for the kids. The only thing that it lacked was fans, it was very hot inside the villa and we needed to purchase another fan. Overall it was a really pleasant break and we definitely felt that the house made the holiday.

We had a brilliant week at this Villa. Within the villa there is everything you could possibly think of - including all of the things required for a trip to the beach! The pool was very clean and was used daily during the hot July week that we were there. The location was fine, within walking distance to supermarkets, bars and eating establishments. We would have to say that a car is a must have if you wish to see the surrounding area or visit the beaches. One downside to the Villa is the airconditioning or lack of, the large ceiling fans did little to help with the heat and we ended up buying a small stand alone fan to sit beside our babys cot. But all in all a lovely relaxing week was had. Many thanks!

Lovely clean villa within a quiet established urbanisation. We found the property manager Ian extremely helpful and when our hire car fell through he was willing to take us into Torrevieja a couple of times for a few euros so we could get a change of scene and expore a little. He aslo taxied us bakc to the airport at the end of our stay. Ian is brilliant and a real asset to the villa. Hint - you really do need a credit card in Spain for car hire a debit card will not do! Although in a quiet location, there is the Playa Flamenca complex within a (hot) 30 minute walk with bars, restaurants and entertainment and a couple of bars and supermarkets within a few minutes walk of the Villa. It is therfore perfeclty possible to have a good holiday without a car, but nevertheless we would recommend one to enjoy your holiday to the full. The beach is to far without one, for example. A couple of downsides: despite being called Fig Tree Villa, the fig tree really does need to come down. The rotting fruit that fell from the tree evey day during our stay in September attracted too many flies and ants for our liking and the garden needs the grass cutting and the hedge trimming. Also we were concerned that the pool was a little cloudy which from our conversaion in broken German and E

We had a great stay in this lovely villa. Well kept, maintained and in a super area. Shops/ restaurants/pubs all 10 mins walk away and beautiful beaches 10 mins in car. This villa has everything you will need (and then some). The pool is excellent- a great size and depth. The villa doesnt have air-con fitted (does have a portable unit) and we found this the only draw-back as temp reached 34 degrees at times but we had a super time and would recommend. Even the directions from airport were spot-on!!!! Thank-you to the owners for helping make this an enjoyable experience.

What a fantastic villa!! This was our first venture into booking a holiday direct through the internet and it could not have been better. The villa was so well equiped that we really only needed to take our clothes and extra towels, everything else you could require had already been thought of and put in the villa. We would advise car hire and also purchasing an up to date tourist map as the roads seem to be changing daily! The whole family enjoyed the peace and quiet that this villa supplied and the kids (and us) loved the pool. The entire experience was fantastic. We would highly recommend this villa and the renters who supplied all information you could ask for and were very helpful to anyone. Thak you and hope to see you again.

We found this villa very well equiped, clean and with comfortable beds. The area was blissfully quiet and secluded, with an excellent Indian takeaway a short walkable distance away. I think a car is a must if you want to explore or go to the beach or shopping. Ian who met us at the airport was an absolute jem showing us were everything was and taking us shopping. Thanks Ian.

This was our first time privately renting a villa and I'm glad to say it was a pleasant experience. The owners were quick to answer any questions we had and provide information. Our "meet and greet" were also very friendly and helpful, only a phonecall away (although we never needed to). The villa was great and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our daughter loved the pool and used it practically every day. She's also a bit of a telly addict, so the kids channel kept her quiet on occasions. The complex is well maintained and generally peaceful, with only the usual domestic sounds around you. The neighbours were either friendly or kept to themselves. The villa is very close to the complex entrance and we never had a problem parking. No worries about security either. We hired a car for this holiday and I'd consider it very advisable. You can walk to the local bar, restaurant etc. from the villa (about 10 minutes) and the villa doesn't feel remote at all. But to get around Orihuela, a car is just easier and much more economical than taxis etc. plus you can travel further afield very easily on the generally good roads, and there's usually plenty of parking around. We would definitely recommend this villa. If you can get some cheap flights and hire a car (we used Hertz and found them one of the cheapest) I think it would be very comparable to your typical package holiday, and a lot nicer!

We had an amazing time at the fig tree villa it is quite secluded but that is what we wanted really. You probably would be better off with a car to stay at this villa but we managed fine without one some places are a bit of a hike to get to, but as it was such a nice friendly area and not commercialized at all it was nice place to walk around. We didn't want for anything in the villa very well equipt. The rep's that met us out there were lovely people and very helpful when we needed them. Would definatly go there again in a heartbeat in fact didn't really want to come home thankyou for a wonderful time.

The only thing I thought was a bit misleading was distance to beaches you could not walk to them.

Owner reply:
Thank you for your review.
We have checked all our advertising details for this property and they all state a 5 minutes drive to the beach.
Our other two properties are closer to the beach and are within walking distance, this possibly led to some confusion.

When we arrived at the fig tree villa we were greeted and shown around. Overall the villa was clean and tidy. It was Situated in a very residential area and wouldnt say the area was heavily commercialised by tourists. This meant it was lovely and quiet, ideal for relaxing by the pool. The beach wasn't far by car as were the local supermarkets, and the beach was georgeous. However this villa was not really close to very much and if you didnt hire a car it would be difficult, to find places to eat. If you are looking for shops and tourisim then i would say this villa isnt for you, however ideal for relaxation and peace and quiet. we enjoyed our stay and the welcome pack of coffee wine and milk was welcome after the journey from the uk.

This is a lovely property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitely will be back again. Very peaceful quiet location but all amenities close in walking distance. We hired a car which was an excellent idea as we could go off the beaten track to other towns for shopping and food.

Oh what a wonderful break we enjoyed at the very well equiped, beautifully clean and fresh, Fig Tree Villa. It exceeded our expectations. We were delighted to be soaking up the sun in January....yet very appreciative of the heating as the evenings became chillier.Hiring a car was an excellent idea, it enabled us to eplore the area and experience some fabulous restaurants, further afield. ENJOY!
