Classic Spanish 2 bed bungalow with roof terrace & patios. Air Con & fans. Very well stocked with kitchen utensils, etc. Great welcome pack. Very good info pack. Nice position, close to The Arches area for shops & bars & Urban bus & main route buses. Felt part of a Spanish area, nice neighbours. Plenty of beach goods for use as were bikes which greatly add to the holiday. Area is so flat. 10 mins by bike to fab beaches & major supermarkets (Consum, Lidl or Dia). Owners are very nice to deal with. Overall, a great holiday, recommended best for couples wanting a quiet Spanish experience. Thanks to Martin & Christina.

"Casa de las Uvas is a lovely bungalow with superb solarium and nice garden. It is very cosy, homely and welcoming, close to bars, restaurants and shops. Lovely beach 10 mins walk away. Los Alcazares is well situated with good roads to surrounding cities and countryside and very Spanish in parts. Restaurant El Patio ll great for Spanish dining. We enjoy tennis, horse riding, cycling and the great local markets and local food. Have visited for eight years now so must have something good going for it. The mines at La unio n worth a look, also Cartagena and Murcia."

Casa de las Uvas is a great homely place for a holiday. Everything we needed was there. The Spanish and International neighbours round about are very friendly. I wonder who was the little child who kept running up to us saying, "Ola amigo". It is certainly one way to learn the pronounciation.
We prepared our meals in a well equiped kitchen starting with a lovely welcome pack and ate them inside, or the porch, or up on the roof watching the sky. One night it got dark as we sat there and eventually we heard the firrewoks anouncing the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. This area was once dominated by the moors after all. We could walk to the shops in the early morning so we could return before the sun hit hard or go by car or by the house bikes. They were the best way to go to the beach and either lie on the sand or swim and float in the water.

We loved our stay in Casa de Las Uvas and could easily have stayed longer. We were three middle aged women and felt very safe at all times. The villa is very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. We just wanted a relaxing holiday so we spent a lot of our time on the sun terrace which is beautiful. One thing we did miss was a corner shop for water but soon discovered that we could buy it at the cafes in the Oasis Centre which is literally a one minute walk away. We arrived late and it was so good to have the very generous welcome pack (more than enough to keep you going until the next day!) We ate late in the Turkish restaurant on our first night. Im not a pizza fan but it was truly delicious. It was great to have the bikes to get around on and with the help of the map the owners provided we had no trouble finding our bearings. The beach is about 10 minutes away and the supermarket Consum is about 5 minutes by bike. Our last girls holiday was in Nerja which has become very expensive. We are delighted to have found another little jem of a place in Los Narejos which is very good value for money as well as being very pretty. All in all for anyone who wants to get away from it all you couldnt go wrong in this location. We are planning on repeating the experience next year! Our thanks to Chris and Martin for thinking of everything !

casa really suited us being a detached property. it was lovely and quiet while we were there. The air conditioning is a god send in view of the overwhelming heat average 34 degrees during August. It is nice size for a "couple" or small family. The propery management Diamond Services were very helpful. Having access to the bikes was fantastic. We could cyle to the beach every day.

The villa is very pretty and has a delightful garden - lemon tree, grape vine, beautiful flowering plants everywhere - Hibiscus was stunning whilst we were there. The roof garden is fabulous and ideal for evenings - or possibly early morning if youre up early enough. The air conditioning is fabulous and much needed. We arrived to a very generous welcome pack (wine, sangria, cheese, ham, bread, butter, large bowl of fruit on the table, water, orange juice!!!) - the spanish taxi driver who took us from the airport couldnt have been more helpful.
The villa is perfect - has absolutely everything you could possibly need - very well cared for, very clean, everything works well. Pretty curtains and covers. Lots of useful notes and information to get you started.
The best restaurants are probably over by the Mercadona in the walkway that leads down to the beach but we did try a lovely tapas bar in the Oasis which was fabulous spanish tapas (about £22 for 3 of us) and far more than we could eat. Its like anywhere you need to look around but there are so many different types of places and we were spoilt for choice.
The bikes are a great advantage as its only 10 mins to the beach and about the same to the best supermarket (Mercadona and Consum). Theres a Barclays within a few minutes cycle ride and has a cash machine. Having not cycled for about 45 years it was a bit scary at first but I was ok after a day or two! Perhaps next time well hire a car but the cycling was great for our 10 yr old son.
We went to Murcia by car which took an hour - what a lovely city - very attractive main square and cathedral. Great shops.
Los Alcazares is busy and bustling seaside town and we went to a brilliant beachside Hotel (has a very smart courtyard restaurant. We sat outside near the beach and it was fabulous in the evening. Fabulous food and expensive! but worth it - Hotel Encarnacion
The fresh lemonade with crushed ice is wonderful - and all the beach bars sell it.
The beaches were lovely - the water perfect and so safe as its a lagoon - very shallow for ages and perfect for children.
We would love to go back to Casa de las Uvas and Im sure we will. Diane, the property manager is english and enormously helpful. We had no problems whatsoever whilst we were there and just wished we had longer there. The Saturday market is well worth a visit - enormous choice. James bought a leather hat (cowboy style) for 5 euros. We sampled the local breakfast of long donuts dipped in melted chocolate - it was all amazing!!!
Thankyou very much Chris we loved it all.

I cannot say this exceeded my expectations because we holidayed there last year. How about "Very satisfied"... We Knew it would be a lovely place to live in. And the morning air display did not disappoint us. Now none of speaks Spanish well enough to follow the TV weather forecaster but the pictures of floods, thunderstorms and giant hail in other parts of Spain made us very thankful not to be there - our weather was fabulous. The oddest thing we had was a sandstorm in the middle of the night. There wasnt much but it was just as well that the Utility Area is now closed off or it might have made a mess of the bikes that we cycled on down to the beaches. Oh, its now possible to see our Breakfast Table on Google Earth

We thoroughly enjoyed using the bikes and found them an ideal way of getting around los nerejos and los alcazares.

The villa was great and seemed to have every thing we needed. The sun terrace was lovely too & a welcome extra living space, although a bit hot during the middle of the day! Thanks must go to the owners who left lots of information and advice in the villa to help us enjoy our stay there.

This villa was just excellent everything we needed was to hand and this made the holiday more enjoyable.
The bikes were used everyday and were very useful.
We hope we left Villa in good state after two blissful weeks in it.

"Good value" is subjective and we felt every minute was worth it. Our expectations were lower than our hopes and even those were exceeded. Just how can you describe 'home' in a hot climate with light that delights your eyes and perfumes all around that quicken your body. It is the holiday home we've felt most at ease in, and the big smiles we came back with are a testimony to everyone we meet of how good it was for us. Diane's a Diamond, answering our needs before we expressed them, and the amount of local information waiting there for us was more than ample - like the Welcome Pack.
Get out there and ride those bikes folk!

I have stayed at the villa many times and that in itself speaks volumes! Clean, well maintained property. Great location. Everything needed is provided Plenty of literature and maps provided to help you explore the area.
Owner reply:
Thanks Carol, glad you enjoyed your visit to our villa. A valued client now booked again for visit number 7 so I guess she likes it!

My wife and I stayed at Casa de las Uvas in June this year for a fortnight. The place is in a quiet, cul-de-sac location, and has the feel of a family home. The house is comfortably furnished and ideally situated for the beach, nearby shops and local restaurants. The bikes are an added bonus and, unless you plan to travel more than a few miles doing your stay, almost do away with the need to hire a car - particularly if you are flying into Murcia airport , which is about 10 minutes away by taxi.
The local beach is clean and the water is calm, shallow and ideal for swimming - it's a few degrees warmer than the rest of the Med because of the almost land-locked Mar Menor.
We have stayed in the area a few times before (co-incidentally within a 100 yards of Villa de las Uvas) and we would definitely recommed this place to anyone.
Owner reply:
Thankyou Martyn, we are glad you both enjoyed staying at our villa and look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

This property had everything we expected, and a little bit more.
The owner has definately put a lot of thought into making her guests stay as comfortable as possible. You could tell it is a place that they love to visit too. We know we would.
It is a real home from home.
Best bit for us was the roof terrace. Drinking wine on a warm evening, under a sky full of stars. Bliss.
Owner reply:
Thankyou Marc for your lovely review. We are very happy that you had such a good time and enjoyed our villa. We aim to do our best to make things comfortable and easy as possible. We hope you come back again soon.

very comfortable, homely & well equipped; good local information; bikes were a real bonus; welcome pack was excellent & very generous. The only problem was overloading the electricity circuit, which happened quite a bit while cooking etc! Otherwise splendid!
Owner reply:
Thank you for your nice review and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Thank you also for bringing the problem with the electricity to our attention. It is now resolved so no more interruptions to cooking!

Beautiful villa, clean, comfortable and so well equipped (the owners have thought of everything), was exactly as described and did what it said on the tin!
The welcome pack of basic provisions arranged by the owners was much appreciated and a very nice touch, especially as we arrived on a Sunday evening.
Made full use of the 4 bikes and cycled everywhere, as everything is within easy reach. Especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace for relaxing in the early evening / morning sunshine and regularly used the gas barbecue. Sun loungers with cushions and sun shade also provided. If you have children, there are even buckets, spades and beach toys for them to use.
Very pleasant to sit outside underneath the lemon tree for breakfast and the grape vine provided welcome shade from the midday sun in the height of summer.
The outside shower is an excellent feature for cooling down when it gets a bit hot upstairs on the roof!
Lots of local information provided in the living room drawer together with other visitors’ recommendations for local restaurants and things to do.
There’s plenty to see and do nearby and the local people are helpful and friendly. Highly recommended and would definitely return to re-charge our batteries.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
Owner reply:
Thank you Julia, it was nice to welcome you to our villa again this year, glad you enjoyed it and hope you come again soon!

We followed your "Directions for finding the villa" from Alicante with no problems.
On Arrival the Villa was in good order - lovely inside and out.
The welcome pack was a useful complimentary extra; a few tea bags would have been nice.
Only used the grey bike, but it was in excellent condition.
The map of the area was useful in finding the shops and way to the beach, we found things easily.
The tourist information, guides, phrasebook and dictionary was very useful. We did not do much research before the holiday so this was a great resource.
The Villa was well equipped. It felt like a home from home.
We would absolutely consider returning in the future and have already recommended to friends.
Thank you - your thoughtfulness and planning made this a great holiday for us.
The Sinclairs.
Owner reply:
2007- Thanks Sinclairs, and thanks for booking your 3rd years holiday with us once again. We are always glad to have our visitors returning, it is our greatest compliment and hopefully shows we are getting things about right but still always welcome any suggestions. Hope the sun shines brightly for you once again.
