A beautifully clean well stocked user friendly property. Well described and exceeding our expectations. The villa was close to the small town of Los Montesinos and within walking distance of the local super market and watering hole. Torrevieja was a 10 min drive away with lots of shops and eateries. The beaches were excellent with lovely clean, clear blue water. A car is essential if you want to enjoy the area to the full. We would highly recommend this property.

We had a fantastic holiday. The villa was just as the description. Very well equipped, better than we expected. Good location, nice and quiet, 10 mins from the beach. A car is definitely a must though. More than happy to come back.

My family had a wonderful holiday in La Herrada. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed for our self-catered holiday. There is a large supermarket only 2 minutes away which is very reasonably priced! Next to this there is a small complex of bars and restaurants which were all very nice. The pool was a great treat for the kids and was very close to our villa. The walk into town only takes around 20 mins but it can be quite a strain on younger children, especially in hot weather so car hire would be recommended. All in all, the villa exceeded our expectations and if we were to return to this area we would have no hesitation in renting the villa again. Thanks to the owner for a wonderful stay.

it was our first holiday on our own without the children we had a great time the villa was ideal with or without kids .pretty central to everything all though you do need transport.building work in the area but did not disturb us. The only critisim we have is that there was no sky tv. we will for sure pass on details of the villa to our friends.ps the neighbours were very welcoming and helpful.all the best and thanks again rick and bev smith

Property had everything we needed and catered very well for young children & babies which benefited us! The location was a bit in the middle of nowhere and we found the la herrada estate to be a bit too"english" for us and we didnt have much privacy as all properties are built on top of each other, it also felt a bit like a retirement village as all ajoining properties belonged to older couples (we are all in out late 20s) - when in Spain we prefer to do the spanish thing! We didnt find any where to eat in Los Montisinos so we tended to venture further a field to eat out at night! Overall it was a good base for a week but we would stuggle to amuse the children for any longer that that! A plus point is the pool area which was perfect and we had it to ourselves which was fabulous! Thank you

The property is in a residental area, the permanent residents are lovely and friendly. The pool area is also good and quiet we found we were the only ones there at on several occasions. The house is in the quiet location, so you definately need a car, which the details state. Visit Torrevieja and san pedro beaches, good for small children, very calm water. Overall we had a lovely holiday and shall be returning to the same area next year. Thanks very much.

the standard of the property was very good and spacious, however the location was not what was described. We had 4 children aged 8 to 13 and there was quite simply nthing to do. We were a good 20 minutes walk from Montesinos and that is not a pleasure when you are in the heat with the children. It was described to us as being 10 minutes from bars and restuarants. Not so.
You need to hire a car if you wish to stay here. It should also be noted that the taxi service is non existant in the area. La Herrada is put simply, in the middle of nowhere. That said once we hired a car for 9 days,( 7 seater) we were good to go and the roads were fine.
Again the property was good just the location not so. Not good for families with children unless you get a car which is a must.
Owner reply:
We were sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the distance of the villa from town, but our advert does state this is a 20 mins walk, and that a car is recommended to take full advantage of the attractions further away.
I have re-worded the advert to recommend a car

The property is in an excellent location for day trips to places like Valencia and Granada and is only 10-15 minutes from the great beaches of Torrevieja.
The villa is well equiped and perfect for a family or group of three or four friends. It is in a quiet area, away from the noise and crowds. The nearby town has nice restaurants and bars as well as banks and an internet cafe.
I plan on returning soon.

We had a fantastic time, the house had everything and more, excellent value and a prime location. We enjoyed lazing around on the sun loungers on the terraces and the evenings were so peacefull. The village is a short pleasant walk with all the amenities you could ever need. Thanks to Keith and family for a break from it all.

Fantastic, just like home, but sunnier! The location is great, the neighbours are great, its nice and quiet, the pool is lovely just at the end of the street. The villa has every accessory needed, nice and clean and plenty of information about the surrounding areas, places you can go and things to do. Excellent and I'll definately be booking up again for the summer.
Thankyou for such a lovely stay, its a beautiful holiday home.

The location of this villa is absolutely fantastic for any age group whatever their interests - being 20 mins drive to the beach, 20 mins to the mountains, 2 mins to the adorable typically Spanish town of Montesinos and 1 minute wal;k to a huge Supermarket stocking both British and Spanish goods. The communal pool serves only 16 houses and was literally just across the road.
Wonderfully quiet but with the assurance of help at hand from friendly neighbours or the keyholder just 50 m away. We were absolutely delighted.
The villa was beautifully equipped, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We really were amazed by it all and will certainly be going again with our daughter son-in-law and grandchild next time.
