Villa Calina is situated on the Northern frontline position on the exclusive Origo Mare Resort, set in 400 acres of landscaped gardens. The location is stunningly wild and rugged in the area called Majanicho.

The views from the villa are panoramic looking out over the volcanic terrain to the Atlantic Ocean. Lanzarote is north and is a few km away and to the East and South in the distance the mountain range of volcanoes

The Villa is fully equipped to a high standard and has 2 bedrooms, open plan living room, fully equipped kitchen, two large terraces and a beautiful well maintained garden surrounds the villa. There are 2 full bathrooms.

Brief History
Jean de Bethencourt first set foot on the pristine shores of Fuerteventura. When he invaded the island in 1402, he discovered paradise in Europe. And now you can too. Nestled on the breathtaking north coast of Fuerteventura is a destination poised to become the envy of island lovers throughout the Canary Islands. Located just 35 minutes from Puerto del Rosario International Airport – the lively beach town of Corralejo.

Take a 15 minute leisurely stroll to the white sand beach at Majanicho where you can surf or just watch the excitement of the kite surfers, particularly at the weekends. In Corralejo there is a wide variety of restaurants for your dining pleasure located right on the beach. While sitting on the beach, you can dine on everything from local cuisine to pizza. After eating you can relax at one of the local bars, or do some shopping, or just sit back, soak up the sun, watch the kite surfers dance on the water, sip your favourite beverage and feel the ocean breeze carry all your stress away.


Local Area Info
Majanicho and the Origo Mare Resort are quiet & tranquil, ideal for those wanting to get away for a very relaxing break. The village of Lajares is just 5 km distance and has a good supermarket, pharmacy, some local bars and restaurants, French patisserie, Typical Canarian gift shop where you can see lace making and several surfing shops.

If you like to eat out you will not be disappointed in Correlajo with its many restaurants, bars shops, Baku market, Water Park and beaches. If you surf Majanicho beach is within walking distance where you can swim, snorkel and surf.

The beaches in Corralejo are the resorts major attraction. The area has 7 miles (11 km) of fine sand starting 2 miles (3.2 km) outside of Corralejo, along with some smaller bays along the coast. In addition, there are several miles of sand dunes, which have been designated as a nature reserve. The waters around Corralejo are crystal clear and an intense shade of blue and aquamarine. The towns beaches are sheltered and have a band of volcanic rock and fine sand along the shoreline.

At Corralejo Harbour the ferries go over to Lanzarote and the island of Los Lobos is 2 km by glass bottom boat from the harbour, there you will find lovely beaches and bays to swim & snorkel. There are also organised diving, fishing trips and dolphin watching in the local waters and trips on the Catalanza Catamaran where you will have a fantastic day out.

El Cotillo is only a 15-minute drive and is a Mecca for the surfing community. To the south Cotillo has nice beaches that are very popular with surfers as the waves roll in at full strength. At the old harbour there are a good selection of nice restaurants with great views to the sandy beaches and great sunsets. The beaches to the north of El Cotillo are in fact lagoons that are protected from big Atlantic waves by lava reefs. You can find pools with warm water making them ideal to swim in.

Sports on the Island

Fuerteventura Golf Club in Costa Caleta, was the first of its kind on the island, is only 11 kilometres from the capital Puerto del Rosario, and eight kilometres from the airport.
The course has 18 holes, with a par of 71, and wanders over streams and around lakes. The 18th hole has a very high tee and is a dogleg par four. Here, the player could take more clubs than is needed for the tee shot with the breeze blowing behind. The delightful climate throughout summer and winter means this exciting course can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Windsurfing

the island is a Mecca for windsurfers. In July, Fuerteventura hosts the Professional Windsurfing Association world windsurfing speed and slalom event at Sotavento in the South. All year round surfers exploit the large Atlantic swells that roll onto the north and western coasts. Spring and summer has traditionally been the sailing season, but kite surfing has become increasingly popular for people looking for adrenaline sports.

It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a north facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
