Very peaceful place to relax, lovely comfortable villa. High standard of service provided by all members of staff. Was nice to be met at the airport by the air conditioned luxury transport, and taking advantage of the complimentary service ino the beach resort each day. Will defenitly be returning.

The property is beautiful but for us the location let it down. You are completely dependent on the mobile phone provided and the contact numbers it provides but we were let down a few times by the TUK TUK service and the first time we used the restaurant option they advised us that they couldnt provide the shuttle service that we were led to believe would be available. We appreciate that things will go wrong occasionally but we found that over the 2 weeks we were forever hanging about waiting on the Tuk Tuk. When we phoned the quickest time we were ever given was 15 minutes and on holiday we like to be spontaneous and just GO.
We booked a boat trip through Krabi Villas and after the trip we had to drive around Ao Nang for over an hour in a Tuk Tuk because the driver had no idea where the villa is.
Even if we had wanted to get an alternative taxi and pay for the convenience of not having to wait - we couldnt because the driver wouldnt know the villa location.
As weve said we thought the villa and gardens were exceptional but it must be noted that there is now construction ongoing at the front (Small house?) and at the rear a larger project
The staff we met at the villa were excellent, very friendly and always willing to help.
The boat trip I mentioned previously I cant recommend, the islands that we visited were small and very crowded with other tourists. You are not allowed to use your sandals/flip flops on the boat because they dont want any problems with sand being carried on to the boat. This means that you spend the day with your bare feet walking over beaches with lots of broken coral & shells - not comfortable! We had no reasonable snorkelling opportunities and the boatman advised that since the 2004 Tsunami the coral was damaged and most of the fish have moved on. We were taken to the larger island called Poda where you are given some very basic lunch and left to wander about for an hour. To be honest after youve taken a few pictures theres nothing to do but swim, however the sea has lots blackened wood floating about. The Thai people running the tours (there must have been at least twenty boats there when we were there) use wood fires to heat the lunch and the charred remains of the fires end up in the sea.

To respond to your other comments, Mountain View Villa as per our website is set in natural location next to a national park (remote) but still only 10 minutes away from the more busy resort of Ao nang, this is what makes it so appealing to most of our guests, natural privacy but close to the hustle and bustle if needed, then quickly escape from it all and relax in your own private villa..
Our tuk tuk service timings are given via e-mail requests and upon arrival plus also written in the villa information folder, that it can take approximately 20 minutes after the request is made for the tuk tuk to arrive, this depends on the location of the tuk tuks when requested, normally this is not a problem as most guests are relaxed at the villa and do not need or want the quick up and go feel.
Mountain View Villa is set in special location which is becoming a desirable place to reside for obvious reasons “ Natural paradise ” so at present there is some minor construction work going on for a limited period in the local neighborhood but this is not visible from the walled and matured tropical garden private pool villa of Mountain View.
The local islands and their beaches are best visited during the months between November and March to appreciate their outstanding beauty, however in the low season during your visit the weather and sea conditions can be rough causing debris to be collected on the beaches.
We would recommend that you read the website listing in full of the property that you wish to rent, i.e.. is it remote and relaxing or busy up and go, to avoid any disappointment in the future.

Mountain View Villa was a delightful and tranquil place
to be away from any main roads and other noisy holiday
makers a lovely place to get back to after visiting beaches
or having day trips, I have already booked a further two
weeks for next year whilst we were there. I would recommend
this villa to anybody. The only down side is I think you really
need transport a car or motor bike as its quite a bit of the beaten
track to get to any restaurants or beaches.

"I wish I could take the villa and staff home with me!"
I found this villa on Tripadvisor, and through all the great reviews decided that this place would be perfect for our trip to Thailand. We contacted the manager and received great responses over every inquiry we had. We were very excited for the trip.
Now, to be honest, as the trip approached I was slightly nervous because when I tried finding the place on google map images, it doesnt show up as anything but a jungle and a field (the maps on google are old, dont trust them). Plus, since we were flying straight in to Phuket International airport (about 2 hours away) and had arranged to be picked up and had no alternatives in mind if nobody was there, I was definitely nervous. I hoped all the positive reviews were real! Thankfully, they were.
We were greeted at the airport with great enthusiasm! We were offered water and snacks for the ride and taken to a store to buy some food and snacks for the villa. At the villa we were greeted even more and shown around where everything was and, like everyone else says, given a cell phone with everyones numbers preprogrammed and just wonderful sweetness.
The pictures do not do the villa justice, it is so much more beautiful than photos can show. The yard is huge and the pool is perfect. There is wifi so we could post photos for people back home!
We were also worried about the distance from ao Nang. But, there were bicycles to ride if youre in decent shape, and the complimentary transfers. My wife and I decided, however, to rent a scooter from ao Nang, so we took the complimentary tuk tuk to ao Nang where the driver helped us rent a scooter (have I mentioned how helpful the staff is?) which was incredibly cheap to rent for our entire stay. We also found ourselves spending more time at the beach in Klong Muang which is much closer to the villa (easy bicycling distance) than ao Nang (which we went to for shopping and restaurants). In Klong Muang was a very nice man running an independent long boat, so no lines or tickets like ao Nang, who was also extremely helpful.
The elephants do indeed walk by in the mornings or you can even walk down to see them, because they are very close! The villa is beautifully secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas, so if thats what you want this might not be the best, but for us it was purely relaxing and wonderful. The service was amazing and the staff was like having close friends to talk to and help out, it was hard to say goodbye. How often do you miss your typical hotel staff?
The worst thing I can say about this place is that it has ruined me in my future travels, because nothing will ever be as good as this place and I will always be missing it! Im almost tearing up writing this and thinking about it! The last day I just walked around the villa trying to take everything in and trying to soak my memory with it. I have never been so sad to go home in my entire life and a large part of that is because of this villa and its staff. Thanks to everyone there!

Mountain View Villa was an amazing get away for my family, our two teenage girls enjoyed every moment: the sparkling pool, wonderful garden complete with butterflies and brightly coloured lizards that the girls quickly named, and daily rides to town in the open air transport. My husband and I enjoyed walks down the road amongst the rubber plantations, meeting local children and even stumbling across a family taking care of their elephants! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Mountain View, always friendly and helpful, we had no difficulty getting into Ao Nang and really enjoyed the drive in and back, as the scenery is so beautiful. Every morning the gardener would open up a coconut for my husband who would then enjoy the delicious fresh coconut milk, it really doesnt get much better than this. If you are looking for something different to a hotel then I would highly recommend a stay at Mountain View Villa. it is even more beautiful in real life and is truely a wonderful experience. Thankyou to everyone at Mountain View you all took such good care of us we wish you all well.

We stayed there for 8 days in july 2011. The villa is just amazing. Very spacius and with a great pool ang very big and beatifull garden. We stayed 5 people (3 adults and 2 children) without any problems. The villa is kept very nice and clean with maidservice and gardner on a daily basis and pool cleaning 2 times a week. The villa has everything you need with 3 tvs, dvd, fully equipped kicthen and a lot of different seating possibilities both inside and outside.
The villa is located in a remote area about 15 min. from Ao Nang, but there is complimentary shuttle service 2 times every day with return trips to whereever you want to go in the vicinity.
The people from Krabi Villas are very nice and serviceminded.
This villa recieves our highest recommendation and is a bargin at the price.

Thank you for making our stay in Mountain View villa run so smoothly. You and Nang were so helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. The villa and its location were perfect. With the luxury of the Tuk tuk meant we could still have freedom and night life when we wanted. There is still much more to explore in Krabi province, so Im sure when we come back we will want to stay at Mountain View. Sadly no more swimming before breakfast now. We had to make do with our hot tub in the garden instead of your lovely pool. Back in England the weather is cold, but luckily the sun is shining. Have the summer to look forward too.

You really have to experience this beautiful villa and surrounding grounds to truly appreciate it, as the website could not possibly do it justice. The villa is large and luxurious and is kept spotlessly clean, and the surrounding gardens, which resemble a miniature Kew, are a beauty to behold. The sparkling pool and tinkling waterfall invite you to submerge yourself in its crystal clear waters and the garden is visited by many beautiful butterflies, some as large as saucers, and colourful tiny birds which visit the hundreds of exotic flowers and plants in the garden to drink their nectar. . The complimentary airport transfers and tuk tuk transport system work seamlessly and are an added bonus. Mark, Nang and Jeab will do all they can to ensure your holiday lives up to your expectations and in fact the whole Krabi Villa team work together like a well-oiled machine. Nang cooked us two delicious meals in the villa, up to professional standards, and the laundry service was excellent, they collect your dirty washing and return it next day beautifully clean and ironed for about £1 a kilo. We really will be returning again, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Wow. We were a party of 2 40-ish yr-olds, 2 70-ish yr olds and one 80-ish. And all 5 five of us absolutely loved Mountain View villa. Theres really not a bad thing about it. The location is great - so peaceful, and yes, close to the elephants. The garden and pool were simply beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed. At first I was slightly worried that we were too far from shops/ restaurants etc, but in fact the villa was so lovely we didnt want to leave it much. And when we did the complementary tuk-tuk service made it all very easy. Mark and Nang and Jeab were fantastically helpful too, always at hand with answers to any questions. Cant thank them enough. My partner and I stay at Mountain View for 3 weeks. Everything was of the highest standard. We were met at the airport by 2 of the Krabi Villas staff who took us straight to a large supermarket for shopping. We arrived at the villa to a very warm welcome from Mark and Nang who walked us aroung the villa and explained how everything worked. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given a mobile phone to use if we needed any help with anything. All the staff were really friendly, the cleaners, the gardener and the pool boys. The facilities were first class and the setting was perfect. Such a peacefull location but only 10 mins away from Ao Nang. Thanks again to Mark and Nang for making our holiday such a memorable one. We are already looking into our return.

Absolutely superb holiday. The villa exceeeded our expectations and we had the most wonderful holiday. We have just returend from a wonderful holiday in aoNang Krabi Thailand. We stayed in a beautiful villa called "Mountain View" situated on the fringe of a National Park. Its let by Krabi Villas Ltd. It was exactly as it says on the web plus much more. The service, friendliness, and organised trips were perfect, from the day we arrived to the day we left. Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed at Mountain View earlier this year and was very happy with the natural quality of the Villa and the location. Unlike many villas saying private, this is. My husband and I have just returned from Krabi after staying 7 nights in our own private Villa. Mountain View villa was our choice after finding it on trip advisor which looked perfect for the two of us. Once we arrived we couldnt believe that it was even better than the website. It is just so beautiful, quiet, private and so relaxing. We had complimentary transport everyday when needed to take us to the beach or to go shopping. We had 4 meals cooked for us in the Villa by our own private Thai cook, much better than any of the restaurants, my husband would have a swim then jump out of the pool for his dinner. Thank you to all the staff at Krabi Villas for making it the best holiday ever.

OMG what a amazing villa so peaceful you will not be disappointed the only negative thing was leaving, but will be back for sure yes elephants do go pass everyday the beach is not that far we had use of samari which was great fun only took 10 min to beach, there was 4 elephants camps close by,thank you mark & nang for making our holiday the best they are fantastic always sorting cabs & making sure we all ok and not missing out on anything we all loved it there was 4 adults 1 teenager 13 yrs who had a great time loads of room fantastic pool villa cleaned daily stunning place

Mountain View Villa was really nice and beautiful place for spending holiday with family.
Notice one thing, you have to always take a taxi or rent a car if you want to go for example to the beach.
There is also very often somebody (gardener, cleaner...) working there. So we were looking after more own private time.

Our expectations were not only met, but exceeded them definitely. The villa is some kilometres from crowded Ao Nang, near Klong Muang Beach, where you still can find some places not overcrowded. The environment of the villa was perfect, the service provided by the owners too. We hired two motorbikes and were independent of taxis or tuktuk service. Nearby the property the owners recommended a restaurant called Bang Por which more than met our needs at good prices. The villa itself is spacious, perfectly cleaned every day and the garden and the pool are more than impressive- they surpass the pictures on this website! We were two couples and there is enough space indoors and outdoors to be on your own. We will definitely come back. If you are an elephant lover, there are two different camps nearby we visited every day or even twice a day. Thanks to the owners for building such a beautiful holiday home at an affordable price!

Wonderful, the villa, gardens and pool were superb, many hours were spent soaking up the sun and beautiful surroundings and yes we did see elephants passing the villa. Mark, Nang and team were excellent in making our holiday so enjoyable and they were only a phonecall away if needed.
The villa was in a great location, peaceful but not too far away from the tourist areas of Ao Nang, Klong Muang and Krabi etc.
Was our holiday:-
Good value for money?, most definately.
Did it meet our expectation?, yes and more.

"Christmas in Paradise 2009"
Mountain View villa was the perfect location for our Christmas family reunio n in Thailand. The villa is set in a very quiet and secluded area of Krabi. The scenery and views surronding the villa are stunning. If you are up early enough in the morning you can see the elephants passing by! During our stay Mark and Nang couldn't do enough for us. They gave us all the information and help we needed with trips, eating out, transport etc. Nothing was too much trouble. The beach and other amenities were not too far away, it took us about 15 minutes in the tuc tuc to get to Ay Nang. We as a family loved spending time in the villa and with such a fantastic pool were quite happy to spend our days there. We had a wonderful holiday and would like to thank Mark and Nang for all their kindness shown to us and making our stay so special. We are looking to come back again very soon.

This villa was just what my family and I were hoping to find. It is away from town a bit in a quiet, natural area surrounded by rubber plantations, so there was a feeling of seclusion that can be hard to find in Thailands more popular beach areas. Even though we had opted to be away from town a bit, Mark and his staff did an excellent job to make sue that we could parktake in all of the areas attractions with no hassle: arranging tours on short notice, getting us cabs, helping us get groceries, providing bicycles, and even providing a ride from time to time if everything allowed.
The property is stunning to be sure (as can be seen from the pictures), but the friendly, attentive service we received from Krabi Villas is what helped to make our experience what it was. If you want privacy and seclusion, but also no fuss access to the things that make Krabi unique, this is the way to do it. Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing, Mountain view villa was just perfect, so peaceful and private, when we arrived the whole place just blew us away, much better than on the website, the villa was beautiful and the location could not be better. The service was 1st class, they have their own private villa care company who takes care of the villa and also helping us with any of our requests, very helpful but also very discreet giving us plenty of privacy so we could relax in our own pool and tropical garden. The only bad thing was having to leave, but not for long as we are most definitely returning, Many thanks to Mark and his staff for letting us experience and enjoy Mountain view villa.

absolutely beautiful villa with fantastic landscaped gardens, a huge fish pond which surrounds a raised sitting area, and a crystal clear wonderful pool. It is all surrounded by jungle, rubber plantations and mountains, and the only noise you hear is the singing of birds and monkeys. To open the sliding doors in the morning and to see the view is just pure heaven. We spent our days relaxing in the spotlessly clean pool, listening to the twittering of birds that inhabit the area, watching the butterflies and lizards, or just laying on a sun bed in our huge private garden and waiting to see the elephants from the nearby trekking area walk past the garden gate. It sounds idyllic - and it is.
At night we occasionally ventured into nearby Ao Nang for a meal, but more often than not we preferred to stay at home with a barbecue. We thank our lucky stars that we discovered this little bit of paradise.
What makes it so very special are the owners Mark and Nang. There is nothing that they will not do to make sure that your visit is memorable. They even gave us a phone so that we could contact them quickly if we had any problems. The only problem we had was tearing ourselves away from this little bit of heaven.
If you like large fancy hotels, hustle and bustle, noise, and nightlife with exciting bars and clubs - please, dont come here because its not for you! However, if you want to experience luxurious accommodation amid peaceful and beautiful surroundings then you wont find a better place than this.

Here is the review:
We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children Ɨ years old and 3 years
old), we live in United States of America. When we first saw the
villa, we couldn’t believe that we could ever afford to live in such a
luxury place. Pictures don’t do justice. It is magnificent. You are
located close to everything, yet totally secluded. It is at the end of
dead end road, very very private surrounded by nature, mountains with
beautiful peaks, nobody around. The swimming pool is just gorgeous,
the water is super clean comes from mountains, no chlorine to smell or
dry out your skin. We spent most of the time in the pool, just
enjoying the surroundings, didn’t want to leave the villa to go
anywhere else. My 3-year old learned to swim without floaties there.
When you swim at night and look at the stars with palms all around, it
is the memory that stays with you forever.
And when you wake up to the waterfall sound next to your bedroom and
all the beautiful flowers blooming and mountains all around, it is
indescribable. We spent almost a month there in March of 2009. Close
by there is an elephant trekking, so they came to shower the elephants
almost every day right next to the gates, which was very exotic and my
kids loved it.
Mark and Nang were great, helped us a lot with information and tips of
what to do, where to eat, do great massage, and fixed minor things in
the house right away. All of our friends who saw the villa online envy
us, and we recommended it to all of them. Krabi is a gorgeous place to
visit, and if you stay in this villa, you won’t be disappointed.

“We visited the Mountain View villa in Krabi for our 3rd wedding anniversary. After seeing the pictures on the web, we were not prepared for how absolutely breathtaking the environment was! The house was wonderful, with a huge garden, big pool (no plunge pool here!) and full kitchen with all of the amenities (including a fantastic coffee that even my picky Roman husband liked). The location is perfect with nothing but the sound of crickets, birds and nature to disturb. And the view of the mountains is lovely at all times of day! Our favourite day was rainy and cool, but we got cosy on the comfy chairs, watched an old movie (they have satellite TV and a DVD player!) and listened to the sound of the rain on the surface of the pool. We will remember our visit fondly and are already planning a return, perhaps with friends. It is the perfect location for a short break or even a long holiday.”

We stayed at Mountain View Villa in December 2008 and had a wonderful experience. The villa is perfectly situated at the boundary of ………….National Park and about 10 minutes drive from the main beach areas. This was perfect for us as we could spend most of the morning and early afternoon on the shore or on boat trips to the local islands, and then return to the beautiful surroundings of the villa and the cool comfort of our own swimming pool.
The villa itself is tastefully designed to express the calm and peace of the natural environment that surrounds it. In the mornings we took breakfast on the gorgeous patio area and let the kids swim in the pool. In the evenings we prepared for a trip to the restaurants in town, but first with some drinks in the villas' own gazebo area. At this time we were often fortunate to witness the elephants from the National Park ,return to rest, after a day of trekking.
The villa has all the latest mod cons with a widescreen TV, satellite programming and internet access. However, we felt little need for these items and spent most of our time in the evenings relaxing to the sounds of nocturnal wildlife coming alive. And, believe me, it does come alive.
It was also nice to make use of the bicycles provided, and my father and I took a few trips either down to the beach or up into the tracks of the National Park.
We were a party of four adults and two small children and the villa accommodated us without any problem. The outdoor area around the villa, with its plentiful seating, is big enough that you can find your own private space for reading or simply relaxing.
Finally, Mark and his wife were extremely helpful without being intrusive. If we had any queries, they were only a phone call away. Mountain View Villa is a more expensive option than we would normally choose but it was one of the most impressive places I have ever stayed and I hope to return with my family in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa for unfortunately a short stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this to any of our friends - a true oasis in the middle of paradise.
