Excellent well appointed property on 3 levels. Ideal for extended family, or 2 families, as plenty of room to spread out in. Great having a water cooler, that was easily refilled from market across the road. (they delivered it too.) Good beach across the road, as well as a very well maintained swimming pool on site. Bus stop for dolmus, outside to go into Didum or Altinkum. Was told that there was WIFI on site, which was important to us, but there was not. How ever there was one across the road at the local cafe/market. Handy location to go on day trips to Ephesus, Lake Bafa & the Aqua swimming Pools.

excellent villa, superbly placed. nice quiet area of Akbuk, handy for dolmus into Akbuk , Didim and Altinkum. Property well equipped. Couple of restaurants/cafes nearby, but need to go into town for better selec tion of restaurants. Local supermarkets very good- we were able to get basics, but for better supermarket shopping, Migros in Akbuk. We would go again!

We rented this villa for 3 months from June to September 2011. There were 8 of us - 4 children ranging from the age of 8 months to 10 years - and 4 grown-ups. Villa is spacious - 4 bedrooms, 3 toilets, 2 bathrooms, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor with veranda, which is very convenient for breakfast and dinner, balconies and roof veranda for sun bathing (also very practical for drying things after washing). The villa is fully equipped with all necessary things. The villa complex is guarded during nighttime. The holiday was like a paradise for children - 2 swimming pools are 10 meters away (the pools were cleaned every night) with the small one for children under 5, the sea is less then 100 steps away, its a bay and the water is warm, clean and shallow for 50 meters, no jelly-fish, the beach is sandy and every morning at 7 AM is cleaned by the community staff, the weather is stable 32C at the daytime and 20-22C at the nighttime. The villa complex is situated at the end of the village (USLU is the name). Its actually not a village but a construction site, which was build about 15-20 years ago. It consists primarily of country houses, which Turkish people visit during the summer. Very few people live there all the year and not many of these houses are rented out. That was the conclusion from our experience at the beach. No Russians at all, my wife met only one woman speaking Russian who married a Turk 20 years ago. Fruits and vegetables are very good, fresh and cheap - 1-2 EUR/kg. One small shop is 100 meters away from the villa (they even deliver drinking water to the villa) and another 3-5 shops and cafes are 250-300 meters. USLU village is between DIDIM (5 miles) and AKBUK (2 miles), so on arrival one should name it to the driver as the postal address makes no sense in this area. In AKBUK theres a European style supermarket and many shops and cafes. In DIDIM (which is a bigger town) there are 2 or 3 supermarkets, banks, ATM machines and so on. Part of DIDIM is known as ALTINKUM, which is a kind of fashionable resort. There you can hear many languages, visit fine restaurants on the sea-front and Luna-park for children. Public transportation to AKBUK and DIDIM is by mini buses but, of course, with car its much better. Alla & Sergey from Moscow, Russia

we have just returned from the Villa Lycian, after having had a fabulous weeks there. the villa is much bigger than it looks in the advert, and is the most well equipped we have ever stayedin. The proximity to the lovely safe beach was an added bonus.all in all i would definately reccomend anyone to stay here . Most importantly the beds are really comfortable

Just returned from villa Lyican in Akbuk. stayed for 2 weeks from 2/8/10. The Villa is excellent and real value for money. Spotless and comfortable with all the amenities you would need during a self catering stay. Although the location is a wee bit off the beaten track, the setting is idyllic, with breathtaking views across the sea. Once you suss the transport into Akbuk and/or Altinkum (about 15 mins to either) you will have a great time. The locals are always friendly and accommodating with a few nice cafe/bars locally. A short dolmus (bus) ride into Akbuk or Altinkum for plenty plenty bars, retaurants and shops. local shop by the villa stocks all the essentials you need. Graham the owner has been especially helpful with a couple of minor issues and the other villa users on site always willing to assist if needed. All in all a excellent and peaceful holiday and would definately return to this wonderful Villa.
