The fact that I have stayed twice at No 2 Sunny Bay (a week in late August 2010 and 2 weeks August 2012) shows how much my family like the house, the complex and Akbuk. In 2011 we stayed in a villa in Kefelonia costing 3 times as much and there wasnt much difference at all in terms of quality of the accommodation. The view from the bedroom balconies of the mountains is lovely plus have a pool view as well. Sunny Bay is a 5 minute walk from the friday market -love the figs and 2 yummy bakeries. Its a 7-10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. IWe really enjoyed a late afternoon drink at Liberties Bar looking out to sea . The only downside I would say is that if you want your children to meet other kids that some of the properties are only occupied for a few weeks a year and its pot luck if other families are staying in the 3-4 houses which are rented. On the plus side -you often get the pool to yourself and No 2 has 4 sun loungers so no racing to save one atr 5am. I love Sunny Bay especially Keith and Helen who live there all year round and are so friendly.

So sorry for late review, we would just like to say that we had a superb stay at this villa in August last year 2011. It is a lovely complex with an immaculate clean pool. My teenage daughter Samantha loved having her own attic room with shower. Terry, Liz, Keith and Helen are such lovely, welcoming people who live on this complex and extremely helpful. There are pleanty of lovely restauraunts and bars on the front a couple of minutes walk away. The Dolmus bus down the road was regular and was great to going into the next popular village Altinkum. We enjoyed the lovely, peacful relaxing complex away from the hustle and bustle of life. Unfortunatley we have left it late this year to book this villa again and are really gutted that somebody has beaten us to it and booked the two weeks we have off in August again this year. If you are after a quiet, clean, relaxing holiday believe us this is the place to go and you will be back.

This is a bit of a late review as we had this glorious holiday last September.
What can we say?
It was the most relaxing and lovely holiday we have had. The villa was wonderful and obviously very spacious as it was just the two of us. Very clean, all amenities. A neighbour, Keith was on hand to advise- he could not have been any more helpful. Akbuk was a lovely place, plenty of good restaurants, but if you want to go further afield- hopping onto a Dolmus to other more lively towns around the area is less than 40 mins away. We really had such a fabulous time.
Would we recommend it? Definitely.
Would we go again? Already booked it.
So looking forward to going again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sunny Bay Villas. The Villa was comfortable and the location perfect. Only a few minutes walk to the sea front, restaurants and shops all on the flat was great for us considering the hot weather during August.
We visited the market each Friday during our holiday which is very large and boasts some excellent local produce. We were also thrilled to find that the market was literally a stones throw away from the villa.
The local restaurants were very good, our personal favourite being the Pasa which we visited several times during our stay and serves a mean Lamb Shank in mint gravy.
I would recommend the area if youre looking for a quiet holiday without the noise of bars and discos, which suited us as a family who just like to eat out and have a quiet stroll.
The pool at the villa was wonderful and we virtually had it to ourselves-during August. which was fabulous!

We had a superb week and the Villa exceeded all our expectations, the location was perfect in distance from the town and sea.. Lovely and quiet at night and the pool area was peaceful during the day.
The facilities and accomodation was of a high standard with no shortage of any item or implement.
We will be booking for next year without a doubt!..
