The transport to the property and return journey to the airport was prompt, helpful and the vehicle clean and well maintained. The welcome at the Villa was very warm and everything was thoroughly explained.The Villa and pool was exactly as described and was perfect for our family of 6. The furnishings and linen were all clean and of a good standard. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped for a holiday rental. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was very welcome in one of Turkeys hottest weeks. The pool and grounds were well maintained - the pool being an essential and kept my grandsons very happy and entertained. The area was quiet but not far from the local shops and the restaurants on the beach were reasonably priced and of good quality.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wanting a relaxing and comfortable holiday. The property was good value for one of the peak holiday weeks.

The agent was not there to meet us at the property when we arrived, and did not make the rearranged time either.We were left waiting outside in extreme heat. The property was not cleaned when we first arrived and the cleaner left a pile of dirty laundry from the previous occupants in the villa for the whole week.The beds were badly stained ,the outdoor barbeque was so dirty it was unusable and some things did not work/were broken.(eg electrical plugs, pool lights, french doors to pool, door lock in bathroom would not unlock once you were inside, vents around poolside were crumbling causing injury to one of our party). The agent was not avaliable when we rang the following day and although he called back later in the day he did not turn up when we arranged to meet him. He addressed some of the issues but not all.(The issues regarding the elecrtical problems and the pool concerned me from a health and safety perspective). The interior of the property smelt of sewage for a large part of the day.The property was a long way from the beach, town and any restaurants. I would not return and would not recommend.(Photos are avaliable once downloaded.)

I contacted you twice to find out you arrival details which you ignored, meaning last minute arrangements with the management agents, resulting in a late clean. When you contacted us you informed us that you had such a long journey - you only travelled from Dalaman as apparently you stayed there the night before. The villa was completely refurbished at the start of the season - the grills around the pool don't last long due to the extreme heat and have been replaced. The property is a 7 minute stroll to the beach. There are two restaurants close by (one is just a 1 minute walk and the other is about 4 minutes. All the other restaurants are about 7 minutes walk away by the beach. We have never stated that this property is near a town. Calis is about 5 minutes in the car and Fethiye about 15 minutes. If the cleaners forgot to take the linen from the previous guests, you could have easily informed the management agents of this matter.
We don't provide a BBQ - we prefer people to buy disposable ones so as not to have the problem you referred to. So, I have no idea why there is a BBQ there
Hopefully people will read all the previous reviews. We never have complaints as peopel generally sort out problems while they are there, and not wait until they come home. At no time during conversations with my husband when you phoned him did you mention any of the problems other than the villa not being ready. As previously mentioned, had you advised me of your arrival time, this would have been communicated on the normal schedule and not in a separate email which possible got overlooked.
We have many returning guests who are perfectly happy.

Property was generally good, with a few small niggles no light to use barbecue, 2nd and 3rd bedrooms very small, difficult to sit on terrace as a family to eat, no air conditioning downstairs The pool was great, the facilities washing machine, dishwasher, mobile phone service to management company etc were great. Aisha and Nick were brilliant in their support and service. BUT this property should say that a car is a neccesity, we spent a fortune on taxis.

Not sure why you would have needed to spend a fortune on taxis - the dolmus (local transport) stops at the end of the road and goes into Calis and Fethiye. There are also plent of restaurants around, the closes one is a 1 minute walk and the next one is about a 4 minute walk. Numerous others within 10 minutes. Local shops all within 10 minutes walk.
The advert states that air conditioning is only in the bedrooms. No need for it downstairs as with the windows open there is a lovely breeze blows through.
I wouldn't class any of the bedrooms small - obviuosly not as large as bedroom 1, but that is the main bedroom. I am not sure why you would have found it difficult to eat on the terrae - there are two tables and 8 chairs

we stayed for 3 weeks in aug 2011 and the villa was lovely, secluded spot with easy access to local amenities In the advert it says 5mins to market which actually means shop not market (my confusion) Nick who looked after us was amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they provided everything . I would definately stay again but not in that heat as the bedroom is the only area with air conditioning and that made it impossible to enjoy the lounge, let alone sleep in it . Perfect for only six people !

We actually prefer open windows than the air conditioning, which is why we have security bars and mosquito netting on all the windows. With the fans in the lounge and the windows opposite each other open, it creates a pleasant breeze in the lounge for both sleeping and relaxing.

Our 2nd visit to Villa Katife and once again we had a great time and a perfect week
Picked up from (and returned) the airport on time with Nick & Aysun
meeting us at the villa, we did not need to use the In resort phone but a great idea as a back up if any problems
Water tower in kitchen great and avoids having to go and buy (and carry) water, outside shower good idea (but cold!)
Once again recommend this villa

Weve just come back from a great family holiday. 7 adults. We all had a tummy bug so each day one of us was ill except for the last day. It did spoil our holiday otherwise it would have been perfect. as we went just out of season the 3 litttle shops close by had nothing onthe shelves but they did have fresh bread every day. we did spend a lot on taxis so that was quite expensive but the service through Nick was a little cheaper and reliable. The villa was great and private. We spent a lot of of time in and around the pool. We did want to do lots of things including Jeep safari but couldnt because of illness but did manage to get to Hisoronu for the night life. The Lagoon at Olu Deniz is a must for anyone who hasnt been before. We would all go again and would recommend it. Have fun.

Superb holiday! We were met at Dalaman airport by the villas own exclusive transfer, (no waiting around or sharing transport). We were met by Nick & his charming Turkish wife Aysun at the villa who are the senior management of the In-Resort team that looked after us so well throughout our stay. They issued us with a mobile phone which had their personal 24hr contact number on for emergencies, day trips or advice on restaurants, car hire and places to visit. We even used their drivers & transport quite cheaply for evenings out!
The gorgeous villa was very comfortable and immaculately clean with every facility one would expect to find in a modern home. The private swimming pool was cleaned, vacuumed, and chemically checked daily. Loads of room around the pool for sunbathing too. Walk out of the living room, dive into the pool, marvelous! We had two small children with us, but Im glad to say that the patio has a metal fence and gate to keep them away from the pool if needed.
Summing up, a great time was had by all. Will we book again? You bet! The Turkish people are so very friendly in this area and this villa holiday is one of our best to date.

We chose Villa Katife because of the good reviews it was given on the website and we can confirm they are all true!
If you are looking for a quality, private & peaceful villa with a great pool for your holiday this one will meet all your requirements.
There are some local beach bars/restaurants and mini supermarket within walking distance with the main Calis resort with everything you could want a short cab ride (20TKL there & back) away or you can hop on a local mini bus
From when we landed to departure everything went smoothly, we were collected from the airport on time and Nick & Aysun met us when we arrived at the villa and showed us round and were very helpful and always on the end of the ‘In resort’ mobile phone facility if needed, this is a great idea and gives a comfort factor to the whole holiday
Great villa, lovely weather, lovely Turkish people, lovely location all in all a great holiday and can recommend this villa to you!

We had a great family holiday at villa Katife. The pool was just what we needed to cool down. The villa was very comfortable and clean.
We used the in-resorts taxi on three occaisions and the driver Metin was very friendly and prompt to pick us up and take us back to the villa. The little shop up the road was handy and had a friendly man who was helpful...No decent wine there though........
Calis town was nice with lots of places to eat but was a very long walk and we got Metin to take us the second time we went. The sunset was really lovely and enjoyed over a great meal.
The jeep safari was a great day out but be prepared to get wet and dirty........
would definately recommend this villa......

excellent villa very well maintained and clean.Pool area very spacious and pool man very polite,the cleaner was very thorough and friendly.Our only constructive criticism is the need for a shower outside and a water system from which to draw drinking water from, avoiding the walk some times twice a day in the heat to buy water and carry it back to the villa .On the whole, one of the best villas we have rented and we will recomend it to others.

We try to respond to contructive criticism and the point you raised about the shower has been raised before.
May 2010, we have now installed an outside shower and also installed a water tower avoiding the need to carry drinking water back from the shops.

We returned to Villa Katife again and loved it even more than last year. Going two weeks later in the year also made it even better value for money, and still with excellent weather. The Berlik restaurant on the beach is an absolute must – beautiful location, excellent food and service, and unbelievably inexpensive. The villa itself had also been improved – now with double glazed windows and doors. Fethiye is just a short dolmus ride with all its restaurants, shops, harbour and the famous Tuesday market. We will definitely, definitely be returning next year and would highly recommend this villa.

from when you walk out of the airport untill you get dro pped off there you are looked after.
the villa is lovely with all mod cons and the pool is very well kept.
if you need anything just call desree and its sorted!

Had a really nice holliday. Villa is 1st class. This is our 2nd visit to Villa Katife and we were surprised to see how much the owners have done to the villa - it looks smashing. Hope to go again. As usual we were realy well looked after by team and would recomment this villa to anyone who is thinking of going to Turkey. This particular part of Turky has the most beautiful scenery.

We were looked after from start to finish. The private transfer waiting for us when we arrived at Dalaman airport, Desree at the villa to show us around and give us the keys. Pool very clean and constantly maintained. the only thing missing for us were mattresses for the sun loungers!
We love Turkey and have been to many resorts, this is a lovely villa in a great location.
Lots of personal touches, thanks to Jo for the phone call before we left home.
Would love to go again................we didnt really want to leave!!

Great break and the glorious weather at this time of year was a real bonus. The villa has had a complete repaint and was very fresh and clean. The owners have taken great care with everything they have provided and I would definitely recommend this villa. We have stayed here a couple of times before and we always enjoy it. The best holiday me and the family have ever had. The kids absolutely loved the villa and especially the private pool. A quiet area but close to all the amenities and the tourist spots are very easy to reach. We are going to try out the villa in Uzumlu next year as we had a look at the area when we stayed at villa Katiffe, which we will book as soon as the flights are released. Thank you very much for a fantastic holiday. We will be back. I can't think of anywhere better to stay and this is going to be our annual holiday from now on.

My girlfriend and I have just returned from a week’s holiday here and loved it. One of the best things about Villa Katife is its location; on a quiet road of Çalis, yet two minutes walk from the beach and just a five minute taxi ride from the town of Fethiye. The villa itself was excellent – spacious, private great pool, and very well equipped. End of September seems like a quiet time there, but this just made it all the more enchanting. We would definitely recommend to anyone. All in all, a boss holiday.

Turkey is a very beautiful country and the people are extremely friendly. This villa is very well equipped and nicely furnished including TV, music, air con, comfortable beds and sofas. In a good location and handy for taxis, dolmus. We were well looked after from the time we booked right through to our departure. Would definitely recommend.

The villa was better than we expected, the pool was brilliant, plenty big and deep enough. The villa had everything you needed, ie air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher. It was situated in a lovely quiet road, with restaurants and local shops very close. The locals are all really friendly and helpful. There is a local bus stop and taxi rank within 5 minutes walk away. Would definately recommend the villa to anyone.

We stayed at Villa Katife for 2 weeks, had a great holiday.
Everything you could want a beautiful villa, peaceful location, stunning views, but very close to the town of Calis,which has plenty of shops,bars & restaurants.
The In Resort management team ( Desree ) are fantastic nothing is too much trouble, a quick call on the mobile and she is there to help, supermarket trips can be arranged if you prefer to eat in the villa, although i would say that eating out is very reasonably priced & the food is good.....
Would recommend the trips to Saklikent Gorge & Dalyan turtle beach.
Definately hope to return to very soon....

We stayed in Villa Katife for 2 weeks mid June and had a brilliant holiday. Close to beaches, good bars and restaurants and easy access by bus or taxi to Fetihye. Villa has everything you need so no one could possibly have any complaints. The property management by Desiree was best we have ever had. Transfers to airport, supermarket,boat trips etc all organised by her if needed. Hopefully we will return one day

Absolutely brilliant,the property,the people,the rep (Desree) the food,100%.
The only thing the property is lacking (for us anyway) was a pool table in the garden.There was plenty of room & it would have kept the kids occupied a bit.

A fantastic Villa, a great pool, nice quiet location, beach and local shops within easy walking distance, Bus service to Fethiye very good. Plenty of restaurants in Calis and in Fethiye. Markets excellent, and haggling good fun. Some great trips available, we went to Dalyan and I would recommend this day out, which included a Mud Bath. The aqua park in Calis was good fun.

the property was very homely ,pool and gardens where clean would be ideal for family with children as ours where in pool all day, you where in contact with caretaker 24/7 and would get reply within seconds,only problem we had where wasps when you eat out side in day time.

Villa Katife is an ideal family holiday location for a perfect holiday on the Turkish Turquoise Coast.
My family and I have just returned from our 2nd holiday at the Villa Katife in Calis which we enjoyed immensely and have recently booked a return visit in September of this year.
The Villa Katife is a wonderful place to stay, very close to the town of Calis. There is a regular bus service and if you feel like travelling in a little more comfort, taxis are always available at a very reasonable rate.
The Villa is very comfortable and homely. The kitchen is fully fitted and has everything that you would require to cater for your family. The gardens and swimming pool areas are well looked after and are safe and secure for young children. All three bedrooms are all of a good size and fully furnished and air conditioned.
In addition it also has a large full size bathroom next to the bedrooms and an additional shower room at ground level plus a utility room with a washing machine.
Site management is quick and efficient in the event of any problems (very few) that may occur, by the supply of a mobile phone connected direct to the site manager.
There are a couple of small supermarkets close by, which you can purchase everyday items such as milk, eggs and bread, whilst the Migros Super market in Fethiye is only a 20 minute car/taxi drive away.
Whether you wish to just laze around the villa’s private and fully maintained pool, or enjoy the surrounding country side with its outstanding and spectacular natural beauty or explore the ancient sites antiquity (Tlos and Patara are within easy reach by car)
The Villa Katife is a very good and reasonably priced place to stay.

This is our second visit to this beautiful villa and we enjoyed ourselves as much as the first time. The owners have added a few extras and the garden, having matured since our first visit, is a wonderful place to relax. Everything is well organised from the minute the booking is made until the end of the holiday and nothing is too much trouble for the owners or the In-Resort Management team. Hope to be back again next year.

Katife Villa was perfect - well equiped, comfortable and the private pool a winner with the children. A definite recommendation.
We were looked after well by the In-resort management team, with efficient airport transfers and messaging service via the mobile phone provided!
There are plenty of beautiful and interesting sites to visit in the area with friendly locals who love children!

Very impressed with the service provided by Desree (rep) and Jo(owner). The Villa was excellent value for money and was kitted out with everything we could possibly need for our stay. Desree provided some excellent info and was always available if we had any questions. Would definetely consider coming back again. We have left info regarding our favourite trips in the log book. Just sad to be back at home.. could have stayed there a lot longer than 2 weeks!

Villa Katife, is well presented, and well situated, and caters for all your needs. The private swimming pool is excellent, the owners have really thought of everything, to make this a very special holiday. With many trips to do there is never a dull moment, the In-resort team if needed are always at the end the phone and offer an excellent service.

The whole of our holiday to this Villa and the region was a lovely experience. The weather was fantastic with a beautiful private pool to cool off in! The villa is tastefully equiped and furnished and the owners seemed to have thought about all of our needs.
We found the English management team extremely helpful and they were always available by the handy mobile phone provided!
We found the area convenient to reach all of the regions attractions easily and made use of the managements optional private excurtions that we found to be great value for money.
Roll on summer 2006! we will definately be booking again. Thanks for a great holiday in Calis.

p.s i extremeley recommend the use of ayahn? (Your personal taxi)to see more of the area not reachable by foot.

We were the first guests to stay at Villa Katife and had a fantastic holiday, so much so that we will be going back again. The villa is first class and the owners have thought of absolutely everything to make guests comfortable and feel welcome. The In-Resort Management Team were excellent and we used their driver on many occasions for trips and nights out - he is brilliant.

The Villa is really comfortable and well equipped with a nice size pool. Quite a walk from Calis along a dusty track although there are a couple of good restaurants nearby.Calis is a really nice resort not too commercialised.We used the agents taxi service quite a lot and had some nice days out with the driver Ayhan. This worked out quite cheap and he took us to places that we would not have found otherwise. Overall we had a brilliant holiday and were well looked after by the In Resort staff- nothing was too much trouble. We will hopefully be booking again for next year.
