There are a number of small islands in the bay and the view at sunset is quite breathtaking. There is a market every Sunday in Calis and the waterpark is open everyday during the summer season. Nearby attractions within easy reach by bus include the city of Fethiye, with its Agean tombs and large Tuesday market and the village of Gocek, with its beautiful marina. The nearby gorge at Saklikent is definately worth a visit, as is the ghost town of Kaya Koy, just 30 minutes drive and the beautiful resort of Olu Deniz, just a 45 minute bus journey. For those seeking out lively nightlife, Hisaronu parties until dawn and is just 40 minutes by bus.
