Clare was a wonderful host and really helpful without imposing.
The Stable Cottage was in the perfect location with fabulous views towards the mountains and the Ghost town. We had our own private patio area for bbqs and shared the much needed plunge pool.
We didnt need a car as the Dolmus bus regularly went through the village towards the beach or to Fetiye town, which has a fantastic market on Tuesdays and is buzzing at night!
Perfect place to relax but also plenty to do and see! Kayaking, Scenic walks, horse riding and beautiful beaches!
Would love to return!

Very well renovated cottage in the Kaya valley. Reasonably well equipped, comfortable, beautifully situated. Pool is too small for swimming, but Ok for a dip after a hot day.
Kaya is far enough away from the tourist hotspot of OluDeniz to make it a real Turkish experience.
Some good walking from the cottage front door, including to an isolated beach we had to ourselves. The local Dolmuses are regular, reliable and cheap and you really do not need a car, other than for the airport transfer.
Claire (owner) was helpful and on hand to offer advice.

The property was just what we needed, comfort privacy good local dolmus(bus) service, beautiful views of the Kaya valley, Good local walking and some great food in the locality, Clare the owner was very helpful, friendly and attentive. I would certainly recommend this property and we may use it again ourselves.
Thanks.

We stayed at the Stables in late September and enjoyed it very much. The cottage was fine for us, a couple and one teenage daughter, especially as it was summer and we didnt really spend much time indoors. Clare, the owner/manager, was very friendly and helpful and also arranged for our transport to and from Dalaman airport. Local buses run with reasonable frequency, although I think if we were to make a return visit we would get a car as it would make getting to and from the beach and town more convenient. Most of the local restaurants in the vilage will give you a ride home at night. The cottage itself is nice enough and we definitely appreciated the air conditioning as the temps were in the high 30s during our stay. The cottage could be improved by replacing the current kitchen crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. Otherwise, just fine.

Wonderful!! We have spent 2 fortnight holidays there and we hope these will not be our last. Claire is incredibly helpful and really enables you to get exactly what you want out of your stay. The locals are all very friendly and it feels like a home from home. The Stables are cosy, beautifully and sympathetically converted, and with so much private space! The local beaches are beautiful and there are just so many fantastic sights within easy reach. We hope very much that it will not be TOO long before we can return.

We had the most wonderful holiday here in June. The cottage is characterful and fully equipped with thoughtful touches such as candles for eating outside at night, lots of books to read and information about the local area. Clare the owner organised a taxi transfer from Dalaman airport and met us when we arrived. Clare is very friendly and was around and about most days to clean the pool and communal areas and was happy to organise car hire and trips. She also provided info about walks and interesting places to visit locally.
I cant recommend this cottage and area highly enough. It is a quiet, rural community with just the right number of restaurants and facilities. The most relaxed Ive been on holiday for years!

We have just come back from our weeks holiday. It was our second time at The Stables
Cottage and this time we brought our friends over aswell to stay at The Smokehouse. The holiday was even better than last year as we enjoyed the company of our friends. We were able to use both houses too as we shared breakfast and evening meals together. The pool was a blessing on the warm days and with the spectacular views of the hills around us, it made a perfect setting for reading and relaxing.
The four of us had a great time on nearby Gemiler beach, while Fethiye was visited for the great market. Also worth seeing is the Lychian/Roman fortress ruins of Tlos and the fantastic Saklikent Gorge. We walked to Olu Deniz starting at the Ghost town Levissi and followed the great and lovely scenery of the turqoise coast line. It was quite a climb but really worth the effort. The Afe Kule Monastery is also tricky to get to but equally as fantastic to see and offers great views of the Agean sea. Hisaronu is good for some tourist shopping with plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. However, you cannot beat the unspoilt village life of Kaya Koy, set in beautiful surroundings of the valley and the mountains. Our friends found this holiday very idyllic and are enthousiastic about doing it all over again. Our thanks go to Clare for making this a lovely holiday for the four of us!!

We had the most relaxing weeks holiday we have ever had. Everything went very smoothly including the airport transfers arranged by Clare.
The bus service is remarkable and we managed to get around easily without any problem.
We actually felt part of the community of Kinali village. The locals were so friendly. The valley is so rural and we enjoyed watching the cows being led to the water trough as we waited for the bus in the morning. However it is difficult to sleep once the cockerel and the ram start at dawn.
The Stables is very picturesque, while having all the facilities you need. The pool is small but the view poolside is spectacular.

The Stables may be compact but it had all that we needed and the outside space exceeded our expectations. We holidayed with our active 15 -month old toddler who needs constant supervision wherever he is (particularly climbing the stone steps up to the pool!) That said, I felt comfortable that this was a lovely place for a small childs first foreign holiday. He loved greeting the goats, chickens and cows in the village. We really benefitted from the travel cot and high-chair that Clare helpfully supplied too. Also nearby Gemiler Beach was just right for paddling and sorting pebbles. I should also mention that we had a lovely time too and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend this cottage, also the Smokehouse next door to any friends wanting a slice of rural Turkey, close to interesting archeological sites. We advise others with small children to take a back-carrier to get the most out of the location - we particularly liked the walk to the nearby monastery. A really nice holiday thanks!

Well situated. The Stables Cottage, Kaya, offers the purfect location for natural beauty, faun and flora of an exquisite village setting.
Being only 15 minutes away from the lively area of Hissaranou. You have the best of both worlds.
We found that you could have all the fun offered in the town. Then retreat to the peace and quiet of The Stables Cottage.
The accommodation was a traditional living space. Which gave you a real feel of "home away from home". Comfortable, Clean and equipped with a small Galley kitchenette. A barbecue was provided. Which was an excellent touch.
There is a resturant across the road from the cottage. Which offers a simple menu. This is great if you have had a day at the beach and dont really fancy cooking.
It is advisable to hire a car.
The local Dolmus (Bus Stop) is next to the resturant. It runs a good service, but like with most local transport - waiting times can vary.
In summary: We loved it and would definately like to return asap.

We had a very relaxing and lazy time at The Stable Cottage, just what we were look for!
The cottage had everything we needed, comfortable and clean with a spacious patio for dining and relaxing. The view from the pool area must be one of the best, with views to the Levissi Ruins and Babadag, especially with the evening sun illuminating the landscape.
Clare was there every morning, tending to the garden, watering the pots, cleaning the pool and offering ideas for a day out.
Although not far from the bustling resort of Hisaronu and Oludeniz the quiet area arround Kayakoy couldnt be more different. Although the Dolmus stops at the bottom of the drive, I would reccommend a hire car to see all the sights.
Certainly a place we would go again.
Thanks Clare.

We had a fantastic time at The Stables Cottage. Everything was there that we needed and it felt very cosy and comfortable. We absolutely loved the patio/terrace area in front of the cottage, with the breathtaking views of the mountains. The weather was also great, around 26 degrees celcius each day and that ofcourse made our holiday even better. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful country life. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main touristy areas, although the lovely town of Fethiye with its great Tuesday market was not too far away. The ruins of Levissi or The Gost Town, is absolutley a must to see and the Afe Kule Monastery is well worth a visit too. Clare, the owner of the Cottages, came to see us every morning and pointed us in the right direction of things to do. We also enjoyed eating out at the local restaurants. Especially the Kinali restaurant owned by Erkin and Fatma. We shall definitely come and stay at The Stables again as we really enjoyed the area and the hospitality of the local people. Thanks Clare, for the lifts and the friendship!

The cottage is in an idyllic position with wonderful views of the mountains and Kayakoy village. There are several steps up to the property which would make it unsuitable for the elderly or infirm.
The cottage is quite well equipped and comfortable, with a lovely sunny patio for dining. The pool is small but good for cooling off on hot days.
There is an excellent restaurant across the road, with easy access to others in the village.
Regular and helpful visits from the owner.
It is a peaceful haven away from the brash areas of Hisaronu and Oludeniz.

Really great spot in an area otherwise over run with holiday makers. Nice cottages and pool, excellent view and owner is very helpful. Local restaurants are delightful family spots with very nice food. While it is not on the beach and should be used with a rental car beaches and historical sites are within a short drive. Overall a great value for the money and lovely rental.

Kaya Cottages are amazing if you want to escape the rat race, and just need to relax. My fiancé and I booked a week's holiday there recently and couldn't believe how beautiful the cottage and the surrounding areas were.
Claire the owner of the cottage was incredibly helpful answering any question we had and also helping us out by pointing us in the direction of some really lovely walks in the area.
These cottages represent excellent value for money. They are simple, yet beautifully decorated with everything you need to have a quiet day lounging by the pool, or an evening meal cooking a Turkish BBQ. Alternatively if you fancy going out for a meal, there are plenty of restaurants in Kaya that can cook for you instead - including one at the bottom of the driveway!
The cottages are incredibly well connected to Fethiye with a dolmus literally on your doorstep that departed every hour while we were there (low season), stopping at Hisaranou and Ovacik (where you could change to go to Oludeniz). We didn't struggle for transport at all during our stay, enjoying the convenience of the bus on the door step, but also the peace of the village. Travelling 10 mins down the road by bus was not a big problem! I really can't say enough how much we enjoyed our time there - we only wish we had longer.

The Cottages are all delightful and make it pleasant to do nothing but take in it's atmosphere but its region is abundant in history and nature
Best beach is Patara - a paradise on a calm day and wonderful ruins. The lack of development is refreshing - long may it last. More locally Gemiler Beach takes some beating.

We loved the quiet country atmosphere. The house was perfect for us. The pool was much bigger than we expected from the pics and description on the website. The owner (Clare) was a great resource - she provided lots of local info and was very friendly. The local people in the village of Kinali were also very friendly and helpful.
