We loved the island of Exuma. The beaches, ocean and excellent food was to die for. We were disappointed in the yellow elder. It was not clean, the phones did not work and there was not wi-fi as told. We were also supposed to have a weeks supply of papertowels, trash bags, toilet paper and then we to supply to rest. There was nothing in the cottage. Rosilyn , the handyman, was a god send.
We were under the impression we could ride bikes everywhere and these rusted old things did not work. There were only two that were possible to ride and another couple kept them the entire time. I definitely would rent a car. It was a must!!!! We will definitley go back to this beautiful island but will not stay at Hoopers Bay Villas. If it had not been for Rosilyn helping us get settled we would have been lost. He set us up on the beach and made us feel at home. We only saw Bill curtis one time the first day and never could find him again. If the place had been more clean and the phones worked for us to call for boat rentals, car rentals etc. it would not have been so uncomfortable. However, the island and people were wonderful. Please do not expect to much from this place ...

My sister and I stayed at Hoopers Bay Villas this year and were very pleased with
the accommodations. Our villa was immaculate and we had everything we needed
including A/C and a TV for our times of relaxation. The beach across the road
has to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the Bahamas. Sue was a
pleasure to deal with and Mr. Curtis, a couple of doors down, was very courteous and helpful with any questions or problems. A very pleasant experience from start to finish.
