Other places in Cavtat
Review by Michael from Bozeman, Montana, USA
This small village on the Croatian coast south of
Dubrovnik is quaint, charming, and beautiful. The people are friendly and helpful. Evening strolls along the yacht-filled harbor, past al fresco cafés, bars, and restaurants are often marked by processions of worshipers from the two historical bayside churches. Kiosks and small boutiques line the narrow street, and all this activity is shaded by beautiful trees and perfumed by fragances of flowers and cooking. Along the rocky edge of the peninsula just north of the main shopping area there are tide pools and cliffs where swimmers recline on lounges overlooking the water. The tiny outdoor bar perched at the tip of the peninsula is the ideal place to watch the sunset. All in all, a truly marvelous vacation site.
