St Nicolas
Award winning, St Nicolas is the best new development in Cyprus. It enjoys a privileged and elevated position in Chlorakas. It is situated just ten minutes drive from historic Paphos on the western coast of Cyprus, and a five minute drive from Kato Paphos (port area) which is reknowned for its restaurants and authentic tavernas. The resort is only twenty five minutes from Paphos airport and less than ten minutes from Coral Bay with its teeming streets of shops, bars and eateries.
St. Nicholas offers a combination of quiet relaxation around its sun drenched pool, with the excitement of a visit to Paphos with its mixture of classical historic sites, fine dining, bars and nightlife. This family style resort boasts heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a tennis court, gymnasium, onsite restaurant, jacuzzi and even a small cinema room.
Each of our apartments have a light and airy lounge with french windows onto the large balcony with patio furniture. All of them are superbly furnished with tv & dvd, comfy sofa beds, coffee table and ample soft furnishings as benefits the best new development in Cyprus. The open plan kitchen has quality appliances including oven, fridge freezer, cooker, dishwasher and microwave. Bedrooms are again well furnished with pocket sprung matresses. Plenty of wardrobe space and again filled with light and wonderful views. Each property has a full bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin wc and well lit mirrors. The properties all have private parking and lifts to each floor.
Cyprus
The Island of Cyprus is situated in the eastern corner of the Mediterranean at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa.
The third largest of all the Mediterranean Islands, ranking in size after Sicily and sardinia its area is 9,251 square kilometers, stretching 240 km from West to East and 96 km from North to south with a permanent population of approximately 700,000 people.
Numerous historical sites are to be found rubbing shoulders with modern cities.
Seen as a whole, Cyprus emerges as a fascinating mosaic of time, combining the old with the new, the past and the present. It is also an Island of great scenic beauty with a startling variety of landscapes from sandy beaches to charming, unspoiled villages nestling in vineclad foothills, from fertile citrus and olive groves to lofty forests of pine and cedar.
Climate and other information
Cyprus boasts a unique climate, mild winters and hot dry summers. Average daytime temperatures in Winter are around 12-15 C and 26-29 C in Summer.
Cyprus enjoys approx 340 sunny days a year and the sun shines for an average of 11 hours a day, ideal for sailing, hiking, diving, and golf, very rarely does the weather interfere in Cyprus....and if it does, its never for very long.
While snow is very rare on the central plain and coast, snowfall occurs every year between December and April in areas with an altitude exceeding 1000m. The higher slopes of the Troodos mountains provide good skiing conditions for about 6 weeks a year.
Cyprus has two international airports, Larnaca to the North and Paphos to the South, both are approximately 4 hours flying time from the UK. There are currently over 40 airlines operating some 260 flights per week with the frequency and cost continuously improving.
The modern motorways linking the larger towns are excellent, and petrol costs roughly half its UK equivalent price. Driving is on the left as in the UK making the car an easy and cheap means of travel.
Public transport is also cheap and efficient.
