A beautiful property, which has everything one could possibly expect to find for a most enjoyable stay. A problem with hot water was rectified quickly and efficiently.

Spent just on a week at this lovely Gite. Le Bois has all you need for a very comfortable stay- very spacious will all the conveniences and finished to an excellent standard. Even when the weather made outside activities impossible there was plenty of room inside to spread and relax. Pool, swings and space to run and play make Le Bois ideal for families. We had a great time there and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it. As we were the only ones staying there it was also incredibly quiet. I also found the owner great to deal with when I was booking.

We had a short stay at the property in July 2012. We were impressed at the perfect blend of modern and old and the quality of the furnishings. The information available about the villa and area was excellent and the lovely caretakers ensured we had a very nice stay.
The children loved the vast garden and crop areas nearby as well as the new play equipment on site.
Very relaxing and peaceful and not too far from the Loire Valley tourist attractions.

A fantastic Gite, where we had our best ever holiday. Peter & Robert were very helpful when we had extra guests arrive for a weekend. On a slight negative side, the pool should be described as a large paddling pool as it certainly isnt big enough for swimming. Also, this is the first Gite weve stayed at where there was no welcome pack and no information on local amenities, markets, restaurants etc. However, we plan to return next year to this wonderful Gite in its perfect setting.

The property is in great condition and the photos do not do it justice! Its quite secluded, which is great if you want some privacy and tranquility. The owner is wonderful to deal with and will provide you with all the information you need to make your stay enjoyable. A truly A+ experience, and I wouldnt hesitate to come back!

We loved the property. The owner and managers were extremely nice and very helpful with giving us local information and assistance. The only caution we would add for anyone considering renting this property is to b sure you understand that there are two rental units on the property. Thus, if your expectation is to be alone on the property, you may wish to confirm that. We were alone as expected, and it was terrific. The house was extremely comfortable and charming. The outdoor areas offered great country views and sunsets. The location was perfect and was within an hour drive of literally every Loire site we wanted to visit.
We highly recommend this property.

The property is as in the photos - a lovely restoration/modernisation of an old stone cottage. Its very spacious with everything needed and in all of good quality. While there is a village about 8 minutes drive away, wineries, good restaurants are generally over half an hour away and the most famous tourist attractions (e.g. Villandry, Chenonceaux) are 45-90 minutes drive away. We were happy to curl up with a book in front of the fire and enjoy relaxing as that was our primary goal for the holiday. Points to note: the lounge room fireplace smokes the house out when it is windy and so is really unusable in such conditions (the kitchen one is fine) to cycle to the next village you have to share the road with enormous trucks and it is difficult to quickly pull off so it is not quite the relaxing journey you may imagine (tiny local roads are fine) youre in the countryside so the power does go off at times (the area apparently is being worked on). However, these are little things in context - we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. The owner and manager are both very responsive if necessary during the stay.

A very comfortable cottage in an extremely peaceful location.
It is about 45 minutes to any of the châteaus on both sides of the Loire, but on very quiet and easy roads.
There is a very comfortable double bed [which was important to me as I have a bad back], and there was a good WiFi connection and the free UK calls facility was very useful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Bois. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The gite was set in its own grounds in the middle of nowhere, which was just what we wanted. A new above ground pool was available to use which was lovely at the end of a very hot day.
we would happily recommend Le Bois to our friends

This is our second visit to Le Bois and we noticed that the owners have continued to improve the facilities sinceour visit last year including the addition of a wide screen TV and Sky television. We arrived a little late in the day and it was lovely to find a welcome pack of tea and coffee waiting for us. The property is very well appointed and, as with our last visit, thebeds were so comfortable we missed breakast on more than one occasion!
Once again we were blessed with lovely weather during our stay and visited the Sunday Market at Langais which is a truly wonderful experience and allowed us to purchase our fresh fruit and vegetables for our visit. Saumur and Le Mans are both lovely places to visit given both sight seeing and shopping opportunites tigether with many lovely pavement cafes.
We just love this property so much and cannot recommend it highly enough as a quality self catering accommodation at an affordable price. Looking forward to our third visit!

Spacious well equipped accommodation furnished to a high standard. Due to being the first rentals of the new season we did have a few teething problems i.e no satellite signal, unable to use brand new hob etc but caretakers did their best to help out.
Gite is in lovely rural away from it all setting but also not too far from other places of interest.
Loved the Master bedroom sky-light window giving the effect of sleeping under the stars!
Overall good value for money and I would recommend to a friend
Owner reply:
Thanks to Tracey providing this feedback.
We have provided suitable pans for the new hob (induction system) and upon inspection found the Sky amplifier wires had been moved around by a previous visitor causing this problem. The problem is now fully corrected and the information was greatly appreciated as this ensures future guest benefit from the amendments made.
Thank you Tracey and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

This is a wonderfully restored house with all modern amenities. Superbly spacious yet warm. Located in a wonderful, quiet, rural setting, but close to many many wonderful attractions in Saumur, Amboise, Chanonceaux, Tours, Fontevraud, etc. etc. The beds are new and very comfortable. Bathrooms are large and well appointed. Excellent value for the money. A gem! As they say on Ebay: A++++ Would rent again!!!

Well what can you say about Le Bois? If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful and tranquil holiday – you’ve found it yet you are near enough to many beautiful Chateaux, typically beautiful French towns with much to do, and generally no more than 45 minutes from the gite.
The Loire Valley is one of the nicest places we have ever been to and as for the gite you will want for nothing.
We will certainly be back again.
