This was a glorious retreat for our whole family from aged 51 years to aged 7 years. For starters the wecome pack and the welcome were both very generous. The photos of the Gite do not do it jutice it is very spacious, light and comfortable. The Gite is in a perfect french setting with the grounds spacious, tranquil and private. The bedrooms were perfect, the pool was lovely and there is every aminity you need in the gite. The town is quiet but it is a nice stroll to the town and it has a bakery and restaurant. There is so much to do that by car takes between 10 to 25 mins. We were there for a week and were not able to do everything. Which means we will be back. Jan and Nigel are perfect hosts! At times we did not know that they were there and amazingly (like Mary Poppins) they are there when you do.They are kind and will help with anything you need. As my 7 year old says EVERYONE needs a Nigel!

Our expectations of Chez John were exceeded when we actually arrived. It is a beautiful ,tranquil haven lovingly kept by Nigel and Jan. The Gite was amazing full of everything you need and more, the pool was great and there were plenty of things to discover and watch in the kept gardens. Nigels and Jans help was invaluable and their recommendations were right on the button. We have a very enjoyable two weeks and look forward to returning there in the very near future.

There were 5 of us in total. Myself, Husband, daughter, father and sister. The Gite proved to be an exceptional find which Jan and Nigel have lovingly decorated . It is beautiful and the “welcome package” is more and above what any one would expect! We really did not need for anything. They are exceptional hosts and really try to help you have a good holiday by providing excellent knowledge of the surrounding areas (and the weather forecast from their computer!!). Nigel was more than happy to let us follow him to the market so we would be able to find parking and not get lost!! The garden is really pretty and really nice to sit out in the evening to have supper, there is a BBQ available. They have provided a couple of shaded areas either by the house or near the pool. The pool is marvellous! There is so much room in it and my daughter had fun in it every day! Jan and Nigel have lots of floats and toys to entertain the children in the pool (and adults a like!!). The village is only a short (slow) 20 min walk away. All flat. A nice walk in the morning to get your fresh bread for breakfast. The main supermarket is only a 10 min drive. As we enjoyed this holiday so much, and there is so much more to see than we could fit in for one week, we will defiantly come again next year.

We had a fantastic holiday at Chez John and it was ideal for us with a 12 month old baby. Grandparents joined us a week later too. The accommodation was superb - the lovely pics here dont even do it justice! The pool is huge, accommodation very clean and beautifully decorated/furnished, garden(s) are peaceful and stunning to walk around (lots of shaded areas too) and the local area is relaxed and inviting. Theres loads to do in the surrounding are if you want but we found the relaxed atmosphere made us want to chill out by the pool most days... We would definitely like to return in the near future. Nigel and Jan (and Bentley the dog) are a lovely, inviting family who really go out of their way to ensure you have a nice stay. The only negative is that Im now sitting at work and the pictures on the site are making me miss being there! :) Merry, Kenny and baby Michael

We had a fantastic time at this property and didnt want to leave. It was like being home from home.It truly exceeded all of our expectations. Jan and Nigel, and of course Bentley the dog, made our holiday special, they were the perfect hosts and ensured we had everything we needed. The welcome pack on arrival was just what we needed and more! Without hesitation, we would recommend this Gite to anyone.

This was the most relaxing, tranquil holiday my family and I have had in years. The location is stunningly peaceful, with the only sound of the neighbours chickens and the garden crickets to be heard, it was awesome! The gite itself was perfect, with a welcome pack of bread and other everday provisions in place after our long journey, including some fantastic local wine! Jan, Nigel and Bentley are the most agreeable hosts, the pool was warm and clean, and very welcome after days out. Lots to see and a visit to Branton is a must. Looking to book again next year!
