400 metres up a private track, this traditional cottage offers privacy and seclusion in its own natural grounds of one acre. The house has been carefully decorated and furnished in keeping with its character, but has all modern amenities. Its thick walls ensure the house is cool in summer and warm in winter. The property boasts magnificent views of both sunrise over the Taygetos mountains, and sunset over the surrounding countryside and the Bay of Messinia. Real peace and quiet, yet just 10 minutes away from the nearest beach, and with local village amenities of a mini market, bakery and taverna. Many tavernas and shops are to be found in surrounding villages. The ancient sites of Sparta, Olympia, Mystra, and Epidavros are all within an easy day trip.

The picture postcard fishing port of Kitries and the beach are only 6 km away. Here you can safely swim, snorkel and sunbathe,. There are also excellent tavernas here.
Nearby are the famous resort areas of Stoupa and Kardamyli and the beach of Kalogria with its invigorating springs running into the sea is also close by.
This truly is unknown Greece, ideal for long country walks, or for walking in the foothills of Mount Taygetos, particularly in Spring and autumn when the flowers are at their best and the temperature is ideal. Guided and self guided walks are available as is mountain biking and horse riding and these can all be booked separately when here. Taygetos is the second highest mountain on the Greek mainland and on its summit Profitis Ilias on the 19th of July each year there is a festival where thousands of people gather to celebrate and watch the sun rise the next day.
