Breathtaking views

Villa Olivia is situated on a hill with olive grooves with a spectacular view on the bay of Finikunda, on the south-western tip of the Peloponnese in the province of Messinia a harmony of peace and beauty.

The nearest sandy beach ( Mavrovoumi) is one of the favorites for many people and it can be reached by foot in 20 minutes and in 5 minutes by car. Besides there are many little bays with beautiful, unusual beaches.
The nearest village is Finikunda (2,5 km) scattered with small, often authentic tavernas and restaurants, right at the shore.

You can visit the premontary in Methoni, a crumbled castle overlooking the expansive seas or you can visit the ancient site in Pylos, previously a monastry, now a well-kept open-air museum. For a small fee you can spend hours in contemplation and stillness. Also the castles of Methoni and Koroni are worthwhile. Furthermore there are historical sites like Mystras, Old Messini, Olympia and Nestor's palace in Hora that are all easy to reach.

The 40 km of coast between Roumanou and Koroni, through Voidikilia, Pylos and Methoni, let me tell you, is breathtaking!. It is the last region in Europe that isnt yet spoiled by mass-tourism. Lovers of sailing, surfing and diving come here from everywhere to enjoy their passions.

We had the warmest welcome from Bruno and Sabine, they were kind and generous hosts without being intrusive in any way. The apartment was clean, well equipped and had stunning views. We had the most relaxing week and would recommend it highly

We had a very agreable and relaxing stay. Thank you Sabine and Bruno for your attention and our rich and interesting exchanges. Maybe these moments are also moments of happiness? We treated ouselves on watermelon, tomatoes, melons, oranges...and... the Italian pasta was delicious. We hope to see you again maybe in Bretagne (France).

The evenings with moonlight in between these silver-like hills, the chant of the owl and the cricket, an ideal spot to relax and to feel closer to the "infinite".
