Was quite pleased with the Emerald. The owner is very proactive during the booking period and extremely helpful with recommendations etc. Staff at the Novotel were very good. There are two reasons I did not rate the Emerald Penthouse as excellent, 1. The aircon took approximately 12 hours to cool the place. The fan, even on high setting pushes very little air. The aircon units themselves are very old and should be replaced. 2. Every time I inser ted a plug in a wall socket, there were sparks. I would guess that the electrical system is not grounded. Within the first hour of my stay, the electrical system shorted out a battery charger for one of my electronic devices rendering it useless for the remainder of my stay.

This penthouse is excellent value for money with 4 big rooms and king size beds in each. The decor is fabulous and it is great to have all the room of a house on holidays. The kitchen and laundry are also handy when you have small children. We had a few small electrical problems that were sorted out very quickly by the hotel staff. We will be going back again as it was such good value and a great spot to base yourself from.

All of the descriptions and reviews were accurate, we had 2 adults and our 4 kids stay for 10 days in early Dec 2011, was perfect. The instructions and contacts list left by the owners were comprehensive and no issues were experienced.The outdoor shower in the ensuite to main bedroom was GREAT. The hotel ammenities were fine and the staff typically Balinese. Food and drink was good value for money in the hotel with Happy Hour being a favourite from 6 to 7.30pm, also and the myriad of restaurants at the Bali Collection and outside Nusa Dua estate were more than adequate. Reflexology for 35,000 IDR or AUD4 for 45 mins was a dream just near the Circle K. Pondok the driver was perfect although his prices as compared to others was on the high side, but he was always available and fun to be with, like a tour guide/driver in one.

The property was great value for money and very accurately described. All the resort facilities were available to us as guests of the apartment. I wish we could have stayed longer.
I have already recommended this apartment to lots of friends as we were very impressed.

Perfect location as it is away from the main road. The view of the golf course then ocean is fantastic. It is truly an emerald in paradise !!! The hotel facilities were equally wonderful and helpful. The owner was so easy to deal with. I would recommend this property anytime - value for money!!!!

The penthouse was a delight to stay in, it was very spacious, and well maintained. All facilities as described, we felt like personal guest in the penthouse and are already looking to book it again the next time we go to Bali, it is amazing value for what you get.

The property is wonderful with plenty of space for a family or a number of couples. The pictures on the website truly reflect the quality of the apartment and its layout. It is excellent value for money given what you would pay for two adjoining rooms elsewhere and yet you have the benefit of a kitchen (could use a dishwasher though!), laundry, lounge room etc.
The apartment is a strange mix of self catering and hotel which has great advantages. You can get room service at any time but also have your privacy.
The owner of the apartment is extremely helpful and accommodating and even though we had some maintenance issues when we arrived (one air conditioning unit and jacuzzi were not working), she was fast and efficient in dealing with the problems appropriately. My only suggestion would be to have a clear list, posted perhaps on the fridge, of the people to contact when things do go wrong. Due to the dual nature of the property (i.e. property maintenace is not to be referred to the hotel) it is difficult to know underwhat circumstances to call housekeeping or the property manager. Even though these are provided by email before departure, a description of who to call and when would be great.
The owner also provides a reference to a wonderful driver who we loved! He always had a clean car (even two hours after picking us up from the beach!), and we felt he was honest and trustworthy, which made taking long journeys far more enjoyable. He even enjoyed our five year olds constant chatter.
We would easily recommend this property, with the proviso that it is self catering - there are no hotel toiletries or supplies provided and if something goes wrong it can be a bit painful to sort out - but it is a wonderful family holiday and terrific value for money!

Accommodated 8 adults easily with space we could not even fill. Surprise balconies everywhere, I think 7 in total.Quality fittings and every conceivable thing you needed at your fingertips. Perfect for families or group of people and certainly excellent value. Independent yet with all facilities of a large resort.
Thoroughly recommend and would definately use again.

very relaxing, safe, clean environment. everyone enjoyed wives, grandma, kids and husbands all had something to excited about...
the food was great, the staff were very helpful, owner is very quick with replies to inquiries and vry pleasant to deal with.

The property was fantastic, great for a larger family get away. Will definatly use again.
The hotel access is great although the unit is also full self contained.
