Sciacca (40.000 people) one of the island's most picturesque coastal towns is a fishing port untouched by mass tourism. Situated on the archaeological road between Selinunte and Agrigento in Sicily, it is one of the oldest towns in the island.
With a coastline of 30 kilometres, Sciacca offers the visitor the greatest imaginable variety of marine environments: wide sandy beaches, sheer cliffs and remote tiny beaches.
Sciacca is also a very important tourist destination for its artistic ceramic works, architecture, churches and monuments.

The south western part of Sicily, is often referred to as African Sicily, both for the climate and the proximity to the Tunisian coast. This part of the country boasts some of the most extensive olive and grape production in Sicily, so the local oil and wine are not to be missed!
San Marco beach, is ‘Bagno-style’ which means serviced beach areas – which given the amenities they provide are fair value deck chairs, umbrellas, sunbeds and changing facilities with shower... and of course, a loo; some have little bars where they serve a snack lunch.
The beaches, only 6 miles away, have opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and have panoramic views of the coast for miles away. Sea water is usually on the cool side due to the channel stream.
Biking, trekking and boat trips can be taken from the harbour and there is a good beach 6 mile out of town.

The house:
Casa Lucchese is a spacious free standing Farmhouse (240 sq.mt on two stories) located at a beautiful and breath taking rural location, approx 6 km out of town, 9 km to the beach.
The property covers an area of perhaps 10 acres -(olive, almond, apricots trees) all told.
The main entrance of the house takes you directly into the open-plan living/dining area with open fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen. Full bathroom (shower, basin, bidet, WC, washing machine). One double bedroom.
The property is fully equipped for comfortable self catering,(including linen, towels and blankets) Sat.TV, DVD, Stereo, wi-fi.
The upstairs:
under a sloping roof with exposed beams and floor boards, with beautiful view over the valley below stands a large air conditioned landing converted into a spacious study and a double bedroom . A small lobby leads to the third double bedroom, a triple bedroom (3 single beds) and to the second full bathroom (bathtub, basin, WC).

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a north facing garden, a north facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

Nothing but praise for this superb property , in a lovely location with fantastic views across the valley . Just the place to get away from it all , while at the same time providing all modern day "essentials" like satellite tv , music system and the internet . Will definitely re-visit and would definitely recommend it to others .

We had a most enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Casa Lucchese lived up to our expectations. It is very well equipped from satellite TV to a comprehensive music CD collection. Salvatore & Pascale were very helpful in suggesting places to visit, the best beaches etc. Any problems were immediately sorted out. The beaches we visited were great family beaches as they were clean, uncrowded and safe for our 6 year olds. The local restaurants were all to a good standard and very reasonably priced. We learnt a lot of Italian during our stay as not much English is spoken - not a bad thing though. We would definitely visit again.

The house was extremely well equipped and spacious and perfectly satisfactory for our family of 11 persons representing three generations. The surroundings breathtakingly beautiful. The owners were extremely helpful. At our late arrival they provided us with food for the first meals as well as towels to be used at our baths at the sandy beaches.

Casa Lucchese was spacious, well-equiped and very comfortable. The views from the patio were breathtaking. Salvatore and Pascal went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We had a large group ranging in age from 4 to 82 --- and we all agreed that this was the best vacation ever! I would highly recommend a stay at Casa Lucchese.

A wonderful house on a wonderful location. Everything you need is there, and more. Beautifully furnished house, including the terrace (the only thing we missed was a parasol). The yard is great, we picked lots of almonds. Thanks Salavatore and Pascale, you were very kind and helpful, we felt really welcome from the first day. We will surely come back here some time (one week is really too short!) and recommend it to our friends.

After we got back to Switzerland safely last Friday I would like to
thank you again for the warm welcome and your kind hospitality.
We all enjoyed our stay at Casa Lucchese immensely. The setting in the
valley and the house itself are most beautiful and has a calming effect
on people. All of us intend to come back some time and hopefully for a
longer period than just for one week. With pleasure, we will recommend
Casa Lucchese to friends of ours who intend to visit Sicily.

We were 4 artists in Sciacca to paint and the veiws from the property were very,very beautiful, We all would have loved to spend a second month. Pascale and Salvatore were so kind and generous with their time and really took care of us during our stay. Starting with a tour of Sciacca and always making sure we got to our destinations by the best route. Palermo. Monreale, Selinunte and Piazza Armerina, the beautiful beach @ Ereclea Minoa

The property and location were excellent, exceeding our expectations in every way. A secluded lane in through beautiful country side, surrounded by olive, almond and pomegranate trees. And the owners were very gracious, providing olive oil from the surrounding grove that was a definite highlight of the trip!
