Other places in Xaghra
Review by Tracey from Whaley Bridge
Xaghra So peaceful you can hear a pin drop! Beautiful architecture to house beautifully friendly people.
Surrounded by lush scenery, perfect for walkers as this is an ideal base for exploring the island.
Marsalforn, Ramla Bay, Xewkeja and even Rabat
(Victoria) are all in walking distance but if you're feeling lazy try the bus or taxis.
Beware of travel guides describing the town square as surrounded by bars and restaurants though!
We were not expecting Times Square but we did expect a little more nightlife than we found and this was purely down to the guide books! What we did find was three eateries and 2 bars! If that's your bag I recommend you try Xaghra.
There are plenty of shops dotted round the town including an excellent bakery (the cakes are to die for!)but don't expect them to be open at your convenience.
So for a relaxing holiday with family or friends centred round the pool in a beautiful farmhouse conversion you can't get much better than Xaghra on the stunning island of Gozo.
