Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with the family. Sala the house manger was the best, looked after us very well and organised any activity that we wanted to do. I recommend the camel ride, and quad bikes. The property is located in a convenient place. The best thing about the property was that it was located close to a traditional mosque, and one could absorb the splendour of the local peoples steadfastness in the 5 daily prayer of Islam. Latifa the house maid was just a charm. She cooked us very good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, and some traditional Moroccan dinners. She was very kind and courteous during our stay and always eager to help with anything. Altogether a very enjoyable holiday made more special by Latifa, Salah, and a well kept Villa in a very charming part of Morocco.

This has been a fabulous stay. The house is great the locality is charming.
I can heartily recommend this as a winter holiday (and perhaps summer too?) - and I shall be doing so when I write about it in the Sunday Telegraph travel section. The article will appear in about 4NJ months: see www.telegraph.co.uk (and search Gimlette)
Thank you to the Lock family for making this trip work. It’s been thoroughly enjoyable (our 4 year old has loved it too!)

Dar Edouard is a lovely home from home right in the centre of town, yet quiet and peaceful. It has all the character and style of an authentic Moroccan rhiad while providing modern creature comforts in the form of excellent beds, good linen and hot showers.
We soaked up the winter sunshine in the daytime on the roof terrace, sipping delicious orange juice freshly squeezed, and warmed ourselves by the cosy fire in the evenings with a bottle of local wine.
Altogether it was a most relaxing holiday which totally recharged our batteries.

We had a short stay in this extraordinarily beautiful and well planned house the perfect retreat from the crowded liveliness of the medina around it. On first impressions Essaouira is complex, compact and incredibly varied, there is every chance of getting lost but none of being bored!

Had a wonderful time, lots of good weather and bargains. Made lots of friends. People here are of good manners and beautiful smiles. Hafida cooked us a lovely tagine dish which we all thoroughly enjoyed and was always hepful. As was my "sideeq" Salah whom we enjoyed being in company with. A perfect holiday with many thanks to all. An amazing house. Loved the roof terrace and had a great time wandering round the town. Lovely beach and fantastic weather helped make a great holiday in a very comfortable house.
