The resort

Holiday resort Vila Senhora da Rocha lays in a fantastic location on a cliff plateau above the ocean and above the fine sandy beach of Nossa Senhora da Rocha. The beautiful beach is accessed through a stair along the cliff. Armacao de Pera and its shopping facilities and restaurants is 3 km away. Nearest shopping facilities, restaurant and tennis court are 200 m distant.
The stylish resort is implanted in a park with 13 ha, and includes reception, restaurant and mini market with bakery. In the well cared gardens guests have access to three swimming pools, in different levels (two saltwater, one freshwater), a covered and heated swimming pool, solarium, loungers and parasols.

Townhouse V2 (sleeps 5 persons): 77 m² living area, tastefully decorated, with a living room with sofa bed and dining area, one double bedroom, one twin room, equipped kitchenette, bathroom, balcony or terrace, heating and open fireplace, satellite TV (fee applies), safe and terrace (roof) with BBQ.

Maid service (kitchenette not included) 5x per week, bed linen and towels change 2 x per week.
Between others, children have a playground and a separate children pool. Children club available during high season.
Sport (fee applies): 3 synthetic tennis courts and bicycles rental. New PADI diving centre "Scuba Tour" with a wide choice between school and dives.
Courtesy shuttle bus 5x a day (except Sundays) to Armação de Pêra. A car is strongly recommended.


Armacao de Pera
For many centuries, Armacao de Pera was essentially a small village, inhabited by fishermen, who had been drawn there by the great abundance of fish, particularly tuna and sardines. After salting, the fish was sold for consumption in the southern and central regions of Portugal.

In the eighteenth century, as a defence against frequent attacks by pirates, a prosperous fishing-boat owner sponsored the building of a small fortress on top of a hill overlooking the sea. The chapel inside this fortress, dedicated to Saint Anthony, also dates from this period.

Nowadays, fishermen can still be seen engaging in their typical activities on the beach at Armacao de Pera. Holidaymakers are also drawn to this area by the great expanses of white sand and warm water, so that the village has a lively, colourful and, above all, cosmopolitan look.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, a barbeque, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
