What a beautiful location Casa Trigosa is in! Arrival and location instructions were excellent and Maria popped in shortly after our arrival to make sure we had everything we needed.
We found the terrace apartment to be everything it was portrayed to be in the photos and description. Well set up, gorgeous view of the beach which was just a short walk down the stairs.
We had a lovely time in Lagos, hot air ballooning, Grotto tour and River tour and having such a nice home base to come back to made it so much more enjoyable.

We loved our stay at Casa Trigoso, the staff was great, they were there when we needed them, otherwise we had complete privacy. The location cannot be beat, right on Dona Ana Beach and a short stroll into Lagos center. The apartment was clean, roomy and had eveything you could possible need, including a washer and dishwasher. We spent many hours on the the huge patio over looking the ocean and studying the seagull chicks. BBQ-ing our fresh fish from the market and enjoying a bottle of wine and olives during sunset will be what we remember most. We will be back and recommend Casa Trigoso as a supurb vacation accomodation. Thank you familja Trigoso!

Charming property, with stunning views, has an old-fashioned charm of its own, and felt as though we were staying at the home of a family member. The apartment was spotlessly clean and, because of the use of what we presume were items of furniture & kitchen things that had belonged to the owner(s), felt very individual and not an impersonal holiday flat. It was beautifully quiet, which suited us, being pre-season, though there may be less peace during summer months because of the large apartment/hotel behind/to the side. This, incidentally, didnt spoil the wonderful views. We were more than happy to walk the 15 minutes into Lagos town and discovered a couple of scenic short-cuts close to the cliffs

We loved our 4 night stay in Casa Trigoso. The views over the sea from the bedroom, living room and terrace were outstanding. Despite having some large hotels nearby it felt very private and not overlooked at all. The terrace was a lovely, sheltered sun-trap so perfect for sunbathing even in January! The apartment was cosy, clean and welcoming and very well -equipped. The coast path running in either direction in front of the apartment was very beautiful - 2hours scenic walk west to Luz or 10mins into Lagos. We hope to come again soon! Nikolaus: "We spent very relaxing two weeks in Lagos. The apartment is fully stacked, clean and tastefully decorated exactly as pictured here. We enjoyed a lot of privacy even though Alex (who lives downstairs) was anxious to help whenever necessary. Lagos and the nearer environment are simply beautiful and provide a good balance between the touristic infrastructure and authentic portuguese atmosphere. There are really amazing cliffs next to the apartment!"

Rented for 5 nights during the first week of August 2011. The views are just as amazing as the photos suggest. The apartment is spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. The kitchen might be small but has everything you would need. Literally walk out of the building and down the steps to a gorgeous beach. Other beaches are easily accessible. An easy walk into the centre of Lagos. The terrace was also beautiful. Owners are very responsive to any questions or concerns. Highly recommended.

The apartment location is the best possible, the beach is few meters away. Rooms are spacious and everything you need is present. View from the terrace, even through the windows is lovely. The apartment is also very private, nobody can see into the apartment and the half of terrace, there was also absolutely no traffic during the night.
Definitely recommended, the only discomfort was the bed, which was too small for 195cm man.

We had an amazing holiday staying for three weeks at Casa Trigoso. The apartment is in a perfect location overlooking Dona Ana beach, and within walking distance of the town centre and all the lovely restaurants and attractions.
It is traditionally furnished with mod cons, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We particularly loved the terrace, which was large enough for sunloungers, chairs, tables and a barbeque- and the remote control cover that extends when it was too hot was a godsend!
Both Rosa and Maria were incredibly helpful before and throughout our stay, and made us feel very welcome.
The Portuguese are so friendly and we were made to feel very welcome by everyone in Lagos and intend to return to Casa Trigoso very soon!

We have just returned from a wonderful week in the lovely first floor apartment at Casa Trigosa. We felt at home from the moment we arrived amd were made to feel so welcome by Maria, who had bought bread, cheese, wine and cakes for us to enjoy on our first evening. The flat has everything needed for a relaxing break and the location is perfect. The area was very peaceful (although I imagine it is much busier in the height of summer) and the private terrace is a fantastic sun trap. The views from all the windows are beautifull and it is worth rising early to catch the magnificent sunrises. We will definitely return in the future.

By: Ailla WMarias flat is absolutely beautiful. Its sea views and tasteful Portuguese decor provide the perfect setting for a relaxing beach holiday. The outside patio is lovely and the kitchen is fully equipped. Walking distance to beaches (minutes), restaurants and a mini-market (minutes) and downtown Lagos (about fifteen minutes). No need for a car. Maria was such a kind and helpful hostess- from when we first communicated with her about booking to the end of our stay. She went above and beyond to help us in planning our trip and enjoying Lagos. An example- she greeted us at the bus station and drove us right to the flat! We highly recommend staying here!

By: Marion RWe had such a wonderful time at Marias beach home in Lagos. The view from the apartment was breathtaking and the home itself was very lovely. The house is in an amazing location right near Dona Ana beach, and within walking distance of town. We enjoyed the place so much, and didnt want to leave Lagos. Maria was also a great host. She was very helpful at a distance from the moment we made the booking and also met us in Lisbon to help us plan our trip to Lagos. The house was easy to get to find and Maria gave us clear directions and good tips for enjoying our beach holiday. Maria was very friendly, helpful and available. I would highly recommend Marias place in Lagos and she is an excellent host.

The communication from Maria (directions, advice about local facilities etc) was brilliant, so even before we arrived I felt assured all would rum smoothly. And it did - she was waiting with the key, the apartment was spotless, and even better than described.
The sea views were gorgeous. Location brilliant, short walk to a few beaches or into the town of lagos. The apartment was really charming, lots of personal touches and anything you could need for cooking.

"Some 38 years ago we spent a first week-end in Maria's very charming and comfortable house over Dona Ana beach. Since then we have stayed there countless times in any season with the same feeling of awe. Watching the sunrise from the terrace is unforgettable! I'm not a early bird but, believe me, if you see it once you'll become addicted! :)
I strongly recommend the house for holidays.

A delightful property, literally a stones throw from the beach, and so much more authentic that the nearby apartment blocks. Lovely seafood restaurant nearby, and owner was very helpful- actually gave us the larger apartment to give us more room.
I would recommend this place without reservation.
