We stayed at this Villa for the second time this year - it is amazing!
We had a large group and the villa had plenty of space for everyone.
The setting is beautiful and the villa has everything you need.
The villa owners did everything that they could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable and were so friendly.
The villa is excellent value for money too as it can accommodate such a big group and is so well kept and furnished.
Well hopefully be back next year again!

Centrally located in a small village (Varzea de Sintra) in the attractive Lisbon area. Groceries/bakery at walking distance. Close by car to the historic center of Sintra and great views on the several palaces of Sintra. 20 minutes drive to Lisbon/Belem with free parking or 40 minutes conveniently by train to the city center. 15 minutes to the nice fishing village of Cascais with great beaches and a less rough ocean. If youre up to surfing then Playa grande is perfect.
The villa (Casa Grande) is in a great condition and has all the facilities you need with a small group. Entertainment (swimming pool, billiard, table tennis, tv/dvd, wifi etc. etc.), nice kitchen (+outside barbecue), washing machine and several bedrooms with enough closets for your clothes. The bathrooms were nice and clean with spacious showers.
The owners were kind, helpfull and flexible.

The villa was ideally located for our needs. We enjoyed the very relaxing, away from it all, countryside feel, however, also appreciated and benefited from the relatively close proximity of Sintra and Lisbon. We were a group of 16, including 7 children and we all had many fabulous days and evenings on the grounds making full use of the facilities. The grounds and swimming pool are fully enclosed which gave the children a lot of freedom and gave the adults peace of mind.
The owners of the property were extremely welcoming and approachable and generously supplied us with some basic provisions for our arrival.
The whole party was more than satisfied with every aspect of this property and would recommend it unreservedly.

This house is amazing! We went with a large group of friends for the weekend and it was fab! The property is huge and the facilities are great. I would definately recommend hiring a car and a Sat Nav for getting there and around though. It would be ideal for groups or families and great facilities for kids.

We cannot praise this property enough. We were 3 families: six adults and 7 teenage children and were never short of space. The villa is set in its own ample grounds: pleasant, well maintained gardens. with a marvellous view of Sintras hillside, dotted with its palaces and castles. The early evening skyline is spectacular. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean, modern and roomy. The indoor and outdoor dining areas easily accomodated all of us the living room large and comfy though we didnt spend much time there. The swimming pool is large enough for a good swim, and deep enough for tall people to dive into. Theres also a full size table tennis table outside which for us was an excellent source of fun in those idle moments between pool,beach and meals. Local butcher and grocer were excellent and friendly. We were all agreed that we would be more than happy to return, and came away feeling we had enjoyed the comforts of a familys large and comfortable home.

This house not only met our expectations, it was more than we expected. The description was fairly accurate, but the house is better than described. It has lots of space, both inside and outside, its very nicely decorated. The owners were very nice and provided the house with everything we could need. In cold weather we think the house would improve greatly if central heating is implemented as the house is too large to be heated by two fireplaces and some spare heating devices. But we certainly would recommend this house to friends.
