Just as described, lovely decor and spacious. Owner was more than helpful and on hand after missing our flight from Stansted. A much needed welcome pack in house when we arrived. Hope to return again.

We have just returned after a fantasic week at this villa. There were 8 people in our group ranging all ages. The setting of the villa in the old village is perfect.. 10 steps from the garden and you are in the pool. there is a pool bar which proveds good value drinks na food. If you prefer you can sunbathe in the garden or on the roof terrace. If you prefer 10 steps from the front door is the O Cafe providing breakfasts from 9am (english breakfast with tea, coffee or juice just 5 euros) lunches and evening meals. There are a few other places to eat and drink. For 4 euros you can jump in a taxi and go the the marina which is always a delight to return to. All of our group agree that we have had a fantastic holiday in a fantastic villa and will be returning. Finally a big thank you to yvonne for arranging the transfers, welcome pack and always available for help and advice.

We stayed at this property for 9 nights and the house more than exceeded our expectations. There were 5 adults and 2 children in our party so we had plenty of space. The location of the house is ideal as the garden gate opens directly to the pool, ideal for nipping back to the house for bits and bobs without having to use the pool passes. The pool was perfect for the children as the deep end was roped off separately. Yvonne arranged the transfers for us all and they ran like clockwork. It was our first stay at the Old Village and it certainly wont be the last - we cant wait to go back!

This has been our 4th stay at this superb 5 bed townhouse, in the most beautiful setting of the Old Village. As always, the house is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and surprisingly spacious - even with 10 adults sharing! Once again, Yvonne pre-arranged our Taxi Transfers, which once again ran perfectly and on time. A welcome pack on arrival which includes Tea, Coffee, Milk, Water, Sugar, Bread, Butter, Biscuits and most importantly when your just arrive - 10 bottles of Beer! The townhouse faces onto the large swimming pool and can be accessed from the garden, Id say that it is the best located house on the entire complex. The Old Village Inn & Zanzibar restaurants are litterally yards away and serve excellent meals. Great breakfasts can be had at the OCafe Bar. The pleasant downhill walk to the marina takes no longer than 15 mins. and then take a Taxi back for only 4 euros.

This property was booked as a surprise by my partner for my 40th Birthday for a girly get away. 10 of us arrived on 3 Sept 2010 and we certainly werent disappointed. The property was clean, modern and very spacious. All the bedrooms were light and airy and each bathroom was finished to a high standard. The patio area was large enough to seat 10 people and there was a gate that led you from the patio to the pool area. The pool and surrounding area is very clean and there are enough sun loungers (although there is a small charge for these). Having stayed at the Old Village the previous year I knew my way around. The complex itself has everything to offer, there is a supermarket on your doorstep and enough bars and restaurants to choose from if you decide not to go into Villamoura. Villamoura is a 10 minute stroll or you can catch the little train from the Old Village that takes you on a small tour and down to the Marina! The Marina itself is busy with many restaurants, bars and shops. There is also a fabulous beach if you fancy a lazy day. All in all the property, complex and resort was an excellent choice, and I know that I will return to this beautiful villa and complex for many years to come.

I wanted a house where myself and my sister, neither of whom feel comfortable driving abroad, could stay with our kids, with everything we needed within safe walking distance. The house was perfect for this. The supermarket is literally behind the house and there are bars and cafes everywhere. And of course the lovely pool, right outside our front patio. The house was ideal, not luxurious, but perfectly adequate for our needs, and immaculately clean. I would definitely return to this house.

Have been visiting The Algarve for over 25 years we needed a large property to accommodate my wife, children and grand children for a family reunio n attended by 40 people. The villa was in an excellent position and was able to cope with visits from a fare proportion of the attendees. The owner helped with advice prior to our visit and met us on arrival. We cannot speak more highly of the service provided and highly recommend the property.

Stayed here for a week with my Family. The Accomodation was excellent. We really couldnt fault it. All amenities are on your doorstep so you never had to walk far for a meal or a drink. The Old Town itself is extremely well maintained. Great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. The Marina is about 1.25 miles away so if youre looking for a bit of nightlife this is also only a short walk away. Our Hostess Yvonne was also brilliant. Extremely helpful. Overall a great holiday and will definitely think about booking for next year

This is a different kind of review as our party did not actually make it to the Villa due to the flight disruptions in relation to the Volcanic Ash episode. The reason that I felt it necessary to post the review was that in all dealings that we had with Yvonne in relation to the booking she was most helpful and accommodating. She arranged the transfer from the airport and was able to make last minute changes at our request. She was so understanding and helpful when we were not able to make it to Portugal, even when under the terms and conditions she did not strictly have to refund our money for the Villa she arranged to do so given the unique circumstances. There are not many people these days that would even consider doing that and I cant thank her enough. As such I would be urging all my friends and family to use her Villa, plus will aim to rebook our group at the earliest opportunity.

Great location with no need to leave the complex if you didnt want, although the marina is only a 10 minute walk and the taxis are cheap and reliable. The townhouse was great - right by the pool and plenty of room for 10 girls (including shoes, make up, clothes etc etc etc!!). Yvonne was very helpful and the welcome pack was great. Having the supermarket so close was fantastic as well.

Loved the property and the location. Exceeded all expectations. Travelled as part of a party of 9 people from age 16 to mid 50s and everyone was catered for (mix from 4 families). Property was excellent, very well laid out and in a great location. it is very close to the main supermarket which was very good and represented good value for money with a great choice of everything we needed. At the front door the cafe was really good serving a great choice of food to cater for everyones taste and represented good value for money. Would recommend this property to families and groups of adults. The transfers were booked for us on request and worked really well and we arived to find a welcome pack which was well received. Yvonne was very helpful and overall this holdiay represented great value for money

The townhouse is extremely comfortable and furnished to a high standard throughout. The property is in an ideal location within The Old Village with views of the main pool. Yvonne is an excellent hostess and made us feel very welcome. She provided lots of good information about the area and was very keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We would have no hesitation in booking any of Yvonnes properties as we know they are all of the same high quality.

I booked this accommodation on behalf of my husband who had organised a golf trip for our sons 21st birthday. There were 9 men of various ages in the party and I chose this accommodation as it had 5 bedrooms all with single beds. They were all very impressed with the town house and facilities it provided. The location was superb, right by the main pool with shops & restaurants close by. I am only sorry that I was not invited. We will definately be keeping details of this accommodation for future trips.

Our 3rd stay at Yvonnes property at The Old Village in Vilamoura, and for the third time, a fantastic holiday was had. The airport transfers (arranged by Yvonne) were excellent and very punctual again! The townhouse was as always excellent, clean, tidy, and even with a party of 9 adults, the place is still spacious. The location of this property is just about as good as is possible. Looking out onto the beautiful main pool. The private roof terrace is a fantastic suntrap. The many bars and restaurants of the complex are all within a stones throw, and all offered excellent service, once again, we never had a complaint of any of the meals served, and when you have 9 adults to please - that is extraordinary. Within 5 days of arriving home, we have booked again for next October. Can hardly wait.

We had a fantastic time at the villa, and it benefitted backing onto the pool, whilst still being reasonably safe having a low gate in the back garden. Lots of space, bathrooms on every floor - there were 9 of us from 3 families and we all had plenty of space. Great for kids - pools with roped off shallow end, playground nearby within the complex, outdoor dining in car-free areas within the complex meant we could eat and watch them playing safely nearby. The villa location is very central to a few bars and restaurants, supermarket is only a few metres away and there is a small road train outside every hour or so to Villamoura (a fun trip, but quicker to drive or get a taxi!). Great showers in the bathrooms too! I would recommend the property to anyone looking for a good villa in a great complex, only around 5 minutes drive to the beach.

"This was our 2nd visit to The Old Village, having previously stopping at Yvonne's 3 bedroom townhouse with plunge pool. This time we spent a fabulous week at this superb 5 bedroom townhouse overlooking the complex's beautiful main swimming pool. Having stopped at Yvonne's other property, I knew what to expect, and tried to build it up for the 2 couples with us, who were here for their first visit. Everybody was amazed and it far exceeded their expectations. Beautifully furnished to very high standards, with 4 bathrooms that all put our own at home to shame! Yvonne once again made prior arrangements for our Airport transfer, and was at the complex for us upon arrival. Totally loved the place and will definately be going back again. Now, I think I will get in touch with Yvonne and try for an annual discount!"

Excellent accomodation and location. We stayed late November but weather still okay to walk around and plenty bars and restaurants within 10 minute walk. Did get a bit cold at night and villa would have benefited from having a couple of heaters! Overall though I would certainly recommend both the accomodation and location.

The property was in an Excellent location very close to all tha amenties of the Old village it was also very clean and tidy. And only short walk to the Marina and centre. Although it could have done with having some mirrors in the bedrooms as when you are sharing there was only one mirror in the bathroom. Overall an excellant holiday.

Fabulous property in great location. I stayed at the property with a group of 6 friends to celebrate a 30th birthday. The property was immaculately furnished and more than exceeded our expectations. The marina and beach were fab and with so much to do in the area this makes the ideal location for anything from a singles clubbing holiday (with lively nightlife in albuferia only 20 minutes away) to a lovely family holiday.
