Superb south facing luxury villa with sea views
Casa Rocqueberg is a luxury villa facing due south, completed early 2005 with accommodation all on one level. Excellent fixtures & fittings, and garden has been landscaped. Located in the Cumbre del Sol Magnolia residential area, our villa has an American-style kitchen with open plan dining and lounge areas with TV, DVD, CD player/radio. Log burner with convection fan, and wall mounted electric radiators, in living/dining area. Both living areas lead to the naya dining area and terrace alongside with stunning sea views. Shower room and WC. One double bedroom and one spacious twin room. Large fitted wardrobes and air con (warm/cold) in both bedrooms. The large sun terrace has the sun all day. The terrace also has a brick BBQ, dining area, sun loungers, and access to the private floodlit pool with roman steps . Cumbre del Sol is a developing urbanisation of luxury villas within a 5-minute drive of Moraira with its many shops, bars and restaurants. The sandy bay of El Portet is 2kms away with many more towns and attractions close by. Surrounded by mountains, green spaces and protected nature parks, right by the beautiful Mediterranean sea, the area has been awarded with the best climate of Continental Europe by the World Health Organisation. Good motorway links mean it is only a 1/1.5 hour drive from Alicante or Valencia airports. Close to Javea and Denia ferry ports with connections to the Balearic islands (35mins to Ibiza). Benidorm and its theme parks and endless facilities are approximately 40 minutes drive away. There is fell-walking, tennis, go-karting and horse-riding for the energetic and excellent golf courses approximately 10 minutes drive away. Local markets are a great source of clothing, shoes and leather goods and in coastal resort towns nearby you will find many elegant boutique.
Cumbre del Sol is a high quality, developing urbanisation, situated halfway between Moraira and Javea. It remains exclusively for villa owners and individuals who are looking for the independent holiday. The area has the best climate of continental Europe and is ideal for all year round visiting.
Whilst you will be staying by the sea with some of the finest beaches in Europe, you will be only 30/40 minutes drive away from the mountains and wonderful scenery and walks.
Locally there are many fine restaurants, bars, shops, wineries, historic buildings and celebrations. A car is essential.
Local Activities including golf
Water skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing, scuba diving. - Available on the larger of the beaches in Moraira and Javea. Safe shallow bathing at El Portet, especially for children - a sunshade is recommended as it is particularly exposed with no shade until late afternoon.
Fishing - Sea fishing available in Moraira - tuna, dorado, baracuda, conger, blue fish, spear fish and more... The tourist information board office in Moraira town can help you book.
Tennis/Horse riding/Cycling - Tennis available at Sol Park (5 minutes drive). Horse riding/cycling bookable at the Tourist Information Office in Moraira town.
Excursions - Themepark Terra Mitica (like Disneyworld), Aqualandia (super-slides), Mundomar (dolphins, seals) all at Benidorm, 40 minutes away.
Many golf courses available within easy drive of the villa make it the ideal base for your Golfing holiday.
We are ideally placed for golf - the nearest, Jávea GC is less than 5 minutes away. A 9-hole course, more difficult than it looks, has superb views of Montgó dominating Jávea (Green fees 18 holes Euros 50). Another 9 hole course is Golf Ifach (c.10 minutes, green fees 18 holes Euros 35). Towards Denia (c.15 minutes, green fees 18 holes Euros 70) is La Sella GC, a beautiful 18-hole course. Further afield (c.35 minutes) new course at Oliva Nova north of Denia (18-holes, designed by Ballesteros) & south of Valencia, the famous 18-hole championship links course at El Saler.
Many other courses to the south of Calpe, to and beyond Alicante.

OTHER FEATURES: The local railway (The Limón Express, single-track running from Denia to Alicante) stops at nearby Teulada & Gata providing a delightful ride to north or south (Denia or Altea, Benidorm and Alicante). The fabulous new Science & Oceanographic (5000 different fish) parks at Valencia make a spectacular days outing.
Rental information
No smoking allowed inside the Villa. Flexible arrival/departure days possible. Rental charge includes arrival clean, linen and towels, electricity, and weekly pool clean. A linen change on multiple week bookings will be provided within the rental charge. Please bring your own beach towels for pool and beach use. The property has steps from the car parking space down to the villa entrance so may not be suitable for people who find stairs a problem. The living accommodation, terrace, and pool area are all on one level.
Full property clean between lets. Kitchen is fully equipped. Furnishings throughout all new April 2005. The private pool enjoys all day sunshine. The terrace with plenty of room for sun beds and naya with BBQ makes a great outdoor eating area.
A camp bed can be accommodated in the twin room, to allow up to 5 people to stay.
Change over day is normally Saturday, though we are able to offer flexible arrival/departure days depending on availability. Villa is available from 16:00 on day of arrival, and must be vacated by 10:00 on day of departure. Longer term lets considered on special terms. Please contact the owner for details.
Rental charge includes arrival clean, linen and towels, and electricity, as well as a basic food welcome pack. A linen change on multiple week bookings will also be provided. We can arrange baby equipment at extra cost. 30% deposit of total rental to secure booking and balance 8 weeks before arrival date. Deposit only refundable if cancelled period subsequently let. A refundable security deposit of £150 required to cover losses and/or damage will be promptly repaid once confirmed by our local property agent. Rental prices are offered at a substantial discount on other similar properties in this area. This reflects the fact that Cumbre del Sol is a developing luxury urbanisation, and that there is likely to be an element of building activity in the nearby vicinity over which we have no control.
