CASA MARVISTA - is on The Costa Blanca which is situated on the east coast of Spain and is regarded as one of the most beautiful places in Europe. One of the reasons is that the W.H.O. considers this region to have one of the healthiest climates in the world with more than 320 days of sunshine and an average temperature of 22 degrees. The endless sandy beaches have given it its name Costa Blanca (the White Coast) The Costa Blanca stretches from the town of Denia in the north to Torrevieja in the south.
Costa Blanca in Spain offers all kinds of things to all tastes. The Costa Blanca is a paradise whether you like to stay on the beach the whole day, play golf or scuba dive in crystal clear waters. The nightlife features everything from a nice quiet dinner to party all night. Take your pick from quite Spanish villages were time seem to have stopped or skyscraper resort which never sleeps.

The relatively green and mountainous northern part of Costa Blanca is full of orange groves and olive trees. The southern part is drier and with the largest salt plants in Europe. A tour along the Costa Blanca will include international resorts and old Spanish towns starting in the beautiful town of Denia in the north with its castle and commercial centre mixed with the tourist industry. The next town on the list is Javea. Next stop is the fishing port of Moraira with its holiday villas beside its yacht marina. The beach resort of Calpe is next. Calpe is a modern beach resort but has an attractive old quarter and the distinctive Gibraltar-style Peñon de Ifach rock which dominates the skyline for miles around.



ATTRACTIONS ON THE COSTA BLANCA - FOR CHILDREN
Apart from Golf, Water Sports and numerous beaches available, the area also boasts, Bowling Alleys, Terra Mitica Theme Park, The Safari Animal Park, Aqualandia Water Park and Mundomar to name but a few that are all within around 30 minutes drive. Valencias impressive City of Arts and Sciences has the Europes largest Marine Park housing over 45,000 animals of 500 different species in the numerous underground aquariums. Terra Mitica – Spain´s largest theme park on the outskirts of Benidorm. The park features ancient Egypt,Greece,Rome,Iberia and the Islands and lost civilizations apart from thrill rides and great shows and street entertainment. Aqualandia – A 5 minutes drive from downtown Benidorm is a big watermark with a wealth of different slides and pool areas all within a beautiful garden. Mundomar- Close to Aqualandia features a marine life and animal park with all kinds of colorful creatures. The Jetty in the port of the Poniente beach is the place to book trips to the Benidorm Island were through glass bottomed boats you can see the local marine life. Includes bream, sunfish, barracuda, octopus, moray eels, colorful corals and lobsters and crabs.

Javea Golf Club (Javea) Tel Number 965792584 Located close to Javea, this is an ideal course for the summer heat as walking around the flat terrain, planted attractively with Mediterranean flora, requires minimal effort. Surrounded by pinewoods it is sheltered from the winter wind by Cape San Antonio and so has a wonderful climate in the winter months. A 9-hole course, it has been designed to challenge with 34 bunkers strategically placed along its length. The 5th hole at 475 metres is the longest to contend with, the 6th hole, a par 4, requires a precise drive to get around the difficult aspect, whilst the 7th at 140 metres is the shortest. The clubhouse has excellent facilities including two bars and a restaurant, there is also a driving range with 20 bays, 2 putting greens, a chipping area and a practice bunker. *********************************************************************** Ifach Golf Club (Moraira) Tel Number 966497114 Situated in Moraira and forming part of a country estate this golf course has spectacular views of the Rock of Ifach itself. Designed to be short and difficult, Javier Arana ensured there are plenty of obstacles that take advantage of the terrain along with narrow fairways and well placed bunkers. He also made sure that players would have to use the full range of their clubs and exercise control in the short game. An ideal length in the summer heat, 2 rounds can also be accomplished easily. The 60 par, 9 hole course is made up of 6 par 3s and 3 par 4s. Players short on time but who relish a challenge willl find this course to be deceptively tricky. Open all year, the course has a putting green and private lessons are available in English and Spanish. *********************************************************************** La Sella Golf Club (Denia) Tel Number 966454252 Situated on the slopes of a mountain lying next to the natural park of Montgo this 18-hole golf course with a par of 72 lies in a tranquil area. The Olive, Pine and Orange trees surrounding the course, whilst providing wonderful scenery, will catch out the less accurate players The course is suitable for all levels of players, and if you know how to use the full range of clubs then you should achieve a decent score. Jose Maria Olazabal designed 9 of the holes, some particularly thought provoking as if you miss the green, all the skills of Championship player are needed to get back on track. Should you feel your skills need updating a little, then private lessons are available at this all year round course. Other services include a driving range with 25 bays, a putting green and practice bunker. *********************************************************************** Oliva Nova Golf Club (Oliva - north of Denia) Tel number 962257666 Situated close to the resort town of Oliva, this course has top class golf facilities and was voted the best of all Seve Ballesteros designed courses. Ballesteros, said of this 18-hole, 72 par course "The Oliva Nova Golf Course offers great variety for all golfers. As it has short, medium and long holes as well as right and left hand dog leg fairways. A true but fair test for all golfers alike." Water plays a part in the difficulty of the course, with a number of lakes placed as obstacles along its 6,270 metres length. With 15 out of 18 holes effected in this way its not surprising that the Peugeot Oki Spanish National Championship has been held here on four occasions. Other facilities on site include a Golf Academy with a team of multilingual coaches, a driving range with 25 bays, two putting greens, two chipping areas and also two bunkers. The course is open all year. *********************************************************************** Don Cayo Golf Club (Altea) Tel number 965848046 Located in the foothills of the Sierra Bernia mountains, this 9-hole course is close to the pretty coastal resort of Altea with its historic old town clustered around the white-washed church. Opened in 1974, this fabulous little course was designed by the architects Pedro Barber and Gregorio Sands and is a very strenuous 72 par. The 5th, a 580 metre par 5, is a particularly difficult hole, as is the uphill 227 metre par 3 6th hole. Both of these alternate with recovery holes requiring precision to land the ball on the fairway. The 3rd hole is kinder and offers lovely sea views whilst from the 7th players can just make out the Marina Baixa and the mountains surrounding it. Open all year round and with 5 bays, it also has private golf lesson available in English, German and Spanish. *********************************************************************** Real de Faula Golf Club (Benidorm) Tel number 966813013 Designed by Jack Nicklaus these two 18-hole golf courses are suitable for all levels of player. Located in a pine filled valley with views to the sea and mountains it covers more than 80 hectares and is 6,612 meters in length. Nicklauss design of these US-style championship courses offers wide fairways, beautifully constructed greens and a measure of trickiness that keeps the most experienced player occupied. The Championship North golf course offers 18-holes with a par of 72, whilst the Executive South course has 18-holes and a par of 62. The clubhouse offers all the facilities players would expect.
