I was recommended this property but wasnt sure what to expect. I have been to many countries and stayed in various hotels and self catering apartments but never visitied Spain let alone in November!! The apartment was lovely. Brilliant view from the balcony, comfortable leather sofas, DVDs and some sky channels to watch when not out and about. The two bedrooms are spacious and the jacuzzi was a nice touch. The apartment was fully furnished. There are many restaurants and bars in the port- we didnt have to leave the area in the 5 days we were there. A range of italian, mexican, chinese and indian cuisine! The atmosphere was lovely as staff were friendly and welcoming. The weather was gorgeous-even caught a tan! There is a lovely pool in the apartment too but my boyfriend and I spent alot of time on the beach relaxing and reading. We also enjoyed english breakfasts at a little english cafe a minute away from the front door or the apartment. (Sitting outside drinking freshly squeezed orange juice in november at 10 in the morning-not something tou can do in england!) Overall I highly recommend this aparment and the area is lovely!! 10/10 Want to go back already

Overall, the apartment was nice - it was large and well equipped with everything that we could ask for including sky television and DVDs. The location was great to use as a home base to explore many areas along the Costa del Sol. We had expected a washer and dryer but the dryer was in fact an outdoor drying rack to hang your clothes to dry - not a big deal since we had dry sunny weather for our stay.

We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing weeks stay in this apartment late Marchy/early Aprril 2009. The accommodation is superbly equipped with everything that you could desire for a perfect holiday. For example, it was a little chilly especially in the evenings during our stay but that was quickly taken care of by the heater thoughtfully provided in the apartment. The layout of the apartment is perfect and, with the two high-quality en-suite bathrooms AND a guests cloakroom available, any stay here is sure to be first class. The access through the garage is a little unconventional but gives the feeling of extra security - and there are alternative entry points if needed. The location was perfect for strolling onto the Marina on an evening but our favourite was to go in the other direction to Castillo for a more authentic Spanish experience just a very short walk away. Whilst there we visited Estepona, Gibraltar, Sotogrande, Puerto Banus, Rhonda and the stunning white villages - all within easy driving distance from the apartment. As you can tell, we had a lovely time!

The apartment is first class,with all the comforts you could ask for. The position is great for the pool and beach and the door to the apartment block leads directly to the marina.

The apartment was very conveniently located for both the beach, and the marina. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and more spacious that we had thought it would be. It was very well supplied with towels, crockery, glasses, cooking utensils etc, and plenty of dvds, reading books, and also literature & information about things to do in the area. There was also things for the kids like a fishing net, rubber rings, snorkle etc. The pool area was clean and had enough sunbeds for us (in June). The beach was clean and had a beach bar just across the promenade. The rooms all overlooked the pools, with the beach and marina also in view. Very pleasant indeed. The air conditioning worked well and was nice and quiet! The marina was so close it was lovely in the mornings to go for a stroll, and in the evenings there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. There are only a couple of shops, and one small supermarket. There is also a good english butchers! The security of the apartments /underground parking, and pool area was very good. 24/7. Duquesa estates who manage the apartment were very helpful, and English. We had a very enjoyable stay.

I booked this appartment for me and my partner but we immediatley realised it would be ideal to take my mother away with us as the property has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. From the photo on the internet I knew roughly where the apartment was in relationship to the marina but I didn't know how convenient the access would be or how good the facilities. This was my fourth visit to Duquesa this year and so I knew the place pretty well, or so I thought. I had no idea this haven existed so close to the centre of Port Duquesa. We arrived at 1am Saturday morning and tentatively punched the code into Duquesa Estates night safe. No problem there was the envelope with our instructions, keys to the appartment and remote sensor for the underground car park. The instructions were fine except for the fact that they directed us clockwise to the entrance around the adjacent square, which is actually the wrong way around a one way system but not a problem. We awoke to glorious weather and the view from both bedrooms and the living room was fabulous. We overlooked a sparkleing blue pool surrounded by palm trees set in a lovely garden bordered by colourful shrubs and that stood out against the brilliant white of the appartment buildings. The view beyond the garden was of the beach and sea which was half framed by the huge rock boulders which formed the protective sea wall entrance to the marina. The harbour masters house and lighthouse tower were built on top of the wall and again were painted brilliant white. Good start eh! and we were equally impressed by the appartment and the appartment block. The main double bedroom had ample built in wardrobes and the ensuite was fitted with a Jacuzzi bath and shower. The twin bedded room had its own ensuite and again ample wardrobe space. Entrance hall with cloakroom toilet. Nice kitchen with adjoining utility area. Good sized living/dining room and balcony. Well positioned in the block to afford easy access to the garden and beach and car parking. Also the complex was very secure with access only granted by key. The entrance corridor was well lit and led through the building directly to a portal onto the marina, putting you within strideing distance from a vast array of quality restuarants and bars. This was a faboulous holiday and we enjoyed both the Duquesa port and complex and the convenient base it provided for our exploration of the area from the beach to the mountains and the Rock of Gibralter to Marbella old town. My father died six months ago and this was the first time in 57 years my mother had been away without him. She loved the whole holiday and felt comfortable in the appartment, she returned relaxed and refreshed and with a new perspective. We all loved it and will be back soon! Terry and Kerry.

THIS WAS DEFINATELY THE BEST HOLIDAY WE HAD HAD IN A LONG WHILE! THE APARTMENT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND SPACIOUS. THE ONLY MINOR COMPLAINT WE HAD WAS THAT MOST OF THE TIME THE POOL WAS FREEZING! THE AREA WAS GREAT AND THE RESTAURANTS ON THE MARINA SUPERB!! ESPECIALLY THE CHINESE (ON THE LEFT AS YOU'RE FACING THEM. MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT WE ARE NOT MANAGING TO RETURN THIS YEAR BUT HOPEFULLY NEXT YEAR!
