This property really made our summer holiday. It had everthing we wanted and more! It is a private idaho among the mountains but with all the summer sun you could wish for. Only a 10 min hop to Gandia and the beaches. We loved the nearby town of Barx with its supermarkets and freindly restaurants. We wiled away the evenings eating there and watching life go by-slowly! Ian and Jackie are great hosts and we hope to go back with more of the family. Sky stopped me getiing home sick for my dogs! Sorry we couldnt find pen on last day to fill in guest book!

The apartment was excellent - very well kitted out , with a pool and a barbeque, and in a lovely location . Ian and Jackie were extremely welcoming and always on hand if we needed to ask them anything.
We went for a week and there was plenty to do. Alicante is about an hour and halfs drive away, but there are loads of nice little towns within a much shorter drive. The beach is 20 mins drive away too.

The property was excellent. Everything you needed was included. Even all kitchen tools you could imagine were there.
The property is located perfectly for a relaxing holiday. 20 minutes driving from the beach and in the middle of the mountains. A very nice garden with a big swimming pool and sunbeds and terraces everywhere surrounded by mountains and the nice weather in the summer is enough to enjoy a very nice holiday.
The hosts Ian and Jackie and their dog Skye are lovely. They live above, but you barely notice their presence. When you need them for something, they are always available. Skye is always available for a small hug :)
Shortly, Our vacation in El Nido Apartment was GREAT!!

Beautiful place, quiet in mid summer time! 15 minutes from various beaches with no (foreign) tourists. We enjoyed our stay very very much. A hidden treasure!

We have just returned from El Nido and had a beautiful week in the most scenic location with amazing weather and an apartment which completely exceeded our expectations! The apartment itself has everything you could want and more - from towels and an umbrella to take to the beach, to a BBQ, picnic set and cool box! It was excellent value for money, would goes as far as to say cheap! In an amazing location in the valley with mountains on either side but only about an hour from Valencia Aiport and less than 5 minutes from the local village. If anything, the description under sold the apartment but it would be impossible to do it justice without actually seeing it! The owners were great, really friendly - we hardly saw them but they are on hand if you need anything e.g. help with the gas BBQ, restaurant recommendations, directions etc. They also provided a welcome pack of food which was really appreciated since we arrived on a Sunday when most of the shops were closed. There are lots of things to see and do in the area as long as you are comfortable with driving around a bit, we particularly enjoyed Xativa Castle and Santa Maria Monastery. We would definately recommend El Nido to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic holiday. We cannot fault anyhting about it and hope to return in the near future.

Superb spacious apartment, beautiful location, teriffic value, youll want for nothing aside from the very thoughtful welcome pack in the fridge, theres a very well equipped kitchen/lounge area, board games, dvds and a folder of local info. Owners (lovely people, both) live in adjoining property with their friendly dog, near & willing if help is required but very respectful of their tenants privacy. No kidding about the car essential part if you want to get out of the very pleasant pool/village, and youll need to be a confident but careful driver to negotiate the approaching twisty mountain roads. Whether its a peaceful day by the pool youre after, or a base that youll actually look forward to returning to after a days exploring, this fits both purposes.

When we arrived we were surprised by the big beautiful garden with view upon the mountains. In the apartment was a welcome package (bread, milk, juice, eggs, ham and cheese), for us very useful because we arrived on a sunday. The apartment had also all the other things you could wish for. Although the owners lived above us, weve hardly seen them. But if help was required they were always there. We definitely recommend this apartment to everybody!

We were unable to enjoy the full benifit of this excellent apartment due to the weather, this is something you have no control over and did not make our stay disappointing. We were able to go back to my mothers who lives near Murcia due to the poor weather. The way that my wife and myself were looked after by Ian was so laid back and honest made our stay feel as we were part of his family.
If this is how you want to run this buisness you will go far.
Thank you.

El Nido exceeded our expectations, so well equiped, and so peaceful, very relaxing holiday in comfortable surroundings.
Will return again I am sure. Our hosts were available if needed, but never intrusive, would recommend to anyone. Sky is a chilled dog too!

The property is very well equipped with everything you require. The location is good, within easy reach by car of a number of good beaches and in the peacefulness of the mountains. The owners (including Sky the dog)are welcoming, and helpful without being intrusive. The pool and garden areas and outside equipment are excellent. We would certainly recommend to friends and return ourselves for another stay. A very enjoyable holiday.

This place is absolutely excellent.
The hosts, Ian & Jackie are some of the kindest people my wife & I have met - And not to forget - the dog Sky.
The apartment & the surrondings are perfect, and you feel you self like home from the moment you arrive.
If you just want to do nothing, and enjoy the sun by the pool, or drive around in the surrounding mountains, we will recomment this
place.

Have just returned from El Nido and have had one of our best holidays ever. The area is beautiful and the setting of the apartment is stunning - swam every morning in the pool with a gorgeous mountain backdrop.
Ian and Jackie, as everyone else says, are perfect hosts. They totally respect their guests privacy but are always happy to help if needed.
The apartment was spotless and extremely well equipped. The outside areas offer both sun and shade and are very private.
Finally, Sky/e the dog IS great - she'll soon have her own fan club at this rate!

This is a wonderful property in a beautiful location. The property is of a very high specification and has everything you could possibly require whilst on holiday. The personal touches are first class and Ian & Jackie made us very welcome and willing to help with anything we required. The information on the surrounding area was very good and made it easy for us to choose where to visit. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting this area of Spain at any time of year.

A lovely apartment, spacious and well equipped. We were grateful for the central heating as the weather was not at its best for the time of year. Easy access to Gandia - 15 mins by car (the mountain road isn't that bad!) and some lovely walks from Barx and La Drova. Not a great selection of restaurants in the area out of season (except in Gandia town) but you can get everything you need in Barx if you're eating in. Ian and Jackie were the best of hosts and Skye (their dog) was an inquisitive, lovable character.

we booked this property in aug 2006,for almost 6 weeks,we were sorry to say farewell to ian and jackie and sky(the dog),were great unobtrusive hosts, the apartment was spacious and well equipped, and it did really feel the closest to having our own villa for two without the cost of hiring a 3 bedder when their was only two of us anyway. There is a real gap in the market for this sort of thing, and ian and jackie hane filled this niche nicely.you have the best of everything here, proper spanish village, reasonable prices, close to beaches, great hosts.and lovely pool and gardens and mountain views, you will need a car,the bed is a twin, not a double(may bother honeymooners!!)We never got bored, although night life its fair to say is quite, although GANDIA,is not far away for clubs ect.We will hopefully return one day and will keep in touch with Jackie and ian,we recommend this little oasis ,book and enjoy, regards james and april adios.

Wow, What a villa, what a View & what great Hosts including Sky the dog.
This was the 1st time i have ever booked a villa and what a 1st time experience, the photos do no justice, the villa is so much more spacious compared to the view of the photos.
I really could keep on writing so much more but i will leave the rest to you.
All in all a fantastic holiday Ian and Jackie will make sure that your holiday is perfect right down to the last details. Fiona and I will definitely be going back next year.

We had a wonderful time here. The villa is spacious and was very clean in a beautiful environment. The surrounding area is very quiet with a few places to eat in. The drive down to Gandia is about 20 mins and there are some good places to eat and drink as well as a lovely big beach which is a bit further out of town but worth it. Beware, it seemed that most of the waiters/waitresses didnt speak english so we should have taken our phrase book! A great holiday all in all.

This is the best holiday home we've had. Ian and Jacqui were fantastic and made us feel at home, as did their scamp of a dog Sky. It's a beatutiful setting, peaceful and relaxing, with dramatic hills either side. The apartment really is first rate, and excellent value for money and very comfortable. Wish them all the best for the future.

Jackie and Ian were the perfect hosts and went over any above to make out holiday an enjoyable one.
I would thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone just wanting to get away from it all and enjoy the real Spain.

A very comfortable and well-equipped apartment attached to a beautiful villa, with a lovely pool area. The village location was quiet with spectacular scenery all around. Ian and Jackie were perfect hosts, helpful and attentive, but, not intrusive.
