Casa Isla Vedra - This semi-detached villa (2003) has panoramic views of the famous La Mata salt lake from the terraces. Located in a quiet residential area, it is only a few minutes drive from the superb beach at Guardamar and the bustling market town of Torrevieja, and is serviced by 2 airports, Alicante (30 minutes north) and Murcia (30 minutes south)
The property is superbly equipped and furnished, and has spacious terraces upstairs and downstairs. It has a private pool and the garden/pool area is fully tiled with a patio/BBQ area. The property is south facing and benefits from all day sunshine.
Amongst the many facilities on site are the La Marquesa Golf Course, an aqua park, bowls club, nature reserve with BBQ facilities and picnic areas, as well as many bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and medical centres. There are numerous activities within a short distance such as horse-riding, crazy golf, go-karting and all types of watersports. A little further afield are the attractions of Terra Mitica, Aqualandia, and Mundomar sea life centre.
For golfers there are various superb courses within a short drive including La Marquesa, La Finca, Las Ramblas, Real Club de Campoamor,Villamartin and the renowned course at La Manga making this area truly a golfers paradise.
A little further afield are numerous other courses on the Mar Menor, including the famous courses at the renowned La Manga Club.
Ciudad Quesada and area
Ciudad Quesada is an award winning urbanization located on south facing slopes with commanding views over the salt lakes of La Mata and Torrevieja. Beyond them the Mediterranean sea glistens on the horizon and further views take in the mountains and inland plains covered with orange and lemon groves filling the air with delicate aroma in flowering seasons. Each of the local towns holds a weekly street market where fruit and vegetables, cooked food and of course the local wine can be bought very cheaply. The area is quite cosmopolitan and the many restaurants reflect the differing cultures and tastes.
The abundance of facilities, local markets and fiestas makes this a truly year-round location, whether for families, golfers or those who just want to chill out!
There are numerous other activities and excursions which can also be found within a short distance of Ciudad Quesada, including go-karting, crazy golf, balloon flights over the Elche area, boats trips around the harbour and and trips with “submarine” underwater viewing to the small island of Tabarca.
Alittle further afield are the attractions of “Aqualand”, a huge aqua park near Benidorm, as well as “Mundomarr” next to it, a sea life centre well worth a day out.
“Terra Mitica”, Spain´s answer to Disneyland is also close to Benidorm, about 90 minutes drive away. This boasts a wealth of attractions based on similar themes to Disneyland with various worlds to visit and many rides and events within each one.
