This apartment is in a perfect location, close to all the amenities and beaches. We found it to be very well equipped and we were very comfortable. The owners were very helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed before we went and the apartment managers helped us on a number of occasions while we were in Playa Blanca. Playa Blanca itself is a gem. Really interesting and very relaxing. It has lots of super restaurants and the beaches are lovely. We intend to return there and to stay at Casa las Anclas if at all possible. Thank you. Andy and Elaine.

We stayed for two weeks 1st-15th October and the weather was wonderful. Our first experience of Casa las Anclas was an unqualified success. The apartment was clean and provided all the home comforts that we could expect. It is located in town, near to the restaurants, yet is quiet during the late evening and through the night. A home from home.
Thanks also to Tony and Sandra for replacing a fan during our stay, all dealt with very efficiently and without fuss.
I would not hesitate to recommend the apartment to my friends.
Many thanks.

This was our 2nd time at this apartment and we love it! Spent 3 glorious weeks watching the world go by, crisping on the roof and just relaxing. It was our 5th time to Playa Blanca and will be coming back next year, this time with our grandchildren, unfortunately the apartment was booked for the dates we wanted so we had to look elsewhere but wouldnt hesitate to recomend this to someone. It just makes life so easy being in the middle of town and thats what we all want on holiday aint it?
Many thanks to John for ringing a week or so before we left to make sure everything was ok and to Sandra and Tony for everything they do while were there, dont hesitate to ring them if you need any help as they will be only to happy to come out to you. Once again 10/10!!

This apartment was everything we hoped for and more - right in the centre of playa blanca but very quiet and relaxed. Only a few minutes stroll to the beautiful dorada beach and lots of lovely restaurants. Have already checked out availability for next year - will definately be back!

This was our second time at this apartment and we felt at home straightaway. We had a fantastic two weeks, the only problem was they went by too quickly. Like everyone else before us, we enjoyed people-watching from the balcony although, sadly, this year there did seem fewer people to watch. We did, however, see two people purchase something from Blue Willis. Sandra was very friendly and helpful and the apartment was very clean and tidy. We very much hope to rent this apartment again.

This property was really central and accessible. It was clean and very well presented with all the equipment you could ask for. When we arrived we needed to contact the lady who oversees the apartment and she was excellent and came to see us the same day to resolve our problem. I would definitely recommend this apartment if you wanted a lazy week people watching in a central location this is perfect.

The apartment is in an excellent position and the sun roof was ideal and a real "sun trap". Had some noise from the shop next door to Cafe 34 as they were just setting up and were drilling at 11.30 p.m. (they stopped when my husband went down to tell them they were disturbing us) - they were polite but the noise and drilling continued throughout the holiday albeit not after 11.30 p.m.
We love Playa Blanca and will certainly go again in the near future even though we found this year that it was very expensive. I dont think I found anything in the supermarkets cheaper than England with the possible exception of wine. We used the Cervantes Restaurant which we found very good value considering the cost of food.
To sum up, the apartment is excellent value particularly for a family and is well situated and will be very quiet once again now the new shop below has opened. We would recommend to our family and friends without hesitation both Playa Blanca and Casa Las Anclas for an excellent holiday.

A very comfortable place to be, we were very happy with its position, so close to everything but not noisy. The balcony WAS perfect for people watching and enjoying breakfast and the roof terrace was great for barbecuing. We would definately go back again. Playa Blanca still remains my favourite place to stay on the island.

We have stayed here twice before and we are looking forward to our third visit in the near future. We love the apartment. It is really well equipped and is in a super location in the town centre. And it is surprisingly quiet for its central location. You can walk to the Playa Blanca beach in less than two minutes, and all the shops and restaurants are on the doorstep. The roof terrace is great for barbecues and sun lounging, but sitting on the balcony watching people in the (pedestrianised) street below is one of our favourite relaxing holiday activities! Playa Blanca is lovely. We love walking along the promenade, stopping at the cafes and little shops. There are some really good value restaurants and the supermarkets mean you can cater for yourself quite cheaply. Great value for money and much better than a package. Paul.

We stayed here for two weeks and really enjoyed it. Location was great and central to everything. Apartment was very clean and equipped with all you require. A free bottle of wine and water in the fridge freezer was a nice suprise as was a courtesy visit from Sandra on day 2 to ask if there were any problems. If you are going here, use Johns taxi driver as he is a lot cheaper and knows where he is going. We totally agree with all previous comments regarding the apartment and its location. The only downside was that we found Playa Blanca very expensive and this was made worse by the poor exchange rate. If you fly with Globespan make sure you include your hand luggage in your allowance, (they weigh it on your return journey).
I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did and a big thanks to John for letting us use the apartment.

A most comfortable, well equipped and brilliantly positioned apartment.
The balcony was excellent and a very interesting position with always something to see while enjoying refreshments.
The sun roof was great with everything you needed to enjoy your relaxing moments and a great view of the new marina.
Very well maintained and well managed locally.
Will definately try to book this apartment on our next visit to Playa Blanca.

This was our 1st stay at this apartment and all I can say is that its fantastic!
All you could ask for on a holiday is within walking distance and theres a lovely bar downstairs that does a great breakfast if you dont feel like cooking. The balcony is great to watch the world go by and the roof terrace is brilliant as you get sun all day.Everything you need for the beach is supplied and its just basically home from home-its superb!!
10/10

Good sized accomodation and superbly located for town & beaches.
Ideal for watching the world go by from the balcony and catching the sun on the roof terrace.
With the weather we had air conditioning would be a godsend!
Would go again and have no hesitation in recommending the apartment.

We were very pleased with the apartment, it was clean and very well equipped. We love being on the main street in Playa Blanca and this apartment is perfectly situated. I was very pleased that the owner of the apartment took the time to phone me before we left for holiday and that the owner's agent called round to the apartment to see if we had everything we needed.
We would definitely book this apartment again and have in fact already recommended it to a friend.

Been to Playa Blanca on four occasions before, this is the best accomodation by far. Close to shops and restaurants, excellent for sun bathing on the roof, and people watchig on the verandah, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Am going back to the apartment, in march, for a months stay this time. Cant wait!

casa las anclas is in a wonderful location, right in the centre of playa blanca, but on a pedestrianised street which means it never gets very noisy. The apartment itself is basically furnished, spacious & spotlessly clean. The apartment's best asset is undoubtedly the roof terrace with it's lovely sea views. There are loungers & dining furniture up here & you get the sun all day. come out of the apartment, turn right & approx 50 feet away is bazaar sarah, which has the cheapest selection of Torres wines in resort including the delicious gran vina sol over 3 euros cheaper than the supermarket. turn left & 50feet away is the netto supermarket where you can get fresh baked bread. another netto, a spar & a dino supermarket are all just a short distance away. PB itself is very pretty with tons of restaurants immediately in front on the apartment along the waters edge & others in the marina a pleasant 1/2 hour walk away. Our favourites were aromas, cervantes & the one with a picture of an oven & an old lady on the menu board . The name means granny's oven, but can't remember the spanish word for granny. If you like traditional spanish food this is the place to try suckling pig roast lamb etc. It's also air conditioned which was great as the weather was very hot when we were there. Would definitely return to casa anclas. the only suggestion I have (as a lazy beggar who likes a siesta) is for air conditioning & blackout linings in the bedroom. That would have been heaven. Many thanks to John for helping to organise the holiday & the airport transfers.

APARTMENT IN A VERY GOOD LOCATION IN THE CENTRE OF PLAYA BLANCA BUT NOT NOISY. WE HAVE BEEN TO PLAYA BLANCS SEVERAL TIMES BUT ON THE PLAYA FLAMINGO SIDE AND WE MUST SAY THIS APARTMENT IS IDEAL FOR WALKING TO BOTH SIDES OF PLAYA BLANCA AND HANDY FOR SUPERMARKETS, SHOPS AND RESTAURANTS. THE ROOF TERRACE IS IDEAL FOR SUNBATHING AND JUST RELAXING. THERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN THE APARTMENT EVEN AN HAIR DRYER. WE WOULD RECOMMEND.

This apartment fully lived up to the previous reviews; very comfortable, super apartment in great location with 3 lovely beaches in walking distance & lots of shops & restaurants close by. Although you don't need a car it is well worth getting one (cheap to hire) & visiting the islands attractions especially the works of Caesar Manrique. Don't miss Cervantes restaurant - food cooked in front of you on indoor BBQ!. We wouldn't recommend Resorthopper for your transfer (dreadful) - ask owner for details of his friend who does transfers - easier if they know apartment with it being on a pedestrian only street. Apartment is ideal for families with travel cot provided & plenty of room. Jo & Kev in Cafe 34 downstairs are a great source of advice!

What a lovely apartment. You can never really tell from pictures how good a holiday rental will be but this one certainly lived up to expectations. Great location, roof terrace excellent and everyone so friendly - especially downstairs in Cafe 34 (really good breakfasts!). We will be back!

Very comfortable and well appointed, in an excellent location. We had a very good week and would not hesitate to recommend this property to others.
Only slight problem is parking situation. Suggest you mention in the travel details the free carpark off dual carriageway going towards port as it is only about 3 mins walk from the apartment walking up Calle Limones from the port end. Trying to find spaces on the streets is a bit of a lottery.
Owner reply:
I am really pleased you found the apartment so comfortable and convenient. Regarding parking, fortunately of course, you don't need the car whilst in Playa Blanca because the apartment is so close to everything. But you are right, parking is becoming an ever increasing challenge. The best place is the harbour, where there is still unrestricted parking and is just a few minutes walk to the apartment. Regards.

We had a fantastic holiday, which was made possible by the excellent apartment. It exceeded our expectations on quality location and facilities. We would personally recommend to anyone. We are also rebooking for 2008 and we "never go back"!

Very favourable regarding the fixtures and fittings and the 'little extras' provided (especially the bottle of vino !) Enjoyed sunbathing on the roof terrace but found that the door wes (very) hard to open (perhaps a new latch) Otherwise everything fine apart from the sound of beer barrels being dragged across the floor of the bar downstairs every morning at about 7.30am ! Seems the lease is up for sale so maybe that (minor) irritation will disappear ! Many thanks

Location of apartment is superb for people watching from the balcony, sunbathing on the large roof terrance, which has glorious views over Playa Blanca......perfect for restaurants..supermarkets...bars and lots of marvellous walks. We had a great 2 weeks and the weather was beautiful, didn't want to come home.

We had never been to the Canaries before and I spent some time carrying out careful research before selecting this location and accommodation. Everything about the holiday fully met our expectations and aspirations. The apartment was spacious, clean and well-equipped. It was perfectly located right in the centre of Playa Blanca whilst, at the same time, it was very quiet. We definitely hope to go again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet, peaceful and relaxing holiday

We only had a short stay at the apartment but found it to be clean, spacious and exactly what we were looking for. It is in an ideal location, near to the beach, shops & restaurants but not noisy at all. There were lots of extras (sky TV, adaptor plugs, hairdryer etc) that we hadn't expected and even the sofa bed in the living room was very comfortable! The owners were very helpful, providing loads of info and recommendations. We had a great holiday and would happily recommend to others.

Excellent apartment in a perfect position in Playa Blanca. The apartment was clean with excellent facilities. The local agents were also very helpful. As for Playa Blanca most restaurants are excellent value and very good quality. On the island most tourist attractions (government owned!) are reasonably priced. Be warned though - many attractions do not take credit cards.
Would definitely return to this apartment

The property is in a fantastic location and was an ideal size for us. Playa
Blanca is a lovely resort and the beaches were fabulous, especially for our
little girl who could play safely without any concerns. We had a lovely
weeks holiday with the weather and facilities available to us meeting all of
our requirements.
I would highly recommend this apartment and resort to anyone who is looking
for a lovely relaxing
break.
Very enjoyable thankyou.

The apartment is a super location for a really relaxing holiday. It is extremely convenient for all the local shops and restaurants and also very close to the promenade and beach. Despite its central location it is extremely quiet so it really gives the best of both worlds. We found it very well equipped and clean. We hope to return again soon.
Review submitted by Tim from London (Submitted: 22 Apr 2006)
We went to stay here Easter 2006, with three children aged 4, 3 and 6 months. The apartment was ideal for us with all the 'mod cons' - on the ground floor there was room to leave prams etc. The main accommodation on the first floor included a spacious living area with immaculate kitchen, 2 good sized double bedrooms and a balcony. On the second floor was a large roof terrace with views to the sea ( one street behind the noisier sea front). On the roof terrace was a utility room with washer and dryer, loungers, table, chairs etc.
We were slightly concerned that the apartment, having all the benefits of being in central Playa Blanca might be noisy - but this was not a problem.
Review submitted by Anne from Llanfairfechan, North Wales (Submitted: 27 Mar 2006)
This apartment was a great find. It is comfortable, very well equipped and is in a good central location but surprisingly quiet. We could breakfast on the balcony, sunbathe/relax on the roof terrace - good views - or stroll as far as we liked along the promenade. The sun shone every day, the sea was warm, the sand was hot. Too good to be true? No, that's just the way it was! A very relaxing holiday.
Review submitted by Hugh from Dublin, Ireland (Submitted: 20 Feb 2006)
This appartment is well situated in Playa Blanca. On the main pedestrianised thoroughfare, it is well placed for the shops, the restaurants and the beaches. If you were happy to stick with Playa Dorada, which is a nice stretch of beach, then you wouldn't need a car - and as parking can be tricky that would not be a bad thing.
The appartment itself is nicely laid out, well equipped and wins with the little balcony to put your feet up and watch the passing trade, or even better - up to the roof terrace and chill in the afternoon/evening. Great spot for a bit of sun-trap crisping up with a nice cold cerveza!
Certainly to be recommended and would look to go again if we were headed Lanzarote way. Also it was surprisingly quiet in the evenings and at night which was very pleasant.
Finally, the landlords were a great assistance to us and could not have been more helpful..top marks for service - excellent!
Locally? Sandras is a nice little local patisseria; some great tapas spots...it's all there.
