We had a fantastic time staying in this Villa. There were 8 of us in total, 4 adults and 4 children and the property was plenty big enough. We have stayed in Benidorm on 2 separate occasions previously but had gone to All Inclusive Hotels. I can honestly say that it was the best move we had made, such a change from the usual rat race and queues for sunbeds!! We had such a relaxing time and will definitely be returning.
LOCATION - fantastic! There is a large grocery store within a 3 minute walk, there are restaurants and bars within the same distance and about a 8 minute walk to either the beach or into the main drag of the old town.
VILLA - the pool is amazing and its straight through the gate attached to the villa, and it was never busy. Mostly Spanish people around the pool who were very friendly and spoke great English, they stay frequently so recommended some nice restaurants. By 2pm they all leave for a Siesta so from 2pm onwards we were the only ones in the pool! Lots of shade and benches and pool is surrounded by grass so you dont have to worry about slips. The outside bar was handy to keep drinks cool and a stones throw away from the pool! We also had a few TV nights with a takeaway for a more chilled evening possible because of the outside TV.
NIGHTLIFE - we had one of our best nights at Levis Showboat. Book a table to dine and you automatically get a seat for the cabaret so you can take your time over eating. Dont go on a Monday as this is not a usual cabaret night and is not as good as a main night. The White Horse has great entertainment as does Morgans Tavern. We also went on a Tapas night in the old town which was fantastic, get the bus if you go as its only 1.5 euros and cheaper than a cab.
I would recommend this Villa to anyone travelling to Benidorm, it was like an oasis of calm amongst the crazy party town of Benidorm so you had the best of both worlds. A few niggles generally but very very minor and did not effect our stay. The full range of SKY tv channels were not available as new viewing cards were needed. We didnt go on holiday to watch TV so no issues here, the main freeview channels were available. The en-suite showers in the two upstairs bedrooms were a little temperamental with heat and pressure and very small - you can still have an adequate shower, so again not real problem. Before we arrived we checked to ensure there were sunbeds at the property, but on the say we arrived we were told that they had broken and needed to be taken back to the shop so only one was left. Due to it being grass around the pool this was not a major problem, there were also some reclining chairs and footstools so we got around the issue there too! The kettle was temperamental which was frustrating for the tea/coffee drinkers amongst us but after a few days we overcome the kettles strange behaviour and adapted to it.
As you can see, even the niggles were not major and no different to the little things that happen in your own home. I am very glad we found this Villa and experienced a different style of holiday, I will NOT be going back to an All Inclusive holiday EVER again!. Thanks Arthur and your family for allowing us to stay in your second home.
