Villa Cal Papas rustic style is very attractive from the outside and it is set in beautiful, well kept gardens where we found figs, pommegranates, apples and grapes among many other interesting trees and plants. The pool is large enough to have a proper swim - and deep enough to jump into - and has its own pool house, providing shade and an alternative place to sit and eat. There is also a shady terrace at the front of the villa, covered by rattan and the grape vines.
Inside, the villa is large, with a simple, attractive decor and we found it to be exceptionally clean and a pleasure to use.
There are a couple of other villas relatively close by, but these were not intrusive in any way and didnt spoil our enjoyment of Cal Papa.
We took our 2 boys (13 and 11) and they enjoyed the pool and exploring the gardens and local area and occasionally retreated to watch DVDs in the cool of the house during the heat of the day.
Our only downside was that we were saddened by the beautiful, friendly, extended family of cats who live around the the villas as they were suffering in varying degrees from mange. The owners of the three local villas could easily share the cost of neutering the males and either treating or putting to sleep the worst affected of the other cats. We hope this comment might prompt someone to deal with the problem in a kind and humane way.
