Due to flight delays we arrived over 12 hours late for the start of our holiday. Dave and Mo had taken the time to furnish us with tea, coffee, milk, bread, cereals etc. They stayed up to greet us and immediately made us feel welcome. The high standard of their welcome never fluctuated, but then again we knew what to expect, this was our second stay.
There had been several improvements to the property since our previous visit 3 years earlier but the quality and cleanliness remained as high as ever.
Our daughter loved the pool and used it to become a proficient swimmer (32 lengths at the end of the holiday!!!). The neighbours were friendly, the countryside scenic and the local towns and villages welcoming. In short everything you could require for holiday in Real Spain.
We look forward to our return to this special location in a beutiful part of Spain.

Dave & Mo are Davinately the hostesses with the Mostesses !! Really helpful and knowledgeable about the area and happy to share routes and reccommendations.
Great setting - out of the way but near enough to a few villages for supllies and sitting outside watching the world go by. Lovely, not over chlorinated pool and homely, comfy garden furniture with pretty planting. Well equipped villa, nice big bathroom and AC in 2 rooms. All the comforts of home with a warm welcome. Nelson and Hardy just add to the charm - they are very good boys.

We enjoyed our stay at the bungalow.
It was a little remote especially if the local shop(5 mins drive) was closed as we had to drive 25 mins to the main supermarket.
The bungalow was adequate with nice private pool but we felt the kitchen was a little unclean especially the oven/stove , cupboards and plates and utensils etc.
It would have been very helpful had the owners mentioned they had 3 large dogs at the property which were roaming around as our daughter has a dog phobia. They were in the owners area but freely roamed by our car so each time we came and went our daughter was very uncomfortable. The dogs tended to wake us up barking each morning.
Dave and mo were very helpful with their beach ideas and places of interest to visit. The kids enjoyed Daves stargazing lesson and had plenty to do like Tennis and Table tennis.
Books and games were provided and plenty of accessories and beach towels which was a great help to us.
Overall we had a relaxing holiday in a nice part of Spain!

Paula Eddie and family decided to go to the main city of Huelva to do their shopping which is 25 minutes away. The main supermarket locally is just 15 minutes away in Valverde de Camino. The kitchen is always cleaned thoroughly after every visitor and all dishes and cutlery go through dishwasher before guests arrive. It is often included in our visitors book how clean our bungalow is. It is a puzzle why nothing was mentioned to the owners who are on site or included in the onsite visitors book. It was suggested by the owners that the dogs could stay in their special area but there was no request from guests to keep them away at all times. It seemed that the children were getting used to our two lovely dalmation dogs Nelson and Hardy and Leo our friends dog as they were stoking them although a bit tentively. We normally only have 2 dogs but because a local friend had collapsed with a stroke we were looking after his dog as well. We have had guests previously where the children had very bad dog phobias but by the end of their holiday they were playing with the dogs. We obviously need to be a bit more careful about our guests interaction with our dogs.
Paula and Eddie did include in their comments in our onsite guest book that the holiday here was not " Long Enough"! The review in our visitors book on site shows how very much Paula Eddie and the children enjoyed their visit.
If anything is not as it should be we would like guests to tell us immediately so that we can see it for ourselves and put it right.

Lovely place. We all enjoyed our stay enormously. The photos dont do it justice. These is plenty of space to relax and unwind. As youre on top of a hill the cool pine scented breezes are very welcome in the heat of the day. There are lots of places to visit if youre in the mood or if you just want to chill out stay where you are.
Finally, youd be hard pushed to meet a better host than Dave.

A wonderful relaxing holiday in the sunshine with great hosts, Mo and Dave. They looked after us so well. We went to such interesting places such as the fantastic caves at Arecena which were our favourites. The pool was super, never had a pool to ourselves before, and we really swam properly! Don't really want to go home. Thank you Mo and Dave for a lovely time in this beautiful part of the country especially your colourful garden - enjoyed the flowers so much. Shall miss Nelson and Hardy the dogs - Great Characters!

John and Margaret from Ireland visited for the second time 31st August to 14th September 2010. They had booked for May 2010 but due to ash cloud stopping flights we moved their holiday to August without cost.
Their review in the visitors book at the bungalow is as follows, " Another excellent holiday. Looked after royally by Mo and especially Dave. We did nothing (John and Margaret loved to sit and chat around the pool or under the terrace) which is how we like it. Thank you from both of us.

From the moment we arrived we knew we had found the perfect place to 'chill out'. Maureen and Dave certainly offer you the warmest of welcomes, and make you feel instantly comfortable. Everything you could possibly need is at hand, the bungalow was perfect for the two of us, extremely comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean, with the swimming pool a couple of metres away and air conditioning for those warm and barmy nights.

My wife and I together with our 21 year old daughter booked the bugalow for a relaxing 9 day break in rural Andalucia. We arrived late at night in our hire car from Seville airport and Mr and Mrs Ashby were waiting to meet us. They made us feel very welcome from the start and their hospitality throughout our stay was faultless.
We found the bugalow to be of a good size, it was very clean and very well equipped throughout. On the nights when we stayed in we made use of the facilities available, we had a barbecue on a couple of occasions out on the covered terrace, it was also nice to eat breakfast at the table there in the mornings, which we did every day. The bungalow has Sat TV, DVDs, books, there were even various board games and cards available for us to use.
The swimming pool was a good size and Mr Ashby ensures that it is kept very clean, there are ample sun beds and loungers and the property is quite private with views of pine forest surrounding it.
We also used the bungalow as a base to drive out to explore some of the towns and beaches in the area. We could come and go whenever we wanted to, I noticed that on occasions when we arrived back late after dark, that the outside lights on the terrace had been left on for us. Overall I can say that we enjoyed a really relaxing break in a very nice part of Spain.

We very much enjoyed our stay and found it an excellent base for searching for our own property. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the pool as the temperatures soared into the 40s. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Really lovely, home from home. Very relaxing, great surroundings just as described on the internet. The hosts were very helpful, informative and friendly when required but maintained a discreet distance at other times. Goats, dogs and cats were a bonus. The only thing I would stress is that you really do need a car to see the area, shop and eat out. Perfect for a chilled out, relaxing, intimate holiday for two!
Owner reply:
It was good to see Alan walking around and exploring the local area for extensive birdwatching at every opportunity whilst Lisa soaked up the sun and relaxation around the pool. Having decided that following a hectic horseriding holiday near Sevilla that they loved to stay at the bungalow and enjoy the locality. This included real Spanish food at the local bar just 5 minutes drive away.

The bungalow was very well equipped - from toothepicks to a trouser press, and clean and tidy.
Outside the gardens were thoughtfully laid out with bright flowers, shrubs and large lawn areas and plenty of sunbeds and shades.
The pool was very clean and inviting and a good size even for a keen swimmer. The shallow end was over a metre deep which might be a problem for some.
Overall an excellent property in an ideal area if you prefer the real Spain.

The bungalow was perfect for our needs. Lovely location, really peaceful. Great pool on site, the perfect place to unwind and relax. The beaches are fabulous and only 30-40 mins away. Stunning walks and drives through beautiful countryside. Easy access from the property to the local villages which have supermarkets, banks, etc and some great resturants which are all child friendly! A fantastic holiday made even better by the charming owners, Dave & Mo.

We found this property suited our requirements to have a peaceful holiday in the real spain.
Excellent facilities and the owners could not have been more helpful. Compared to other accomodation prices,we found this property to be excellent value and would certainly encourage friends to use this cottage.
Owner reply:
It was lovely to see Andrew, Shirley and Patrick enjoy relaxing around the pool or peaceful Bungalow area after dipping in to visits to typical spanish local towns, Huelva City, the beaches of Costa Del Luz and of course Sevilla. They loved their visit to Sevilla which is only 45 minutes away from the Bungalow. One of the comments they made was that for the whole two weeks the only people they spoke to in English was us. They also loved the caves of Aracena which is about 35 minutes away. It is good to know they look forward to another visit sometime in the future.
