We visited in October 2010 and had a really nice time. The accommodation is nice, with plenty of space. Its comfortable both inside and out and fine for a family with small kids (or large ones!).
The advantage of three cabins could mean groups of friends or extended families holidaying together.
The pool and BBQ area are well maintained and in summer would be ideal for dining out.
I would absolutely recommend this as excellent value for money but did have one disappointment. Most people going on this type of holiday eat out, so this wouldnt bother them, but I like to cook, so the absence of an oven was a bit of a disappointment. There is a hob and microwave though.
Overall, very, very good value hoiliday accommodation.

To say we liked this property is not enough. Its as if your in heaven, surrounded by nature, away from usual hectic environments. Its a real jewel!! We are also grateful to the owner who was extremely helpful even when we needed help on the first day when our car broke down. I would recommend this property to family and friends. Worth lodging.

I stayed at the House on the Hill a little while ago. But regularly since, I try and book to go back but for one reason or another have been unable to.
I thought it was a great place for a short break. With my family , I had 5 nights here and thought it was a great location to submerge myself in the real spain. I truly recommend it.
Very easy to get to from the airport, easy access to Valencia and not too far from the coast. And the journey to the coast is spectacular at times.

3rd year and still a lovely holiday. Visited old haunts and many new ones. Valencia on the train is easy and a ´must do´, also for the children terra mitica was great. With colins directions was and wasy trip to make. We went again the the vineyard, the mountain lakes and the castle. We all enjoyed the pool area and made the most of the BBQ. Thanks again for a fab holiday in a safe environment.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay here in ¨casa en la colina¨we have really enjoyed it. We have been relaxing by the pool and the beach at Tavernes was also perfect. A trip to Valencia was great, it is a beautiful city. They meals you cooked were delicious, and mountain biking in the hills was great excercise. We will surely recommend this wonderful place to our friends in Denmark.

This was our first family holiday to mainland Spain and it did not disappoint. We were met by the owner Colin in the nearest main town of Xativa, and took the 10 minute drive to the House on the Hill. Slightly off the beaten track, the accomodation nestles amongst the orange groves. The pine cabins are very well appointed, with a shared pool nearby where you can relax, and meet up with fellow guests. We recommend taking the bikes out for excursions around the lanes between the orange groves. There are fantastic beaches about 45 minutes away which you get to by taking the winding roads over the hills from where you take in fantastic views.
In summary, excellent accomodation in a superb location run by very welcoming and helpful hosts. The only slightly negative thing we can think of is that we didn't get out as much as we thought we would because it was too easy to just relax by the pool!

Colin and Mandy provide an excellent villa holiday experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and the hosts will provide you with all the advice you need to make the most of your stay. The chalets are comfortable and well equiped and the homemade food is great.
You are half an hour from great beaches and Xativa is lovely town. We will return.
