Hilda was a most accommodating host, the cottage was in a great location to visit so much of the local area, the beaches locally were superb and for a relaxing holiday you could not beat it

This is a great place to stay and provided us with an ideal base to explore this beautiful coast. The cottage we stayed in was very clean and well equipped. It also had a lovely balcony which was a great place to relax when the weather was good. The garden is also a great place to chill out. Just 10 minutes walk away is an amazing beach, and there are also a couple of good restaurants/bars close by. Hilda and Luis were both very welcoming and helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Very spartan, particularly in the Winter months. When we arrived it was lashing it down with rain and the accommodation we had booked was inappropriate as, to get to the bathroom and kitchen, you had to go out in the rain. We were offered the downstairs property instead but were dissappointed to have to pay an extra 20 euros for the privilege of not getting wet- on top of the extra 30 euros for heating! Apart from that it was adequate but hardly relaxing this time of year. We are sure it would be nice in the warmer months and the area was very relaxing if a little too backward for us. We are from Cornwall and love the sea, country etc, but we found this part of Spain to be too remote and quiet, even for us. Very bohemian and probably good for surfing, but not while we were there! Hilda was extremely eager to please and Luis was a star, coming over to make sure we were ok in the middle of a thunder storm!

If you fancy a quiet holiday away from crowded beaches go to Los Cortijos and enjoy a pleasant stay in simply but efficiently furnished and nicely decorated holiday homes. Don`t worry if you are not familiar with the area as the owners will give you some useful advice on where to spend your days and nights out. Wild beaches, a nature reserve and several bars are just a stone`s throw away from Los Cortijos, and so is Vejer, a lovely white village nestling in the mountains nearby.

I loved La Buganvilla and will definately go back! Hilda also let me have a look at the other properties available, each with lots of character and special touches. The accomodation was exactly what we wanted. We had searched for some time for something different, not wanting to be in a typical apartment/tourist setup and got exactly what we were looking for. Hilda is really helpful and welcoming. I would recommend any of the farmhouses for a range of holidays, whether chilling out, exploring, partying, surfing..there are so many cool places to go closeby.

We had a lovely time in Zahora. Our hostess Hilda was very thoughtful and made us feel incredibly welcome, from recommending a good spot for Menu de Dia, to entertaining us with stories about the man with no shame.
We enjoyed splashing with her children in the pool and playing in the garden with the pets.
Thank you
