A quick summary of the apartment

Our duplex apartment is on two levels,the main picture you see, the apartment it the top right.
The lower level has an open plan living room and kitchen this is more than spacious for a family of 4 . Moving outside onto a patio balcony that comfortably houses a large round table and four chairs , from this balcony you have the full view of the large pool and all the coming and goings on the complex, perfect to watch the kids swim whilst you have a relaxing rest. The Kitchen has both a washing machine , full size fridge freezer and a gas hob there is also plenty of storage space . The downstairs toilet comes complete with wash basin .
Moving upstairs , there are 2 double rooms the main bedroom has a balcony that is glass fronted, great when you lie in bed looking out at the mountains both at night and in the early morning , the views are superb!!! The second bedroom has a double bed , both rooms have remote air-con fitted , There is also a large area at the top of the stairs that we use when friends stop there is a double blow up bed we use that more than fits in this area ,no air-con, however we have some stand up fans that work a treat. The bathroom is a corner bath with sliding doors there is a shower that works very well along with a toilet and washbasin.


The complex and local area
Armutulan is possible the best area in Marmaris , the ex president lives across the road, The complex houses 60 apartments half are Turkish the rest are holiday home owners. You will find it very quite and sometimes you may be the only ones around the pool .People are very friendly , there is no bang bang music this is a place to relax and respect.
The bus stop is right outside with the dolmus arriving in summer every 5 min ,Marmaris centre is no more than 10 min away. Local bars are a short work , some of these are lively and again very friendly however music is off at 12 pm Marmaris town is open till late so don’t worry if you want a late night dance. The complex is surrounded by a few hotels so you are not on your own.
The complex is at the foot of a nature trail hence the name "Nature Homes" the backdrop therefore is pine forests .
There are many shops and place to eat and drink within a 5 min walk

Our reasons
For those that have never been to Marmaris hopefully you will be pleasantly surprised . We first came here 7 years ago after trying a host of family holidays all over Europe including a few other locations in Turkey.
We found that not only did Marmaries cater for all age groups and family needs , there is the old town with its massive market winding streets and the biggest marine in turkey hosted by an array of eateries to the other side of the beach with its lively bars and late night music.

We find the people very friendly and the cost of living very fair depending of the Turkish Lira you should estimate a pint of beer to be no more £1.80 a steak meal on the harbour front £8 and fish meals less than £7 We find that the norm for a family of 4 at night including drinks is about £10 per head . If you fancy a proper English breakfast these will set you back about £2 !!!!!

Weather will vary , April is nice not many people about as the tourist season closes end of October and restarts early May . May starts to get hot with the pool starting to get filled by the end of May ready for the 40 degree plus that is on it’s way.

We bought our apartment within 20 min of viewing it . We had no plans to rent it out however after 3 years and all the family saying we should due to their experience we have decided to give it a try as it is locked up for 80% of the year.
